“Looks like you had a good talk,” Giselle said with sparkling eyes looking at the plate Harvey handed her. The chocolate muffins made by Ford’s hotel pastry were the best. Maybe it was because she had no comparison since she rarely touched this uniquely shaped and tantalizing cake.
“You’re like looking at a treasure, Giselle.” Harvey chuckled. He took a seat next to Giselle and leaned back comfortably. The shady shadows from the trees around them did indeed make the bad mood disappear and be replaced with a better one.
“The muffins here are the best.” Giselle didn’t care about being called childish over a chocolate cake, but she knew that eating sweets like this could put her in a much better mood. Charlotte’s arrival and chatter dropped her mood on the minus scale.
“I don’t think I’m the only one having a good conversation here.” Harvey reached for his soda can. “Gosh, it’s like I’m getting a lot of eyes on me forbidding me to drink soda.”
“That’s obvious,” Giselle immediately grabbed the can in Harvey’s hand. “You’ve had a few drinks, right? You won’t be able to help yourself tonight.”
Harvey scowled but couldn’t protest beyond folding his arms across his chest. “You’re annoying.”
“Is it more annoying to get the news that you want to cheat on me?” Giselle chewed without hesitation the muffin in her mouth. Feeling the softness of the cake that greeted her senses. Not to mention the sweetness of the chocolate that was the main ingredient. And what made her blink repeatedly; this muffin was sprinkled with delicious little choco chips.
Oh my! Giselle wanted to eat them all. It just so happened that Harvey had brought three muffin cups. It’s enough to energize her to get back to her activities before lunch. Coincidentally, the event after the coffee break was quite exciting and certainly energizing. The issue of social life has been discussed together complete with questionnaires that will be thrown to other teams.
For Giselle, who is not too smart but has a heart for social issues, at least this session can make her more open-minded and what she will do with everything she has now. Including her popularity. But it must also be accompanied by experts so that she does not take the wrong step.
After the discussion, lunch followed, and then the contestants were asked to practice walking on the edge of the pool in bikinis. This event is one of the assessments regarding body proportions and ideal weight to become a model. And at the end of the event, there was a photo shoot that would be attended by the sponsors. Since Giselle didn’t really care who the sponsor was, she was very relaxed.
“Charlotte said it?” Harvey giggled in amusement. “She really can’t move on from the past.”Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
“What did you do to him that he would do something like that?” asked Giselle curiously. Maybe there really was something going on between the two of them. Because Giselle thought Charlotte was the only person who always made Harvey the target of her anger.
“Um… should I tell you a story?”
Giselle spluttered but couldn’t ignore that here, their time was too short. That’s why she refrained from urging Harvey to talk. “You’re on your own? Your conversation looks fun.” The last piece of the muffin soon disappeared inside Giselle’s mouth. Which was met with a surprised look but soon, Harvey’s laughter appeared there.
“You really are a chocolate fanatic, huh.”
“Chocolate is a cure for stress just so you know.”
Harvey chose to shake his head in amazement. “My conversation is not far from me being mistaken for your servant.”
“You’re crazy!”
“I didn’t say that, you idiot!” Harvey felt like silencing Giselle’s loud mouth. Several pairs of eyes were immediately drawn to them as if they were fighting. Again. There was even a time when they were arguing about something unimportant, Daisy broke it up because there were reports that they had a big fight. But in fact? Not at all. They were just arguing, which in other people’s eyes, might mean that they couldn’t control their emotions.
Although Giselle admits, Harvey is the best at making her feel other than rivaled, annoyed to death, but knows best how to vent what is in the heart.
“I mean, the person who said that is crazy.” Giselle grinned guilelessly. “Anyway, where did you come from that you’re my assistant. Gosh, if I had an assistant like you, I’d have a heart attack almost every day.”
“You think I’m having fun with you, huh?” Harvey scowled in annoyance. “I think Kristen wants the same kind of fame as you.”
“Doesn’t he often get high popularity? Because of our bet, I got to investigate the two people we bet on in front of the stage.” Giselle straightened her back. “Many well-known brands work with Kristen and their contracts always end up with good sales. Even a local cosmetics brand that is known for being eco-friendly and pocket-friendly has extended their contract with her, right?”
Harvey nodded immediately. “But there is one prestige that cannot be obtained unless it is on you.”
Giselle’s brow furrowed considerably. “What is it?”
“The main model is SEO and that’s hard to come by. Many want to get the main stage at the shows that SEO organizes. Especially when you show up. SEO’s name really counts in the fashion world as well as modeling agencies.”
Giselle nodded slowly as if she understood. “Even though I don’t have any experience with the world I’m in now.” She looked down slowly. “Brina and Nico never failed to teach me many ways to make my confidence grow. How to walk on stage without the fear of suddenly slipping on the wrong step.”
“But your hard work is visible to the world, right?”
Giselle chuckled. “That’s so.” Then her eyes immediately looked at Harvey who seemed to be smiling faintly as if that smile represented the unrest in the heart of the girl who was unknowingly, close to Giselle, on par with Brina. Normally, it was very difficult for Giselle to be approached or get close to others.
Apart from the fact that her trust in others was very thin, she was also afraid that someone would take advantage of her knowledge about Giselle’s past and blackmail her. Jilly Adams is a case in point.
“That means the contestants here have a pretty high interest in SEO, right?”
Without hesitation, Harvey nodded.
“In that case, why don’t you take my offer?”
Harvey chuckled. He glanced at the clock wrapped around his hand. “Come on, the rest of our schedule is waiting. I think the contestants have gathered in that room. Get ready, fake smiles and foul language.”
Inevitably, Giselle laughed. Imitating Harvey’s steps that preceded her. For once, Giselle again refrains from urging Harvey to speak. She had to pick up her concentration in order to get through the session that was about to begin.
“You owe me a lot of explanations, Harvey.” Again and again, Giselle embraced and dropped some of her body weight on Harvey. making the girl glare fiercely but unable to get angry easily because their steps had already arrived at the place where their activities were taking place. They might become the center of attention again.
Even those who are close already make many eyes look at them sarcastically, let alone make a scene. I wonder what kind of gossip they will receive.
“If you don’t pay off that debt by tonight, I’ll confiscate your soda. It just so happens that Brina relaxed the food rules for tonight because I was being obedient. So… I was sent a hot chocolate and for you of course, a soda.”
Harvey gaped in disbelief at her words. “Are you serious?”
“when did I lie?”
Harvey’s grin grew wider. “In that case, be prepared to hear me ramble on and on.”
