chapter 8 Mom, I want to marry her
chapter 8 Mom, I want to marry her
Facing the playful and evil gaze of Tim Si, Olivia Xia's eyebrows involuntarily furrowed.
She raised an eyebrow, "I am Olivia Xia, but not your fiancée."
Her words made the atmosphere in the entire room become eerily tense.
Tyrone Xia didn't expect Olivia Xia to speak so carelessly here. He darkened his face, pulled her aside, and whispered a warning, "Olivia, if you dare to speak out of turn again, don't blame me for cutting off your mother's medical expenses."
After that, Tyrone Xia continued with a smile, "Mrs. Si, Young Master of Si, this child has just returned from abroad and is not very articulate. Please excuse her."
Ava Ouyang frowned slightly. Observing Olivia Xia's out-of-place attire, her dissatisfaction grew. However, she still kindly invited them to sit, "Please sit, we can chat slowly."
Tyrone Xia made sure Olivia Xia sat down and then gestured for Mia Zhao and Emma Xia to do the same.
Emma Xia, with a shy face, found her heart fluttering when her eyes landed on the short-haired and extraordinarily handsome Tim Si.
"I heard Olivia studied design in country Y for three years. How did it go?" Ava Ouyang brought up to make conversation, "Tim has a design company under his name. If Olivia is interested, after marrying Tim, she could help manage the company."
Olivia blinked, her voice indifferent, "I don't think that would work."
Her straightforward refusal made the smile on Ava Ouyang's face freeze.
However, Olivia leaned back in her chair, revealing a pure and innocent smile, "I have no interest in managing companies."
Her own company was managed by others; it was too exhausting. Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
Ava Ouyang awkwardly tried to keep up the conversation, "Well, the Si family can support you and the child. If you don't want to work, you can stay at home."
Olivia blinked again, "I haven't agreed to marry..."
"Olivia, this tea is very delicious. You should drink more." Tyrone Xia, fearing what Olivia might say next, hurriedly tried to redirect her attention.
Olivia shrugged, picked up her teacup, and noticed that Tim Si had been watching her with those lewd eyes.
Her expression darkened, and she tightened her grip on the teacup but managed to restrain herself.
Listening to the pleasantries exchanged between Tyrone Xia and Ava Ouyang, Olivia found the conversation boring.
"It seems you have a prejudice against me." Tim Si teased, licking his lips.
Olivia responded simply, "No."
Tim Si made a sound of acknowledgment.
She continued, "More like a complete lack of interest."
Tim chuckled, "Do you know how many people want to marry me?"
Olivia shook her head.
Tim, with a smug face, said, "It's not surprising you don't know. After all, you've just returned to Jianglin City. You're not aware of the current situation here and naturally wouldn't know what my status represents."
"I don't want to know." Olivia retorted.
Tim narrowed his eyes, his tone threatening, "Olivia, don't be ungrateful. The position of the Si family's mistress is not one you can simply refuse."
Olivia raised an eyebrow, "Right. I'm not interested."
"You!" Tim's face darkened, and he stood up, "You're dishonoring yourself. It's an honor for you to be chosen by me."
"You're not that honorable." Olivia responded, pulling out a marriage certificate, "I'm already married."
Her words were like a bolt of lightning, electrifying the entire room.
Both the Si family and the Xia family stared in shock.
Olivia flaunted the marriage certificate, "Do you see it clearly?"
"What is the meaning of this?" Ava Ouyang, unable to maintain her poise, slammed the table and glared at Tyrone Xia.
Tyrone Xia was startled, "Mrs. Si, there's no such thing. She just came back from abroad yesterday. How could she be married? The certificate must be fake."
"Olivia, stop this nonsense. Being chosen by the Young Master of Si is a blessing for you. Hand that over." Tyrone Xia said sternly.
Olivia smiled, "It's real."
Emma Xia interjected, "Sister, even if you don't want to marry the Young Master, you can't play with marriage like this. I know you like Steven, but he's your brother-in-law. It's impossible for you two. Marrying the Young Master, who is so accomplished and handsome, is the dream of many girls. Don't miss out on this blessing. We will all suffer if you upset him."
After a pause, Emma added, "Even if you don't consider us, think about your sick mother in bed. If she knew you were behaving like this, she'd be heartbroken..."
Olivia's response was swift, a slap landing on Emma Xia's face, causing the thick layer of makeup to scatter.
"Who are you cursing to die?" Olivia's face darkened, her piercing gaze making her look as if she was staring at a dead person.
Emma Xia felt a cold shiver, her breath stuck in her throat, too frightened to move.
Olivia pocketed the marriage certificate, giving Tyrone Xia a cold glance, "Don't threaten me using my mother again, or else don't blame me for being ruthless."
With that, she turned gracefully and left the room.
Ava Ouyang, with her face flushed from anger, stared at Olivia's retreating figure, gritting her teeth in fury.
Tim Si, however, licked his lips and chuckled, "I like her spirit."
Ava Ouyang, surprised, asked, "Son, what did you say?"
Tim stood up, adjusting his white suit, "She's more interesting than those women who throw themselves at me. I want to marry her."
Ava Ouyang's face went from red to pale. Seeing her son following Olivia, she directed her anger towards the Xia family, "Mr. Xia, Mrs. Xia, you've heard my son. Regardless of the situation, I want Olivia married to my son within a month. As for her previous marriage, whether it's true or not, I hope you can handle it properly."
"Baby, I'm downstairs."
Exiting the elevator, Olivia made a call to her best friend.
"Alright, I'll drive to the lobby entrance." Harper Murong responded and soon the sound of an engine roared.
"Olivia..."
Just as she stepped out of the restaurant's entrance, Tim Si's voice and hurried footsteps approached from behind.
Without turning around, Olivia quickly boarded the car, slamming the door behind her, "Drive!"
With a revving sound, Harper Murong cheerfully replied, "Let's go!"
The car sped away, leaving a cloud of exhaust.
Tim Si got a face full of exhaust and dust. Instead of being discouraged, he grinned, "She's got spirit. Sooner or later, I'll make her beg in bed."
"Who are you talking about making beg?"
From behind, a lazy yet dangerous voice caused Tim Si to stiffen.
Turning around, he found a tall and imposing man standing beside him.
With sharp eyebrows, elongated eyes, and a high nose, the man's lips curled up into a seductive but dangerous smile.
"Little... Uncle?" Tim Si stuttered in surprise.
