I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 105

Embarrassment

Benjamin and Harper maintained a half-hug posture, so they could see the look in each other's eyes.

Benjamin squinted and looked at her, a little angry but also amused. A smile appeared on his gloomy, handsome face. "So you think I'm deliberately covering for her?" "Benjamin, I can't think of any other possibility besides this. After all, Lauren is the most important to you."

Benjamin sneered and stared at Harper calmly. His handsome face was expressionless, and he had a stern look in his eyes. He released her jaw and let go of her.

The two of them kept a fist distance apart. He said in a low voice, "Harper, to find trouble with me, you've tried every means to accuse me. Good for you."Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Then, he went downstairs with strides.

Harper stood still, his words still lingering in her ears.

She thought, "What does he mean?

Did I say anything wrong?"

Harper pressed her lips slightly and then changed clothes.

When she came downstairs, Benjamin was already sitting in the car. She opened the passenger door and got in. They never talked until they arrived at the Martin Manor.

On the way there, Benjamin called his parents and said he and Harper would come back for dinner. Paul was in a good mood and shared the good news with Gordon. "Benjamin might have become enlightened. Harper deserves all the credit."

Gordon smiled, "You dote on Harper too much. Benjamin will be jealous if he knows."

"He wouldn't dare," Paul said, "If we don't treat Harper well, who else can be nice to her?"

Paul felt sorry for Harper. In particular, Harper's parents didn't do their parental duties, which made him even more determined to be doubly nice to Harper.

Dinner officially started at half past seven. The family sat at the dining table and ate. Paul looked at Benjamin and Harper, his smile never fading.

Scott coughed slightly to remind him, but Paul said dissatisfiedly, "What are you doing? If you have a cold, take medicine. Don't keep coughing to imply anything. Harper and Benjamin are a couple. Can't I watch them?"

Scott shook his head helplessly and said nothing.

Harper lowered her head in embarrassment, but Benjamin acted calm.

Paul frowned and kept giving him looks. Benjamin asked in confusion, "Grandpa, do you have anything to say?"

Paul glared at him in disappointment and then said, "Don't only think about yourself. Take care of Harper." Harper subconsciously looked at Benjamin and said quickly, "No need. I can take care of myself."

"No. You are now a legitimate couple. Don't feel embarrassed. I like to see you two care about each other." Paul became more and more unreasonable. Harper could clearly feel her cheeks hot.

It suddenly became quiet, and all eyes were on Benjamin and Harper.

Benjamin chuckled, "Grandpa, she doesn't need anything. Please don't impose it."

"You are a man. Do you want her to ask you to do something before you do it?"

Paul glared at Benjamin with dissatisfaction.

Lily echoed, "Benjamin, your grandpa is right. Harper is just being polite by saying she just didn't want to bother you."
