Sasha got into her car and drove to Kaleb’s house. She was five minutes late, but she was too worried to care. She’d almost called Kaleb to tell him that she was going to be present, but it was too late to do that. Her parents had already been invited, thanks to Kaleb and the Luthors were coming too. She knew it’d be rude to back out now, but she couldn’t blame herself because there was nothing to look forward to.
Her dad was disappointed in her, Tilly was mad at her for keeping secrets from her and Kaleb… Well, as for Kaleb, she just wanted to punch him. And if she did punch him tonight, he deserved it, she told herself. It was going to be a very unpleasant evening. She just knew it.
When she arrived, she parked her car and started to walk towards the house. The door opened before she could even knock.
Kaleb stood in front of her with a worried and at the same time, angry look on his face. He wore a pair of black sweatpants and a white polo shirt. Simple outfit, but he still looked handsome…evening with his unshaven beard and messed up hair.
“You’re late” he said, running his eyes all over her.
Sasha rolled her eyes at him, “But I’m here now. Am I not?” she retorted.
“You could have at least returned my call to let me know you were going to be late” he insisted,
“Well, I didn’t plan on being late and I also didn’t want to hear your annoying voice. Will you get out of my way so I can come in?”
Kaleb’s eyes narrowed, and for a second, Sasha wondered if she’d gone too far, but she brushed the thought away immediately. If she was rude to him, it was simply because he’d been rude to her first. She watched as he chuckled softly, then slowly moved backwards so she’d come in. When she did, he didn’t let her go through. Instead he shut the door, immediately trapping her in front of him with both hands on the door on both sides of her head.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
He leaned closer and Sasha shivered as she felt his breath against her neck. “Our parents are in the dining room” he said softly, “I think it will be better for us to try to be civil at least with each other so this evening can come to a quick end. We don’t have to fight tonight. All they need to know is that we’re having a child together and that we will figure things out later. Do you understand me?”
How dare he talk to her like that? She wasn’t his little mouse and he sure as hell couldn’t order her around. She risked looking into eyes, and to her horror, she realized that she liked it. There was something about the way he had her trapped there that reminded her of that night together. His body against hers, his breath against her neck while he thrust hard inside of her. His face was dangerously close to hers and all she had to do was lean over a little and they would be -no… She couldn’t think like that right now. Not with their families present…..
“And I guess trapping and threatening me is the right way to figure things out, huh?” she asked huskily,
His gaze was on her lips, and for a second she really thought he’d kiss her, but then he moved away. “Fair enough,” he said, totally oblivious to the fact that he’d messed up her nerves. “Let’s go”

Kaleb’s parents, Paul and Jenna Luthor, were a nice couple, and it was easy to get carried away by their funny stories and comments.
This wasn’t the first time the Luthors and the Sullivans had gotten together like this, so it wasn’t difficult to get along with each other. But still, this was a special occasion. Sasha’s parents already knew why they had been invited and Sasha noticed that they seemed a bit more comfortable now that they knew who the father of her baby was. They had always loved Kaleb… Her father especially.
Tilly on the other hand seemed to have calmed down and was coming to terms with this. She’d even greeted Sasha with a warm hug when she arrived and when Sasha stared at her in surprise, all she’d seen on Tilly’s face was love, support and understanding. They both smiled at each other and Sasha knew that her friend once again had her back. She fought the urge to let a tear fall. Not tonight… She told herself.
The evening went smoothly. Dinner was delicious and the atmosphere was more bearable, until Paul finally asked his son his reason for the dinner invitation.
Kaleb cleared his throat, and Sasha felt her heart beat faster, “I want to appreciate everyone for coming over tonight,” he began, “Ermmm… The invitation is actually from Sasha and I. We wanted you to know that we’re… We’re having a baby… Together. We will be expecting our baby in about eight months and we’re very happy about it.”
Paul Luthor looked shocked while his wife, Jenna looked more excited than shocked. Sasha’s parents looked relieved while Tilly sat with a slightly amused look on her face.
Jenna Luthor was the first to recover. “Did you hear that, honey?” she said to her husband, while smiling delightedly at Sasha, “We are going to be grandparents”
“Yeah I heard,” Paul said, “Congratulations… That’s very shocking and amazing news, son” he turned to Sasha’s parent’s, “I’m guessing by your reaction that you already know about this?”
Sasha’s father nodded, “Yes, we are, but we were just as surprised as you are now when we found out,”
“But we’re very excited too,” added Penelope
“And so are we,” said Jenna, lifting her glass for a toast, “To becoming grandparents…. And in laws”
Sasha, Kaleb and Tilly watched helplessly as their parents toasted and drank happily. Tilly’s face was almost red with laughter now, and Sasha could barely think straight.
“You’re not becoming… In laws, ” Sasha blurted out and everyone turned to look at her. “We’re not getting married. We are just having a baby together. So yes, you guys are becoming grandparents, but not In laws”
“And why is this so?” asked Paul, addressing his son, “You know how important this is, Kaleb, don’t you?”
“Of course I do, dad” Kaleb replied angrily, “But yes, we are not getting married,”
