Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 1063

Chapter 1063:

Ailyn’s fingers tightened into fists, but she forced herself to remain calm. “You mean Miss Johns? After her visit, I arranged for someone to take her back. If you go back, Mr. Klein, you might see her at the hotel.”

The Vettel family’s power was immense, but they knew better than to expose their illegal activities in front of the police.

It had been mere minutes since the alarm in the detention room had gone off. Her bodyguards were supposed to have captured Madisyn by now. If Andrew couldn’t find Madisyn here, he would likely return to the hotel…

Ailyn straightened her shoulders, her mind racing. If one plan didn’t work, another would. She knew she could handle this. Once the police left, she was confident Andrew wouldn’t escape a second time.

With Andrew dead, Ailyn assumed there would be no one left to uncover the truth behind Madisyn’s disappearance. It would be easy to cover it up—she could use a stand-in and make the whole thing disappear.

But just as she finished speaking, a soft, melodious voice echoed from above the wall.

“Miss Vettel, what are you talking about? I don’t recall you ever arranging for me to return to the hotel.” The voice was undeniably beautiful, but to Ailyn, it sounded like a nightmare coming to life.

Ailyn’s eyes darted toward the sound, her gaze settling on Madisyn standing atop the wall. Beside her stood a man she didn’t recognize, but the woman with him… Ailyn’s stomach twisted. It was Albertine, that incompetent fool.

Rage flared inside Ailyn. She clenched her fists, her tone shifting to one of feigned urgency as she addressed Madisyn, trying to mask her growing panic. “Miss Johns, what are you doing here? Climbing over the wall like that is reckless. I arranged for a driver to take you this afternoon. Why didn’t you leave, and why are you with Albertine?”

A sly glint appeared in Madisyn’s eyes as she studied Ailyn, impressed. No wonder Ailyn was the heiress. Look at how easily the lies rolled off her tongue. Was Ailyn so sure that when she abducted her, everyone outside the operating room was loyal to her?noveldrama

Ailyn’s words were crafted to shift the blame, casting Albertine as the reason for Madisyn’s presence at the estate.

The officer, somewhat swayed by Ailyn’s insinuations, took a step back. Perhaps this was just a misunderstanding. After all, the Vettel family was one of the most influential in the area. They weren’t the kind of family you crossed without consequences. The officer was already leaning toward letting it go.

“Maybe there’s been some confusion here,” he said, glancing around at the people involved.

By now, Andrew had reached the base of the wall, catching Madisyn as she jumped down. He steadied her with one hand, ensuring she wasn’t hurt, then turned back toward Ailyn, his voice cold and direct. “So, explain to me why those people in the police car were blocking my way.”
