Falling For My Mysterious Wife

Falling For My Mysterious Wife By Cassidy Alfaro Chapter 232

Chapter 232

Seeing how Elaina was being tough on the designers, the staff members who were in the conference room had mixed feelings.

Some felt happy, thinking that, with a boss this tough, the company would for sure become better. But some were worried about kicking the designers out, wondering if there would be any consequences for offending those people.

But Elaina remained silent since she knew that it was useless to say anything now and that only by making achievements would everyone be convinced.

After the meeting, Elaina handed the plan that she had prepared before to Paula Austen, the receptionist. “From today on, you are my assistant.”

“Me? Ms. Gainsford, I…” Paula, pleasantly surprised, found the whole thing unbelievable.

“You don’t think you are competent enough?” Elaina looked at Paula. “If that’s the case, then I’ll take back what I’ve just said.”

Elaina wanted to give Paula a chance, but the premise was that Paula wanted it.

Paula, stunned, hurried to answer, “I think I can do that!

“Thank you, Ms. Gainsford, for giving me the chance. I will work hard and try my best not to disappoint you.”

Elaina revealed a satisfied smile. “Now get back to work.”

Paula nodded and turned. But just as she reached the door, Paula stopped and looked at Elaina. “Ms. Gainsford, my name is Paula Austen. Thank you again for giving me that opportunity.”

“All right. Paula Austen.”

With that, Paula left, leaving Elaina sitting alone in the conference room.

The plan that she had just given Paula clarified everything that needed to be done recently, including changing the company’s name and so on. Elaina believed that after all this stuff was done, the company should become a brand new one.

However, that was not enough.

To make a clothing design company live, first and foremost, she had to design clothes that satisfied the consumers and made them willing to pay for them. This was a top priority for her now.

At the thought of this, Elaina took out her phone and dialed a number. “Adriana, I need your help.

Please come to New York.”

After a long day, Elaina finally got to return home. But when she arrived at her apartment, she found that Jalen wasn’t waiting for her there today, which made her feel an indescribable sense of

loss.

But soon, Elaina got rid of the sense of loss, thinking, this is what I want. Why should I feel like this? C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

Entering the room, she took a shower and went to bed.

Meanwhile, Jalen’s car was parked downstairs outside Elaina’s apartment. Jalen had been there for quite a while, seeing the lights in Elaina’s room turned on and then off. And it seemed that he had

no intention of leaving whatsoever.

Then he lit a cigarette, despite not being a smoker at all. The strong smell of the cigarette made him

cough violently, but even so, he kept smoking it.

“Quincy, do you know what you have done to me?” Jalen muttered to himself, vexed with how to

make Elaina forgive him.

Meanwhile, in the bar, Sue was drinking heavily since she failed to ask Theodore out tonight.

As a member of the Krause family, she always knew that her family was not just a random one,

despite not knowing what was specifically special about it. But that changed after she met

Theodore.

Despite being a member of the Krause family, Sue was not a heinous person. And she found all

those rumors about Quincy dreadful, she did not have the guts to ask Quincy about them though.

That kept haunting her and made her at a loss about what to do.

Meanwhile, not far from her in the bar, Alisha, after putting down the glass, from which she had

just finished her drink, walked in the direction of Sue.

Ignoring Alisha, Sue continued to get drunk.

“Do you know who Theodore likes?” Alisha’s melodious voice sounded. And Theodore’s name attracted Sue’s attention right away. Meanwhile, Sue found the question shocking,

wondering, who does Theodore like?
