Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1142

"Oh," Rosalie responded coldly.

Whether or not Theodore had been in contact with Cynthia was something she didn't care about.

When Aurora saw this, her hands that were resting on her lap clenched into fists.

Theodore was clearly sidelining her now, but no matter how angry or upset she felt, she dared not show it on her face.

Rebecca remained unconscious, with no sign of when she might wake up.

Rosalie was utterly exhausted. Since Steve was still at home, Theodore arranged for a driver to take her back.

Rosalie had initially wanted to stay and keep Rebecca company, but after thinking it through, she decided to leave. Rebecca was in a coma, and her staying there wouldn't change anything. If Rosalie fell sick, who would care for Steve?

After sending Rosalie off, Theodore encountered Cynthia again in the hospital.

When she saw Theodore, Cynthia approached him directly. "Theo."Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

"Cindy, how's your father doing?" Theodore asked politely.

"My father hasn't been well recently. He's still undergoing tests, and I'm waiting for him now. Where's Rosalie?"

"She went home. She was up half the night and was too tired. Besides, she has a child to care for."

The mention of "child" made Cynthia freeze. "What child?"

Theodore forced a bitter smile. "Her child with Sebastian."

"Oh, I see." Cynthia had been stunned for a moment, thinking it might be Theodore and Rosalie's child.

"Theo, how are you doing these days? I remember the last time I saw you here, you were with another lady."

Lately, Cynthia had been too busy building her career to dwell on her feelings for Theodore. Although she hadn't fully let go of him, the demands of her work left little time for anything else.

"Cindy, I'm truly sorry for the way things turned out between us. I failed you But seeing you doing so well now makes me happy," Theodore said, steering the conversation away. His emotions were too tangled for him to sort out.

Cynthia gave an awkward smile. "It's all in the past. Although I was angry back then, after some time, I learned to let go. You don't have to feel guilty."

What else could Cynthia say? Even if she were still furious or hadn't truly moved on, she had to put on a front in Theodore's presence.

"Well then, I'll leave you to it. I won't disturb you any further."

"Theo." Cynthia stopped him.

He turned back. "Is there something else?"

Cynthia hesitated before saying, "If you ever need me, you can always reach out. I'm still single."

It was a blatant invitation.

"Cindy, whether you're single or with someone, it doesn't matter to me. You should focus on living your own life. It's better if we don't meet anymore." Theodore turned and walked away.

Cynthia wanted to say more, but seeing him leave without hesitation, she bit her lip in frustration. He must be involved with Aurora.

Cynthia was deeply annoyed.

Yerick had informed her that

Theodore was at this hospital, which

was why she had come, hoping to

see him. To justify her visit, she had brought her father here for a

check-up.

Now, with the family company under her control and her relatives firmly within her grasp, she felt a sense of power.

On the surface, it appeared that Cynthia was in charge, but in reality, Yerick was the one pulling the strings. He was expanding the company significantly.

Cynthia exited the hospital and

walked to a quiet spot. She pulled a cigarette from her bag, intending to light it. Suddenly, she heard voices coming from a nearby corner.

"Angie, are you sure no one saw what happened last night?"

"Don't worry, I'm sure. When that old lady fell down the stairs, there was no one else around-just the two of us. Theodore and the others only came when you screamed."
