Elara lifted her head and glanced at Lysander. "Were you crying It was hard to imagine Lysander ever shedding a tear.
Lysander looked at her, fighting to control his emotions. "I thought I would never see you again."
Elara couldn't understand what her being in danger meant to Lysander. He had already lost her once, and he even thought he might lose her again. After learning that she was in trouble, he didn't sleep a wink until he finally found her.
Now, as Lysander held her again, it still didn't feel real. Elara looked up at him, her voice so soft it seemed to come from deep in her throat. "I thought I would never see you again either. What's going on? Where's the baby? Where is he? Is he okay?" Though Elara was out of danger, she still didn't know where her child was. Seeing the worry on her face, Lysander held her hand. "The baby is fine."
"Are you sure?" Elara asked. "They kidnapped my baby." The child was the most important thing to her.
Lysander replied, "I will have them bring him over. You'll see him soon." Not long after, Steven arrived with the child. He handed the baby to Lysander, who gently passed him to Elara.
Elara, seeing the child clean and unhurt, let out a sigh of relief. Then, in disbelief, she asked Lysander, "How did he get back?"
would never see him again.
Lysander answered, "The baby came back the same day. Aubrey brought him."
Melody had kidnapped the child for revenge. Elara had been sure she
Elara said, "Then we really owe him thanks."
"Thank him? Stop joking," Steven replied coldly. "This was all his doing. He put his father in the hospital, got rid of his mother, and let them take the baby. I don't know why he changed his mind later.
"Probably got scared and decided to bring the baby back? But if it weren't for him, none of this would have happened."
At that, Steven's anger flared as he turned to Lysander. "You need to stay far away from that whole family. Not one of them can be trusted."
Elara thought about Aubrey. She said, "Normally, he wouldn't do something like this. I thought something felt off when I saw him."
Elara never expected that Aubrey would go after the child and bring him back. Turning to Steven, she asked, "What's going on with Aubrey now?"
"He got a beating from his dad and is locked up," Steven replied. "Wyatt loves him so much. Even though Aubrey drugged him and made him sick, Wyatt still softened. At least Aubrey brought the baby back, and now you're safe" Elara said, "I never thought Aubrey hated the Hawthorne family so much."
"What's so surprising about that?" Steven snapped, his disdain for the Hawthorne family clear. "You should stop associating with people like them.
"One day, they'll turn on you. Elara, just rest now. Melody, the one who kidnapped you and the baby, has been caught. She confessed it was all her doing."
"What about Sully?" Elara asked.
Steven frowned. "You think Sully was involved in this?"

Elara nodded. "Yes. It was all Sully's plan. He couldn't stand seeing Lysander and the Hawthorne family living their lives, so he wanted to punish him. He even tried to have Asher sleep with me to make Lysander think something was going on." Elara didin't hold anything back, saying everything she needed to Lysander's face darkened upon hearing this. Suddenly. Elara asked, "What about Asher?"
"He is in the police station," Lysander replied. "He's the one who called and told them where you were. He's also the one who called and got you to the hospital."
Elara remembered how Asher had tried to strangle her, and she couldn't believe he had softened in the end.
Elara glanced at the child, relieved to see that he was healthier than her. Seeing Elara was at peace, Lysander instructed Steven to take the child away for the moment. Lysander looked at Elara and said, "You've just woken up, you need to rest."
Elara was still uneasy, worried that she might have contracted HIV, so she had the doctor administer post-exposure prophylaxis. Only after all that did she finally lie down.
Barrett came to visit her. He looked much older, likely due to his recent worry over Elara. After chatting with Barrett for a while, Elara sent him back.
Wyatt and Felicity came by to see her. Seeing Elara, Felicity couldn't help but wipe away a tear. "Elara, I'm so sorry. It's all Aubrey's fault. He's been locked up now. Wyatt's already taught him a lesson."
Elara could tell they were both trying to defend Aubrey. She looked at Wyatt. "Mr. Hawthorne, how are you feeling?" Wyatt responded, "I'm fine. There's nothing really wrong. Don't worry. The most important thing is that you're alright. I'm sorry for what happened." Wyatt glanced at Lysander. This whole ordeal had nearly driven Lysander mad. Wyatt had watched Lysander over the past few days, seeing him quickly grow more haggard. He'd been genuinely worried that Lysander wouldn't make it through.
Wyatt understood that feeling well because he had been through it himself. But luckily, Lysander was in a better position than Wyatt had been. Elara had returned.
After visiting with Elara, Wyatt and Felicity left, and Lysander stayed at the hospital to take care of her. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Elara spent the next two days resting. Her body felt a little better, and the wounds on her face healed. She had more energy than before.
During this time, Lysander refused almost all visitors, wanting Elara to focus on her recovery. When she had free time, she would spend it with the child.
Melody had been caught and confessed to everything. No one knew what kind of spell Sully had cast on Melody, but she was determined to take the blame herself, without involving Sully.
Elara gave a statement about the incident. They suspected Sully's involvement, but he was tricky. There was no evidence linking him directly to the crime.
Lately, Sully had been staying out of sight, hiding in the hospital to care for Adam. Even Wyatt treated Adam with a great deal of respect. Probably because of Adam's age, no one dared tell him the truth.
It seemed like Sully knew this, so he stayed in the hospital, taking care of Adam.
Elara was lying in her hospital bed when Crispin came by and vented to Lysander. "That bastard is so shameless, hiding all the time. I really thought he was more capable than this. I don't believe he can hide forever." 2/3
