Enough For Him

He released my chin, he smiled or rather smirked before turning and heading into the other room where i could hear the giggles made by jayson.

“thats not what i had in mind” i muttered quietly.

“one more please, this is too cute. I’m going to post this and watch everyone comment at how cute my little nephew is” I rolled my eyes at my brother’s antics as he took photos of Jayson.

I will not deny the fact that my son looks extra adorable today. I dressed him in a Nike onesie and pair of the tiniest Adidas trainers that Leon bought him last week.

I practically had to drag Jayson away from his uncle. Does he have no shame when he’s getting likes just by posting my son.

I grabbed my suitcase and wheeled it outside to the car. George was driving me to the airport where we would meet Leon. I barely had any sleep last night since I was nervous about this trip.

We were deciding on where we would go the other night and after not being able to agree on a place Leon decided to write a bunch of placed down on pieces of paper and et Jayson pick out where we would go.

I didn’t tell him, but I wish I thought of that idea because it was actually brilliant.

“Don’t you think you’re letting him off easy “George says as he drives towards Heathrow. He turned down the music. He rested his hand over mine “I’m just saying, what’s to say he won’t do it again” my fears exactly.

Emily might be telling me the truth, but do I really want to stay with a man who will look for other women without having the decency to end one relationship first.

“I don’t know, all I know is that I want him to spend as much time with Jayson as he can. Jayson might grow up to hate me for not letting him see his father” I can just imagine it now. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jayson left me to live with his dad.

Leon will always be the more successful and richer one of us, what boy wouldn’t want that life where his dad can buy him the car he wants, get the job he wants and have endless amounts of cash in the bank.

“He would never hate you; he would understand that you couldn’t be with a man that didn’t love her unconditionally” I knew he was right, but I still struggle with dealing with the potential.

I glance at Jayson sat in the back playing with his toy penguin.

“I’ll do anything for him, George,” I say smiling as Jayson noticed me staring.

It will either get me heart broken again or it will be the best decision I ever make.

We arrived at the airport. After saying goodbye to George who got one last photo of Jayson, I grabbed Jayson’s hand and headed over to Starbucks where we had agreed to meet. Looking around I spotted him instantly.

With his phone against his ear, he brought the cup to his lips sipping from his coffee. Jayson was the one pulling me towards Leon who quickly ended his call and sliding the phone into his back pocket.

Leon lifted Leon into the air and placed him on his hip. “you ready for an adventure buddy” Jay nodded his head his smile contagious. I felt people staring, smiling even at the two.

I reached in my bag to grab my wallet so I could get a coffee since I didn’t have time for breakfast at home. I only had time to get Jayson in for a quick feed before we left.

I’m not about to feed Jayson out in public. The women that do that are my heroes, but I just can’t see me doing that.

“Soya milk Caffe latte for Lizzy” I looked at the barista, he held out a medium sized mug to me.

I stepped towards him. “thank you” I said taking it from him. I brought it over to the table with Leon. I could feel his gaze on me.

“you didn’t have to do that but thank you,” I said starting to add sugar into it.

“saves time, we need to get to the gates in about 15 minutes,” he says checking his watch for the time. I noticed his apple watch on his wrist.

I just nodded taking the first sip of my coffee. I hummed in admiration for the drink. I haven’t had to deal with Leon this early in the morning in a long time, so this was definitely needed.

On one side I was really fucking nervous about this trip but on the other hand, I was also really excited. I have always wanted to visit Bali and watching the Kardashian go has only made me want to go even more. I spent the whole day yesterday searching for things on Pinterest.

We would be flying to Doha first and staying for a few hours before flying straight to Bali. It was going to be a long fight and a part of me was worried at how jay was going to handle it but on a trip he’s generally very calm and tends to sleep mostly.

But since Leon is here, he might want to stay awake. I’ve only just noticed it but sometimes when jay closes his eyes, he looks around frantically and immediately calms down once seeing Leon.

I just know that their bond is just going to continue to grow so beautifully I’m just happy that I can watch it first-hand.

“shall we go,” I said standing up from my chair. “can you hold onto jay,” he asks me standing up as well. I was about to say something but when he grabbed my suitcase I understood.

I didn’t want to start any arguments not today.

We went towards the check-in together.

After we had checked in, we were led inside towards the security checks. My hands were full of Jayson I panicked when asked for my passport.

“where is it?” Leon asks me. I look down to the belt bag around my waist. He let go of his bag and moved towards me. to anyone else, it would just look normal but for me, I was having a panic attack. I felt him apply pressure onto my stomach and unzip the bag pulling out my passport.

He handed over to the guy who checked it and let us through.

I walked ahead of Leon heading inside duty-free where we would wait to be called.

Why didn’t I just put Jayson down and get it myself? Why am I making this difficult for myself?

Leon POV

I watched her walk ahead with Jayson in her arms. Liz looked beautiful and classy just like always. A part of me wants to fly business class or even privately just so men won’t check her out. I’ve already seen countless wondering eyes.

Jayson turned in his mother’s arms. He faced me and shouted my name when he saw that I wasn’t following.

Don’t worry jay I’m coming. I kind of feel like Jayson is on my side trying everything in his power to fix his family.

He mists have noticed how he doesn’t live with both of us anymore. Doesn’t see his dad kissing his mom, hugging her or making her laugh.

He shouldn’t have to see that he shouldn’t have to be the one fixing it.

We got settled not our seats. Liz worked her magic and cheered up Jayson who was showing that he was nervous and slightly scared.

Minutes go by of people getting into their seats. The cabin crew did their work ensuring everyone was happy, and that they knew of all the guidelines. Ones that I’ve heard many times since I fly a tonne.

Seeing Liz with Jayson was bringing me back to my first ever flight which was actually with her.
