Chapter 6
Chapter 6 Design
Leah plopped down and started flipping through the company's latest designs.
She was totally disappointed with them.
She couldn't believe that those pieces of crap were made by professional designers.
Leah checked the name at the bottom of the design and immediately called the design department. "Get Anna in here."
Soon enough, Anna, dressed in a snazzy red suit, showed up in the office. The strong, overpowering smell of her perfume filled the room instantly. Leah pulled out her design.
"This necklace you made has color issues and it's not really anything special. Are you actually gonna give this to the client?"
"I just did what the client wanted. I don't see any problems," Anna replied casually, fiddling with her freshly done nails.
Leah, expressionless, circled Anna's mistakes on the design with a pencil.
"You messed up the three views of the necklace right from the start, and there are many small details. Look at the diamond in the middle..."
"I think my design is good, Miss Wilson. Even though you're the new boss, the design industry values skill. I've been a designer for years and I only respect those who are competent."
Leah sneered and grabbed a blank sheet of paper from under the desk.
"Alright then, tell me, what are the client's requirements? Where is this necklace going to be used?"
Anna scoffed, "Let's see how competent you really are. The client wants to give this necklace to his first love. It should capture the challenges they faced and the purity of their feelings. He wants us to create a unique and dazzling necklace that represents that."
"Can you even understand them?" Anna smirked.
"Give me 10 minutes. I'll sketch a draft of this necklace." Leah waved her hand.
Ten minutes? Impossible! Even the most seasoned designers in the company wouldn't dare to promise they could design something in such a short time.
Anna was convinced that Leah would make a fool of herself. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
Leah started drawing, unveiling the design step by step.
The details of the necklace and the color scheme were already forming in her mind, and she completed the design in one go.
In less than ten minutes, a rough outline of the necklace was sketched out.
Leah stopped drawing and massaged her sore wrist.
"Done? What now? How do you prove that your design is better than mine and meets the client's needs?" Anna asked, frowning.
Leah placed her and Anna's designs on the desk and then called out to the door.
"Come in."
Over ten experienced designers from the company entered Leah's office.
Leah pointed at the two designs on the desk and said, "These were submitted by two designers who recently applied to the company. I want you to vote for the one you think is better."
The designers thought Leah was testing them, so they took it seriously.
Anna scoffed and didn't take Leah's
3 si seriously. But all ten designers voted for Leah's deelne
à didn't get a single vote?
The designers started praising Leah's design.
"This designer's style is totally Quintina Phillips vibes, you know, the
legendary designer who made
quick splash in the industry three years back."
"Yes! Quintina's."
Hearing this, Anna suddenly remembered Quintina, the talented designer.
Quintina was indeed a legend in the industry.
But it didn't matter. Anna lost to Leah by a score of zero to ten.
"I won. You see?" Leah smiled at Anna.
Anna's face turned dark instantly.
She grabbed her design from the desk and stormed out of the office.
The ten designers realized that the two designs were from Leah and Anna.
One of them asked curiously, "Miss Wilson, your style is so similar to Quintina's. Do you know her? Or did you learn from her?"
