I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 95

You Are My Husband

His eyes were slightly narrowed in a warning gaze, and his face was indifferent.

Harper looked at him and said calmly, "I haven't had time to tell him yet."

"Did you not have the time, or did you not want to tell him you're married?"

"Benjamin, even if I tell Isaac about our relationship, what he said is correct. You are not my boyfriend."

"Then who am I?"

"You are my husband."

He was the husband who didn't love her, the one who wanted to divorce her, and the one who loved someone else.

But they weren't divorced now, so they were still husband and wife.

Harper replied naturally and Benjamin was especially pleased to hear it. He smiled and said, "Then go tell him about your relationship with me, also the dinner." "This is not the right time to talk about it."

"When do you think it's appropriate to talk about it? Weren't you even going to tell him? Did he say you were spoiled? By whom? Him?"

His words were flippant, and his face was displeased as he stared at her coldly.

Benjamin's mood changed so quickly that Harper was slightly stunned.

He added, "What exactly do you mean?"

"I don't mean anything. I think it's not good to talk about it in someone else's place."All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Harper lowered her head and stopped looking at him.

"Why? I think you don't want to talk about it."

He narrowed his eyes, and his mild and indifferent face became cold and stern. He lifted her straight up and placed her on the sink, closing the line of sight between them. Harper said weakly, "You've decided I'm unwilling to tell him, so why are you asking me?"

"Are you unwilling?"

"If you think so, then..."

Before she could finish her sentence, he suddenly moved closer to her.

Harper's eyes snapped open. He quickly kissed her lips with a fierce masculine scent.

Thinking that someone could walk in at any time, Harper couldn't help but resist. She forcefully pushed Benjamin away. "Are you crazy? Someone could come in at any time."

"Are you so afraid that people will know you're married to me?"

"It's not that I'm afraid, but we're already getting divorced. Do you think there's any point that everyone knows we've married? Benjamin, you already have Lauren. Why are you being like this? Are you jealous because you see me spending time with other men?"

She smiled indifferently, with self-mockery in her eyes.

She had asked him more than once if he was restricting her movements out of jealousy, but each time, she had received the answer that it was because she was his wife in name only. That was why he cared for her so much.

It had nothing to do with her.

So she thought he would give her the same answer.

However, Harper did not expect to see Benjamin's eyes narrow as he said calmly and slowly, "Yes, I am jealous. So you must behave well, distance yourself from Isaac, and stop doing things that make me jealous, okay?"

Harper stared at him in shock.

Did he know what he was talking about?

How could he be jealous of her?

Harper felt she must have misheard him, and her whole body froze.

Benjamin looked at her calmly, and in the next second, he kissed her lips again.

This time, he didn't give Harper any chance to refuse or struggle, and his kiss went from forceful to gentle.

That was right, it was gentle.

Harper also felt incredible.

As they hugged, they did not notice Lauren was standing outside the bathroom door.

She stared at them in disbelief and anger, especially when Benjamin said he was jealous.

Lauren was in agony, not knowing how things had turned out this way.

She felt that she had to take action. After all, Benjamin had promised to marry her, and she had to make it happen as soon as possible.

She clenched her fists tightly, her eyes revealing hatred. She didn't scream directly but held back her emotions and calmed down. She wouldn't just stop like this. She must make Harper pay the price. Lauren adjusted her emotions for a while before turning to leave.

Benjamin and Harper also ended the five-minute-long kiss.

Harper's entire body lacked strength, and if he hadn't held her waist with his other hand, she would have fallen off the sink.

He bit her ear softly and whispered, "Harper." His voice was soft with a hint of menace as he pressed against her ear and said with unmistakable clarity, "I'm not just saying that. Stay away from Frank and Isaac, and don't forget who your husband is."

Her breathing was still a little rapid, her cheeks flushed and hot.

She hadn't been able to answer, but Benjamin's words kept echoing in her ears like a magic spell, catching her off guard.

Until the end of the banquet, Harper was distracted by Benjamin's behavior.

Harper quietly drove Isaac back to the hotel, not saying a word or making a sound during.

Isaac had drunk a little wine, and now he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes to rest.

A few moments later, the car pulled up in front of the hotel.

Isaac opened his eyes but didn't get out of the car. Instead, he looked at Harper and asked, "Aren't you going to tell me what happened tonight?"

Harper turned to look at him. "What is it?"

"You can hide it from others but not from me. Don't forget, we lived together for three years." He looked directly at her, his expression still gentle, "What is your relationship with Benjamin?"

Harper's eyes were a little distracted. She would have confessed even if Isaac hadn't asked her, but she didn't expect him to notice. Harper and Benjamin left the bathroom one after another tonight, and then she went back first in the banquet hall. Benjamin came back after about half an hour. Then, they never met again.

Harper whispered, "I have been married to him for a year."

Isaac didn't seem surprising.

"I see." Isaac said calmly.

"But we may get divorced soon." Harper added.

Isaac frowned slightly, "Why? Is it because of Lauren?"

Harper said, "It doesn't matter who it's because of."

Isaac asked, "Harper, do you like him?"

Harper was silent, Isaac knew that she had acquiesced.

After almost thirty seconds of silence, she said, "He and I got married secretly, and no one will know about it after the divorce. Can you hide it for me?"

Isaac nodded lightly in agreement.

Both of them fell silent.

Harper's heart was in turmoil as she was already getting divorced, but the words Benjamin said to her tonight left her confused.

Was it because he, as a husband, was jealous of his wife?

Or would he also like her a little bit?

It wouldn't be.

It was impossible.

Harper directly denied it.

At the same time, Isaac's voice slowly sounded. "Benjamin and Lauren were dating a year ago, right? But I never thought there was a deep love between them, and I never thought Benjamin would marry Lauren."

Harper suddenly looked at Isaac with wide eyes.

"Why?"

Harper's instinctive curiosity emerged.
