Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1443

The way the man addressed her pulled Victoria back to her senses. It also calmed her nerves somehow. The man knew who she was. He was coming for her. He wasn't just pulling some random strangers off the street.

She felt more at ease when she knew that they were neither robbing nor kidnapping her.

Her gaze followed the voice and eventually landed on a middle-aged limp. His clothes were ancient and his face was geriatric. The moment she saw the man, Victoria thought he was a man with a story. A man with much experience in life. And perhaps a somewhat pitiful man!

Wasn't that the man who stopped her car?

Victoria's eyes involuntarily fell on the man's legs. She pursed her lips and wondered if he was really limp.

The man noticed the movement of her eyes toward his legs. The corners of his mouth twitched as he said, "I'm sorry for inviting you over in such an odd manner! It's all because you're Trevor Clements' wife!"

She couldn't help but secretly reprimand her husband upon hearing the man's words. "What else has he done this time?" She wondered.

Victoria's life had been full of suffering and troubles from the moment she met Trevor Clements. However, after being through so much, Victoria's mentality had altered enormously.

Life will never go the way you want it to go! However, there was no room for self- pity if you want to live a good life. If bad things happen, just accept them, and go with them. Face them, and try to change them.

Therefore, after a short moment of panic, she began to cool down and started finding a solution to the problem.

"Sir, don't you think it's a little inappropriate to pull a woman into this? And not just any woman, but a woman who had tried to help you earlier? I don't know what you've got to do with my husband, but why don't you go face him, man to man?"

"You must be a d*mn coward, trying to reach Trevor through me."

She wanted to say that last part aloud, but she didn't. The man was a deadbeat. He was either a little slow, or a little crazy!

The man locked glances with Victoria. He narrowed his eyes and snorted, "I've invited you over because there's one thing I'd like you to do. And only you can do it-"

The man threw out a stack of photos. There were photos of Victoria's parents in a house. She knew the house. Her father had invested in the building not too long ago. Her mother liked drinking her afternoon tea there. Sometimes, they would send her some videos too. A few days ago, her mother even planted a flower and caught a fish. They were having a whale of a time!

They even hired a local servant!

Before Victoria could grasp the situation, the man played her a video. In the video, her parents went inside the house with some plastic bags in hand. The old couple held hands and seemed to be having a fun time. Victoria couldn't help but get a little anxious.

"What are you gonna do?"

"Simple, really! Trevor hurt the person I care about most, so he'll feel the same pain! I have something important that I need you to get for me!"

The man raised his hand and threw her a car key.

"There's a black car about fifty meters ahead. I want you to get in the car and accompany that man! Actively accompany him! When you're done, he'll give you a little plate! When you give me that plate, you can leave here and your parents will be safe! Otherwise-"

The man turned on his phone again. This time, Victoria noticed a flashing red dot on the screen-it seemed to be explosives!

Victoria was shocked. She found it hard to process what she saw.

However, the menacing voice sounded once more.

"There are at least four kilograms of explosives around your family's property. Don't underestimate them, though. They may look small, but they're terrifying! When I activate them, a sea of flames will consume everything and nothing but ashes would be left for you! I'm not joking, too. Perhaps I should demonstrate its power! Hmm, what about a garbage heap three miles away? Yes, a garbage heap-"

The man shouted to the phone, "Number 2B!"

Another video appeared on the screen. The sound of fireworks quickly followed. Before she knew it, the garbage heap was already engulfed in layers and layers of flames. Fireworks also shot up to the sky at the same time. Victoria's eyes widened as she understood that the man had planned everything a long, long time ago. The sound of fireworks was definitely less suspicious than the sound of explosives!

Who on Earth was he?

Why was he doing this?

Before Victoria could figure out anything, the restraints on her hands had been loosened, "Of course, you have the freedom of choice. You can leave now and collect your parents' bodies on the way!"

"You have ten seconds to choose," the man pressed a black object in his hands, "Get into the car within three minutes, and finish your job within half an hour, or else-"

Her gaze fell on the car keys on the ground as the man started counting, "Ten, nine, eight..."

He was barely giving her a choice.

Even though she wasn't sure if his explosives were real, she still couldn't gamble on her parents' lives! She had to go! It would only be a temporary solution, a small delay, and it would be dangerous, but it was better than nothing!

Victoria picked up the car keys with almost no hesitation. She turned around and started walking toward the car. At the same time, the man sneered and withdrew himself-

Trevor had a date with Victoria that Christmas, but when he reached the hotel, only an empty room awaited him. Besides that, it was a text from her. A short, short text from her. "S"!

He called her phone, but no one picked up. Looking at the text, he immediately thought of the distress signal "SOS". With the phone in hand, he dashed out of the hotel.

Her phone was on, so he quickly

found her location. Her phone was in

a park under construction. Trevor's

foot smashed the gas pedal and he

rushed to the park a

speed The familiar car immediately came into sight. He got out out and

found that the car was locked. It

was in good shape, but no one was

in there.

He knew that something was wrong. His instincts brought him toward the forest,

"Vicky

He sprinted into the forest and saw a familiar figure running in front. He even

paused for a second.

Vicky? Why was she there in the forest so late at night?

It was her. Trevor stayed silent, but he continued following her.

It was too dark in the forest. He strolled around and found a perfect spot where he could see something at least. There was a car, and in the car was a woman in rags and a man. Occasionally, the woman would let out a familiar groan.

Trevor was about to scream bloody murder when he saw what was happening. He couldn't believe his own eyes.

"Victoria Atlas-"

Trevor roared as he dashed toward the car. He opened the door with his fist clenched. However, the smell of blood instantly intruded his nostrils.noveldrama

He looked up and a peculiar scene was presented to him. Victoria was only wearing her undergarments as she pressed the man down with her body. The man's four limbs were straight but unmoving. The smell of blood filled the car, and Trevor lowered his gaze to see a hairpin punctured into the man's body. His clothes were wet as blood oozed out from the wound. Victoria's hands were on the hairpin, and she looked like a madwoman.

The couple exchanged glances and they both paused. Victoria was the first to

come back to her senses.

"Hubby," she muttered, "Hit me!"

Even though Trevor was still kind of dazzled by the situation, he did as Victoria

asked and screamed.

"Victoria Atlas, you sl*t!"

As he raised his hand, Victoria pulled him into the car, "My parents are in danger. I think there are explosives in their house. Go, save them!"

Victoria then pushed him away and cried, "I can't believe you hit me," she covered her cheek, "If you can't put up with it, then leave me alone! Sir, please don't be mad. He's crazy!"

Trevor was still frozen on the spot. Victoria clenched her teeth and kicked Trevor to the ground. She held the other man in hand and tried to make it seem that he

was moving!

She didn't know if there were any security cameras nearby. Victoria pretended to hug the man as she hid her hands behind the man's back and cleaned the blood from her hands.

Trevor finally came back to his senses and sent a voice message in a group chat. In the blink of an eye, Holger came in with a group of people.

"Master Trevor, there are no security cameras nearby, and no one could be found!"

At the same time, Victoria's parents received a phone call as they walked out of the house. They kept asking what was going on.

Trevor blocked the car door and gestured for Holger to clean up the mess. He subsequently slipped the phone into Victoria's hand.

"Mom, it's nothing, it's just that I've kinda offended someone here, and that guy's saying weird stuff now.

He's pretty drunk, but I'm still worried about you guys. Can you guys just get out and let the police check the house? Just in case-"

When Victoria found out that her parents were safe and that the explosives were

just some random joke, she hung up the phone and turned to Trevor. She seemed

to have just woken up from a nightmare as her whole body trembled. "Hubby, I think I...I killed someone!"

Trevor grabbed Victoria's clothes and put them on for her swiftly. He then took off

his coat and wrapped her in it as well.

"No, no, he's just unconscious! He passed out! You didn't do anything, okay? You

didn't do anything. I'll deal with it! Don't overthink anything, I'll send you home. Come on now!"
