Billionaire’s 9
Chapter 9
“Where are you?” I asked when Steven answered my call. I needed him for finalizing a company contract.
I stood up from the swivel chair, waiting for Steven’s response. I heard the familiar voice of a woman laughing on the other end. “Who’s with you? I Inquired.
“Sorry, I was talking to Lili. Why?” Steven replied. My brows furrowed at what I heard.
“You are with Lilian? Are you at the mansion?” I asked, surprised that he didn’t mention visiting her.
Until now, he liked that woman who hurt him. He’s being stupid for doing it.
“Yeah, I visited her to tell her about her father’s case,” he explained.
I stopped in front of the glass window and looked outside. “I want you here. You have something important to do. Be here as soon as possible.” I said, not waiting for his response and ended the call.
“Achi” I called my secretary, who hurriedly entered
“Yes, Siri
“Call my father, and I want to meet with him this afternoon,” I instructed him.
He immediately responded, “Yes, Sir,” and left.
I returned to my seat reading a report from a branch in Canada while waiting for Steven After a few minutes had passed and he still hadn’t arrived, I didn’t notice his text saying he might be delayed. So, I called him again, and he answered.
“Steven, where-
“Davin, this is Lilian, Steven is on his way to your place. He left his phone in the room, Lilian replied, further furrowing my brow.
“Okay,” I said and ended the call.
I looked at the screen on my phone and of what Lilian said. An idea crossed my mind, and my jaw tightened.
Of course, they had sex, and that’s why Steven took so long. Was that the reason Steven still had feelings for that woman, making her his temptation! Did they use protection? I don’t want a child who isn’t mine. Damn it!
I called Lilian’s number, and she answered it.
“Hello!” her voice sounded surprised.
“Did
you two use protection?” I replied. I didn’t care about what they were doing, but I didn’t want a child that wasn’t mine, and I didn’t have time to find another woman to be a surrogate.
“Protection? What d
do you mean?” she asked, feigning innocence.
“Condoms while you and 5 Steven were fucking each other,” I said directly
The line fell silent.
“Did you use protection?” I asked again, my patience wearing thin. W
Why was it taking her so long to respond!
“Are you out of your mind to call and accuse us of such…such..thing” she angrily replied. “You are she hesitated. “You are an asshole!”
I winced at her outburst, and the call ended. Just then, the door opened, and a smiling Steven walked in “What’s o problems”
I stared at Steven sitting in the chair in front of my desk. Did I think wrong?
“Are you okay?” Steven’s concerned words brought me back.
‘s on your face, Vinny? Any
I
was curious if I had been mistaken. “Did you and Lilian have sex? I asked.
Steven looked at mar in surprise. “What the heck, Vinny. Why would you think that he said.
*Lilian told are that you left your phone in her room, and you took so long to get here, so I assumed that you two..” I trailed off and felt Steven
glaring at me.
“Is that what you think of Lilian, that we would do something like that? Don’t tell me you called her-” I nodded.
Steven cursed, saying, “What’s wrong with you, man? Why did you call and tell her about that? She’s upset. Damn it, my phone’s not here.”
“It’s not my fault. Everyone would assume it’s okay, and I’m just worried if you two didn’t use protection. You know, she’s my surrogate,” I explained. I noticed him fidgeting and getting up. “Where are you going?”
“I need to talk to Lili. You hurt her,” Steven replied with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
“Why would it hurt her? If I’m wrong, then I’m wrong. It’s nothing to be bothered about. You can’t leave; you still have something to do,” I replied.
Steven hardened his face, which I hadn’t seen before. “Is she that important to you? Are you a fool for caring about someone who hurt you?” I
retorted
“What do you know about how I feel? Have you ever felt that way to understand?” Steven snapped. “I know Lili, and I can’t forgive you for accusing her of something she didn’t do.”
I scoffed and smiled. That’s up to you, Steven. Are you acting like this because of her? She’s an adult; she shouldn’t be upset since it’s not true. Getting upset over something that shouldn’t bother you, how immature.”
Steven clenched his fists and glared at me. “We’re friends, but I’m resisting the urge to punch you right now, Vinny.”
Then be stored out of the office.
“Steven! Come back here! You still have something important to do, I called after him, but he never returned. Damn him! Just because of that
woman
Islammed my on the table and called, “Achil
The door opened, and he came in. “Yes, Sir.”
“Call another lawyer and have them here as soon as possible,” I ordered, as it seemed Steven had no intention of coming back.
“Right away, Sir,” he said and walked out the door.
I irritatedly retrieved a pack of cigarettes from the desk drawer and headed to the balcony. I lit the cigarette and began to smoke.
“Damn it! I shouldn’t have said that,” I muttered to myself as I continued to smoke. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
I stopped in front of my office. The two morning meetings were over, and Steven still hadn’t answered my all
“Sir, your father is waiting inside,” Achilles informed me.
I simply nodded and entered. The middle–aged man was seated across from my desk. We were both 62 in height, and when he saw me, he stood up, smiling.
“Why did my son want me here? my dad asked as he stood up, “Is there a problem in the company that you need my advice?”
His brown hair had a touch of gray, but his charisma and ruggedness were still apparent.
“It’s about me having gan heir” I replied as I took a seat in the swivel chair.
“I understand. You’ve chosen to have a child rather than getting married,” Dad said with a pleased smile. “Have you found a woman?“ “Yes, Dad. And after nine months, I have a child, and you won’t take this company from me. I said with a serious expression.
“I want to see the child first, and I hope you won’t adopt someone else’s child,”
“I won’t do such a thing. I can prove it with my
by DNA” I assured my father.
My father stared at me for a few seconds and then said, “Who’s that woman? Cassa told me that you’re living with a woman in you
your house.”
-I had told Cassa not to mention woman to Dad. My youngest sibling could never keep a secret.
I’m sure even Isabella has been told by Cassa; I was left dumbfounded and sighed,
“You don’t u
ed to know anymore, Dad, who the girl is. What’s important is I provide you with an heir,” I said,
“Hmmm…” Dad nodded and looked into my eyes. “You have a point, but you need to do it in a natural way
My eyes widened at what he said. “Dad-”
I was about to protest, but he spoke again. That’s what I want. If you have a problem and continue with CISI, then I’ll get back the company and take away your inheritance along with it.”
I clenched my fists and fought the urge not to curse in anger at that moment. I knew Cassa had suggested that to Dad. That woman is really going to pay later.
I forced a weak smile. “If that’s what you want, Dad”
After Dad left, I called Cassa while pacing back and forth. “Cassa, you’re really in trouble with me, I muttered in
ered in anger to myself
But she ended the call. Damn her! I called her again, but she had already blocked my number. She’s infuriating! I threw my phone against the wall and sat down on the swivel chair.
“Achilles 1 called out.
The door swung open immediately, and he glanced at the broken phone. “Seriously? Again? Every time you talk with your Dad, your phone suffer its death.” he said incredulously, raising an eyebrow.
“This is your fault! Find Cassa as soon as possible. Why did you spill everything?” I ordered, massaging my temples. “Ugh! Both of them are making my life difficult!”
“Cassa! Cassa! You’ll pay!
y for this I uttered
I didn’t know how to tell Lilian what my father wanted.
“You didn’t even tell me not to tell your sister, he reasoned, which only irritated me further. Why did I choose him as my secretary? He was always making a reason, acting like the boss even though I was the опе in charge.
“Don’t annoy me, Achi. Just follow my orders and leave my presence,” I snapped
“Yes, sir, he replied, smiling, and even saluted before leaving.
I quickly grabbed a pen and threw it at him, but it hit the closed door. “Don’t forget to buy me a new phone,” I said loudly, making sure he heard. “Aye, aye, Boss!” he responded from outside, which made my eyes narrow,
