He Transfused All My Blood to His Beloved Novel by Wenxia

Chapter 9

When I woke up, I found myself back in a hospital bed.

Instinctively, I reached for my belly, but I couldn’t feel any movement. My heart sank.

The nurse noticed I was awake and looked at me with pity.

“It was a fully formed male fetus. I’m so sorry, but you’ll have another chance“”

I nodded, tears flowing uncontrollably.

Maybe I wasn’t meant to be a mother. Two beautiful children had now left me, one after the other.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Jackson entered the room, filled with regret. He knelt before me, his face drenched in tears.

I turned away, refusing to look at him.

“You killed both of your children with your own hands. What else could you possibly have to say?”

“You know I still love you. I was just blinded for a moment, but I swear I’ll change. We can go back to the way things were, can’t we?”

“What’s the point of saying this now? Can you bring them back to life?”

“I’m heartbroken too. Please forgive me one more time. Let’s return to how we were, okay?”

He grabbed my hand, but I pulled it away sharply.

“Divorce me.”

Jackson panicked, collapsing at the side of my bed, crying desperately.

“No, I won’t divorce you. Give me one more chance..”

I stayed silent as my sister had security escort him out.

She later told me she had uncovered Elaine’s connection to the director of Love Hospital -her uncle–and how the three of them were entangled in countless financial deals.

With her family’s influence, my sister ensured the director was suspended pending an investigation. Elaine, meanwhile, became the subject of public scrutiny and faced huge breach–of–contract fines.

Not only did she have to pay those fines, but she was also forced to return all her donations. She was now in financial straits, and Jackson, eager to win me over, dared not help her.

I hired a skilled lawyer and seized the opportunity to make Jackson sign a postnuptial agreement. Should he cheat again, he would have to leave the marriage with nothing.

Jackson agreed without hesitation, signing his name without a second thought. To prove his sincerity, he even had the agreement notarized.

He then deleted all of Elaine’s contact information in front of me. Elaine, desperate and out of options, found a way to reach me.

“Do you have to push me to the edge? What do you want from me for this to end?”

In the café, Elaine’s previous fragile demeanor had vanished, replaced with impatience.

I took off my sunglasses, looking down on her.

“Only your life, in exchange for my two children’s”

I spoke slowly, staring her down.

“Stop being unreasonable! No wonder Jackson doesn’t want you.”

“Jackson has only ever loved me. Now that your children are gone, why not let us be? Holding on to a husband who doesn’t love you–what’s the point?”

She smirked, thinking she had struck a nerve.

“I know he deleted your contact details. These days must be hard for you, right? And how’s your uncle? Doing well, I assume?”

Elaine’s expression faltered, her eyes darting down.

“Shall we guess?” I leaned in close, my voice soft. “Do you think Jackson will choose the helpless flower who can’t fend for herself, or the sharp, ambitious woman who can actually help him succeed?”

I patted her shoulder, smiling as I walked away.

If Elaine managed to take Jackson from me, she’d be doing me a favor.
