After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Chapter 576 Departures and Unspoken Words

Michael rolled his eyes internally. If it were not for Smith, he might have followed Chloe to Mamaica himself.

"Are you not worried that Chloe will be swayed by my charm when she arrives in Mamaica and we will end up getting married abroad? After all, we do have a child together." James said, clearly enjoying himself and trying to provoke Michael. Chloe, feeling a bit panicked, quickly pushed James away. "Hurry up and check in. Enough with the nonsense."

James pouted at Michael, both men exchanging defiant looks.

Chloe could not help but feel these two were like a pair of bickering lovers.

It was almost amusing.

Once James had gone, Michael said, "I will keep you updated on Smith's condition."

Chloe nodded. "Thank you."

In truth, Michael did not have to get involved, but he was doing it out of concern.

"Chloe, I am not stopping you from going to Mamaica. I know you have your plans, but I hope you will take some time to think about our relationship once you are there." He looked at Chloe earnestly, hoping she might reconsider giving him another chance.

He thought, "If she went abroad, she would have plenty of time to quietly reflect on our relationship. I did not want to let go."

Chloe, perhaps feeling the departure might be a good time for reflection, did not oppose Michael as she usually would. She simply nodded. "Alright, I will think about it." She thought, "As for whether it would happen or not, that was a question for later.

If I'm in a good mood and have nothing else to do, I will think about it. If I'm busy, I will deal with it when I can."

After talking to Michael, Chloe turned to Quinn and Jessica, reassuring them. "Do not worry, we are always a team. If I decide to stay and work there, I will definitely find a way to get you over." She pinched Jessica's chubby cheeks, trying to lighten the mood. They would not be apart for too long, so there was no need to be overly sentimental.

Everyone was an adult. Despite Quinn's visible pain, he managed to maintain a calm demeanor.

Once James finished checking in, there were about forty minutes until boarding, and they needed to go through security.

"Chloe, let's go!"

James waved at her from a distance. Chloe gave one last look at the three of them before heading toward him.

As Chloe walked further away, Jessica gently patted Quinn's back. "Quinn, do not be sad. It is alright. We can always buy a plane ticket and visit Chloe later."

Jessica knew that Quinn did not seem to have any emotions, he just talked more around Chloe, and in other ways gave the impression of stuttering, speaking word by word.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

In reality, though, he was quite vulnerable.

Being rejected by Chloe would surely hurt his feelings.

"Do not be sad. I know a place with amazing spicy chicken wings. Let me treat you today!" Jessica added cheerfully.

Quinn looked at Jessica and could not help but feel slightly speechless.

He thought, "Did she really see me as a child?"

Meanwhile, Jessica, noticing Michael still standing there, hesitantly asked, "Um... Mr. Shawn, are you not going to try to catch up with Chloe?"

Jessica thought, "It was not clear when Chloe would return, and she was standing next to James. Was Michael so confident that Chloe would not be taken away?"

"Am I really less of a match than James?"

Michael sneered, turning to leave.

"After all, it is going abroad!"

Jessica added, unable to stop herself.

"I have booked a flight for tomorrow," Michael replied, leaving Jessica speechless.
