Burned Once, Never Again (Niamh and Castiel)

Chapter 7

Niamh stood in the grand villa and closed her eyes. Her thoughts were heavy with the knowledge of her impending situation. Her phone buzzed with Billie's name, and she answered, "Billie." "How's it going? Did that bastard sign the agreement?" Billie asked bluntly.

Back when Niamh was about to marry Castiel, Billie had warned her that the Jamison family was one of the most powerful in Greenburg.

Castiel was out of her league, and if things ever went south, she'd be the one to suffer.

And what had she said to Billie back then? "We've been together for seven years-if anything going to go wrong, it would've happened long before marriage."

In hindsight, that response felt painfully ironic.

Niamh took a deep breath. "No."

"What? How dare he? He cheated on you!"

In her anger, Billie suddenly remembered the scene she had witnessed earlier.

was

"Oh right, Niamh, what's going on between Macy and Sienna? I was on my way to meet a client, and guess what I saw? The two of them walking arm in arm, looking all close and friendly!" Sienna Jamison? Castiel's sister?

Niamh sneered.

Sienna, who was adopted by the Jamisons, had always been hostile toward Niamh, along with her mother-in-law, Renee Clark.

Now it seemed they were allied with Macy against her. It looked like the Jamison family was determined to kick her out.

"Billie, do you know of any handwriting analysis agencies?"

"Why do you need that?"

"I have my reasons."

It was urgently needed. Niamh couldn't afford to fall into the same trap twice. If she couldn't change the events, then she had to be fully prepared for what was to come.

"I do, I'll send you the info right away."

"Great," Niamh said with a small smile.

That afternoon, she took the divorce agreement to a handwriting analysis center.

The next day, she stayed home all day. When Macy was kidnapped, she needed an alibi to prove she hadn't stepped out of the house.

Niamh had even called in Tilda Floyd, the housekeeper who had always been kind to her. It just so happened that the villa was scheduled to have its plants and flower arrangements replaced. Chapter 7

Thus, she spent the entire morning helping Tilda organize the house..

When the landline rang, Niamh said, "Tilda, can you get that?"

Yes."

Tilda picked up the phone. Whatever the person on the other end said made her glance at Niamh. Then, she calmly replied, "Mrs. Jamison has been home all day." "Yes, she hasn't stepped out all day."

With a snip, the scissors sliced through the stem of a rose. Niamh looked down, and her gaze turned gloomy.

Macy had been kidnapped.

She calmly continued arranging the flowers, her movements unhurried. Tilda hung up the phone. and walked back over.

Niamh casually asked, "Who was it?"

Tilda replied, "It was Mr. Jamison."

Of course it was. The first thing Castiel did when Macy was kidnapped was to suspect her.

Seriously, what had she gained from the past ten years?

Even with a second chance at life, Niamh couldn't help but feel bitterness in her heart.

"What did he ask?"

"He wanted to know when you came home and if you'd been out again."Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

Niamh nodded. She was about to face a war.

Setting the scissors down, her tone lightened up as she said, "Tell the kitchen I'd like some barbecue for lunch."

She was going to celebrate. Despite the dirty accusations that would soon be hurled at her, she needed to eat well to face the challenges ahead.
