Chapter 555
"More importantly, we need to bring back Jules, and behind him, Séraphine," the Director continued.
"Yes."
Selene responded absentmindedly, her mind more focused on the upcoming annual gala at Club 257.
Due to timing, they returned to Austenberg just in time for the Club 257 gala before heading to the University of Maple Grove.
The news that the medical organization was coming to the University of Maple Grove spread like wildfire, and soon every student on campus knew about it.
Naturally, the med students were the most excited.
This was *the* medical organization- the dream destination for every aspiring doctor.
Just seeing someone from the organization would be a once-in-a-lifetime honor!
Even Eilies and Cynthia were bursting with anticipation.
"If I could join the medical organization, that would be like hitting the jackpot-no, it would be like winning the lottery! Luck doesn't even cover it," Eilies said, clicking her tongue wistfully, though her eyes shone with hope.
"Joining the medical organization is a pipe dream for me; at least I'm realistic," Eilies added, her voice tinged with longing.
"The medical organization isn't as great as you think," Flora said coolly, giving them a sidelong glance. "You're better off focusing on your studies here at the University of Maple Grove than chasing some so- called prestigious organization."
Eilies and Cynthia exchanged puzzled looks. It was rare to hear Flora curse; did she have a personal grudge against the medical organization?
That seemed unlikely.
Confused, they watched as Flora slung her backpack over her shoulder and headed for the medical lab.
After a few days, the seniors and her peers had grown quite fond of Flora.
They discovered that Flora knew a lot-far more than they had expected.
More importantly, Flora wasn't arrogant; she was approachable and easy to get along with.
At first, they thought she was reserved, but as they got to know her, they found her to be genuinely kind.
"Flora, Flora, please, could you spare a moment to look over this for me? Dr. Ray is going to review it soon, and if it's not up to par, he'll have my head!" Darcy begged, holding out her thesis with clasped hands.
With Flora around, Dr. Ray's standards had skyrocketed.
His expectations for everyone else's work were through the roof.
Everyone's papers had to be vetted by Flora first; she pointed out issues for them to revise before they dared to submit them to Dr. Ray, ensuring they passed.
Alexa, however, refused to ask Flora for help, and as a result, she was berated almost daily.

"What is this supposed to be?" Dr. Ray growled, his expression growing more twisted with each page he read of Alexa's report. Eventually, he threw the report onto the desk in frustration.
"Have you been taking this seriously at all? You've been in the lab for over a month now, and not only have you not made any progress, but you've also actually regressed!"
Alexa lowered her head, her body trembling.
It wasn't that she had regressed...
It was that everyone else had improved with Flora's help, while she was stuck.
"I'll give you one more chance. Either shape up or ship out!"
Alexa took her report and left the office without a word, returning to her desk.
Everyone else was busy with their tasks, paying her no mind.
Alexa felt even more aggrieved.
She was scolded, yet no one cared about her.
But whenever Flora appeared, she was surrounded by admiration and support.
That Flora wasn't so great, watching her get scolded without offering any advice. If only she had offered a bit of guidance, Alexa wouldn't be in this position constantly. "Everyone, come with me; there's an important surgery we need to attend to," Dr. Ray suddenly announced, his tone urgent.
