Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1435

Besides, wasn't it an open secret that men loved to watch adult materials in their spare time? So how could he be so tenuous? Hence, it could only mean one thing-She was the world's unluckiest human!

So with time, she'd live her best life, going against the wishes of those who wanted to trample her. Because of that, the Waverly, who preferred the quiet and low-key life, never really materialistic, became the fastidious, ostentatious woman she was today.

Waverly wasn't happy to hear such words from Wyatt again, especially when he kept calling her 'little widow'. Any sane person would think he was despising her, so she said nothing. What was more, she had categorized him as one of the dopey men, so naturally, her displeasure showed through her pursed lips.

And in reality, it was just as she believed. Though it wasn't as severe as 'despising', Wyatt still genuinely minded. Now that they brought it up again, the issue was like a thorn pricking his heart, vividly reminding him that at least two men used to possess the beautiful, captivating woman before him!

What an absolutely sh*tty feeling!

It was already something to be expected, and it wasn't to the extent that there were particularly serious details that he'd especially mind. What was more, he clearly knew it wasn't something that could be changed, and he shouldn't mind either, but he was still indeed bothered, so he naturally let his displeasure show.

Their eyes met, and the atmosphere between them suddenly frosted over.

Just then, a familiar ringtone played. Jolted back to reality, Waverly pressed the answer button while heading aside. "Hello..."

"Hello? Oh, Jake! Yeah, I've reached home..."

The unexpected sound instantly jolted Wyatt back to reality like a bucket of cold water doused onto him. Seeing that Waverly was heading toward the door as she talked on the phone, he strode to her without barely a second thought and grabbed her arm. As their eyes met, he vividly captured the shot of guilt that flashed across her eyes, and he instantly knew he wasn't overthinking!

At that, he reached toward her ear and pulled her so-called answering-a-call-hand out from under her loosely hung hair.

Sure enough, the phone screen was black!

Waverly's face flushed, mortified following her little trick exposed on the spot. "Dagnabbit. She was already so close to the door! Just a few steps more!" she mused.

Wyatt's face had now turned grim as he clutched her hand. "So you've chosen to stall when being aggressive isn't working? You think quick; I'll give you that..."

She had used all her petty tricks on him, hadn't she?

And he actually nearly fell for it!

Was she really that unwilling to be with him?

Struck with the epiphany, Wyatt got all exasperated once more.

With that, he unlocked her phone to find a short line of numbers. These numbers were generally either fraudulent calls or telemarketers like banks, couriers, or insurance of the sorts. Judging by the air time, it was possible that it had been the answering machine, or she didn't have to end the call even if she was faking!

Having been outright exposed, Waverly fiddled her fingertips, growing more and more mortified!

"We haven't seen each other for a long time, but you're not willing to even give me the honor when it's a holiday. You sure are heartless, Waverly!" Wyatt mumbled. But at the same time, he also thought he f*cking asked for it.

Someone wanted to spend Christmas with him, but he instead chose to dash all the way back here and even chucked his pile of mess aside at that, only to end up waiting for her for a few hours!

Wyatt felt truly hurt by how heartless she was acting when he had missed her so badly these days. It had been a long time since this feeling felt so vivid, and unwittingly, he loosened his grip. Nearly instantly, Waverly forcibly reclaimed her phone, but Wyatt reflexively tightened his just loosened hand.

He had no doubt that she would rush back into her palatial villa at the speed of light as soon as he let go of her, and he was even more certain that she would've forgotten him completely if he didn't come to her!

Her every word and action was screaming this reality!

But it was precisely this reality that she so eagerly wanted to escape that got him so exasperated!

He, Wyatt Johnson, was one of the renowned Four Great Masters of Casterwich City at anyhow. He didn't have any heinous habits, nor was he some grotesque troll. So many women racked their brains, trying to get close to him, but who'd believe this woman was trying to get away from him?!

Had she forgotten how she clung to him and begged him back then?

Wyatt growled as the memory came to him, maddened, "Waverly Castle, did your brain get crushed by a car?"

Back then, she came to him to intercede for a sc*mbag, but now she was actually pushing him away?! She seriously was as dumb as a post when she should be smart but acted smart for nothing when she should be dumb!

His head kept telling him to let her go, but for some reason, after loosening his grip a few times, he ended up clenching her arm tightly in the end.

Though the phone call was fake, the man she called out was real, and she even sounded affectionate at that! He didn't forget what he saw earlier that night, nor could he overlook the bouquet of roses and the ugly doll on the ground within his sight!

At that, Waverly raised her foot and kicked him. "Why did you yell at me?"

She couldn't believe he yelled at her after despising her!

F*cking hell!

Waverly couldn't help yelling at that, livid.

"If my brain hadn't been crushed by a car, how would I have agreed to your stupid pact?! Knowing a f*cking b*stard like you was the most regretful thing I've ever done! Did you come all the way here just to yell at me? It's your brain that got crushed by a car, slammed by a door, stamped by a herd!"

At that, she shoved him away.

Wyatt felt absolutely frustrated to see her act like a tiger, one with its claws outstretched at that, when she looked as docile as a kitten. Finally, remembering why he had come, he tightened his grip, tugging on her once more.

"Waverly..."

"Go away! I won't talk to you, nor do I want to see you either!"

Waverly continued to struggle, wanting to go home. However, Wyatt stopped her, not letting go no matter now. The two got vexed after fussing for a while, but neither of them was willing to back down. Seeing that he was left with no other option, he gave her a tug and carried her straight in his arms.

"Ah!"

Startled, Waverly shrieked, "What are you doing? Put me down!"

"Stay still! Or do you actually want another go at it?"

The familiar scene stumped Waverly, and during so, Wyatt had already taken her

to his car and shoved her into the front passenger seat.

Following that, he went around to the driver's seat.

Unable to open her side of the door, Waverly glared at him and yelled, "What are

you doing? Let me out! It's already late!"

He could've just spoken if he had anything to say. What the hell was he trying to do?!

What was happening was already shocking enough, but who'd have thought Wyatt even went as far as fastening her seatbelt?! "Eat! We wouldn't have to go so late if you didn't kick up a fuss!"

His answer shocked her once again, rendering Waverly to think her ears were playing tricks on her. But before she could say anything, Wyatt had already started the car!

In the end, he took her to a restaurant. Midway, he even pulled over to buy a bouquet and a giant plushie. Then, he shoved the plushie to Waverly, nearly drowning her in her seat. Though it didn't weigh much, she could barely move an inch, rendering her at a loss.

She twitched her lips for a long time but still hadn't a clue what was wrong with

him.

By the time she came to herself, the car had stopped right in front of a high-end restaurant. Then, Wyatt opened her side of the door and ordered her.

"Carry them!"

However, she was baffled, unsure of what exactly he meant. Then, seeing that he blocked the door, not letting

her out, it finally hit her that he probably wanted her to bring the

plush with her. But before she could even stand straight, Wyatt shoved the bouquet into her hands,

giving her a hard time to look at

where she was going.

After taking one step, Waverly became pissed, and she chucked the plushie to the

ground. "Wyatt Johnson, I'm not your servant!

Why are you making me carry everything?! And they're both so big! How am I supposed to walk?!"

She was already out, and she wouldn't be able to get a cab home in two shakes either! Was he trying to torture her?

Did he take her a gibbon when he bought such a big bouquet and a giant

plushie?!

Surprisingly, a hint of a smile appeared on the corner of Wyatt's lips as he turned around to see her stomping, throwing a tantrum.

Only she dared to shout at him so unscrupulously with such a tone!

At that, he bent over to pick up the plushie still wrapped in a giant bag. Also, instead of just leading in front, he held her hand this time. As they exchanged a glance, the tense atmosphere between them changed in an instant as well.

"O'mon!"

Wyatt's voice had evidently mellowed a lot. Waverly's tone had returned to normal

as well as she stopped in her tracks, noticing from her peripheral vision that

people were looking at them.

"But I've already eaten!"

Things were okay until she mentioned that, and immediately, Wyatt turned cold again. "Then, watch me eat!"

With that, he dragged her inside, not giving her a chance to say no.

Wyatt had booked a luxurious private room this time. A large,

lavish private room of a Micheline

าวน

star restaurant and a table full of

dishes, but he had the servers leave

only two chairs in, one to put the plushie and bouquet at that. Hence, Waverly sat on his lap from the moment they came in.

That whole time, she buried herself in his arms, not daring even to breathe, and

listened to the server's melodious voice while he ordered the food. Oh, how Waverly wished she could bury herself in the ground right then, cursing Wyatt over and over again.noveldrama

The server was a shrewd one as well, as he hurriedly left and even shut the door

after serving all the dishes.

Genuinely famished, Wyatt first ate a scallop canepe after the dishes were served before sending one to Waverly's mouth.

"It's good. Wanna try?"

Seeing it was just the two of them left, Waverly shook her head as she hurriedly

withdrew her arms. "Let go of me!"
