A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chater 27

Chapter 27 Don't Dislike Him

Sierra asked Theo as they reached the car. The bouquet in her hands filled her with a sense of unease.

Theo turned to look at her, his dark eyes deep and complex. Sierra quickly glanced away, unable to meet his gaze. It felt like his eyes were pulling her into a bottomless pit.

“Are you worried about being misunderstood?” he asked, his gaze sharp and penetrating.

Sierra didn't know how to react to his question. “I'm afraid I might cause trouble for you, Uncle Theo."

“So it's not that you dislike me?” He took a step closer, asking softly. He towered over her, and she was completely engulfed in his shadow.

She looked up, his handsome face now just inches away. Her heart raced uncontrollably.

Sierra forced herself to stay calm. She shook her head and said, “No. I have nothing but respect for you, Uncle Theo."

“Respect?” He chuckled, his eyes glinting with a mischievous spark. “Sierra, I don't like that word.”

Her name sounded incredibly alluring when he said it. A slight tremor ran through her, and for a moment, she couldn't find the words to respond. Theo's eyes never left her, noticing how her lips tightened in nervousness. A soft sigh escaped him. Perhaps he had been too quick to press her. "This word makes me sound too old,” he added.

His gaze dimmed slightly when he saw her relax at his response.

“Uncle Theo, you're very young. Not old at all,” Sierra quickly said sincerely.

A hint of starlight reflected in his eyes, and a small smile tugged at his lips. "Get in the car. I'll drive you home."

After dropping Sierra off, it began to drizzle. Theo glanced at the message on his phone, a shadow crossing his dark eyes. His voice turned cold. "Head to the Gray Manor."

"Understood,” Adrian responded respectfully, then drove off.

At the Gray Manor, Edward sat on a pearwood sofa in the living room with a stern expression, while Benson sat stiffly on the other sofa. His head was lowered, and his posture was tense as if he had done something wrong.

Liam's gaze on Benson was serious, his brows furrowed.

Janet Campbell, Benson's mother, sat beside Liam, her eyes full of worry. She parted her lips to speak but was stopped by Liam's hand gently pressing down her leg.noveldrama

They exchanged a glance, and Liam shook his head slightly.

At that moment, a tall, commanding figure dressed in a sharply tailored suit stepped into the room. The black umbrella he held shielded him from the dampness outside.

His features were sharp, his expression dark, as if shrouded in an endless shadow. Each step he took was measured and deliberate..

The household staff respectfully took the umbrella from him.

When Edward saw Theo enter, his stern expression softened into a smile. "Dad.”

“Liam, Janet.” Theo greeted them in turn before sitting in a single armchair.

“Theo, you're back,” Liam said warmly, his gaze lingering on him.

Theo gave a slight nod in response.

"Benson, aren't you going to greet your uncle?" Liam's voice carried a note of seriousness and displeasure as he looked at Benson, who had remained silent with his head lowered.

Benson stood and called out respectfully, “Uncle Theo."

Theo only gave a brief acknowledgment, his gaze briefly sweeping over Benson's flushed face. The faint smell of alcohol lingered in the air around him.
