It Comes In Three's

Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Lottie’s POV

“Alex is going to f**king flip out when he sees you two here!” Jace states, as they lead us up a set of stairs.

“What the f**k is this shit Jace?! Why are you even hanging around here!” Anna argues, as he shakes his head and grits his teeth.

“It’s work.” Del adds for him, as they noticeably struggle with what to say.

“Work? As if you of all people need this f**king work Del! Don’t lie!” Anna states, as we reach the top of the steps and enter into a small balcony.

We peer over the railing, seeing for the first time what this whole thing really was…

A boxing fight! Sure enough, the large ring was in the middle of the room, with numbers of men lining the crowd all cheering and hollering as two men beat the shit out of each other in the ring.

“It’s not my work!” Del replies to Anna, gaining my attention again as she glares at them both.

“So it’s Alex! Alex is fighting again tonight isn’t he? I f**king knew it!” Anna throws her arms up like a mad woman, having lost her temper as I stay back behind Del.

I don’t like it here at all…

“His ribs aren’t healed yet either! Are you three f**king d*mb or what?! Anna continues, as the steam practically blows out from her ears.

My mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water, as my eyes grow teary due to the nerves… Alex is here… to get in that ring and fight someone? But why? What for?!

My stomach began to churn with thoughts of what could happen here tonight… nothing was properly set up… so this had to for sure be illegal… what if he dies?!

“NEXT UP TAKING THE RING TONIGHT… FOR OUR MAIN SHOW… WE ARE HONOURED TO HAVE THE RETURN OF THE DEVIL!” The announcer speaks through a microphone, as the crowd goes wild below us.

My eyes widen, seeing Alex himself saunter out into the ring, wearing nothing more than black boxing shorts. He looks unbothered, as the announcer holds his arm up and receives yet another roar from the crowd.

This can’t be real…

So he’s the one known as THE DEVIL!

“This won’t be pretty sunshine you might not want to watch…” Del turns back to me and whispers, as I can’t seem to find my words – with my eyes still glued to Alex.

“TONIGHTS CHALLENGER, FRESH OUT OF PRISON AND READY FOR WAR, WE HAVE RICARDO PIENNA!” The announcer calls out again, as the terrifying tattooed monster from downstairs enters the ring next wearing red shorts.

FRESH FROM PRISON?!

My eyes widen more, as the man looks smug. He holds his hands up and does a walk around the ring – receiving a mixture of cheers and

boos from the crowd.

“ARE YOU BOTH READY?!” The announcer continues, as everyone goes wild and the both of them nod – getting into position.

How are these people so into this… this is barbaric!

Del moves me slightly more behind him, as I struggle to fully see, before the loud bells are sounded out and I assume the fight starts…

I listen to the crowd as they grow more aggressive, as I watch both Jace and Del also tense up from beside us… what is going on? What if he gets killed in there?!

I can’t handle it anymore, as I decide to step aside – allowing myself to see what was actually going on for myself…

The second I look, I watch a heavy punch get landed on Alex‘ face, causing him to stumble backwards slightly as I gasp and slap a hand over my mouth.

“Someone has to stop this!” I shake Dels arm, as he turns and notices me freaking out.

“Shhh it’s ok! Watch look he’s fine!” Del instinctively pulls me closer to him, offering me as much comfort as he can in this situation, as I watch on.

Alex regains his balance, wipes his bloody l*p with his arm and SMILES?!

Why the damn hell is he in there smiling?! Has he gone mad?!

The prisoner throws another punch, then another, all of which Alex successfully dodges, before I am stunned next when Alex gets in close to him and begins to beat the shit out of the man–punch after punch- not giving him a second more to react.

He shoves the man back, sending him stumbling with his arms by his side and face bloody – before he steps forward and lands one last punch to the man’s face – sending him collapsing onto the ring floor with a heavy thud.

Another man, I’m assuming who is the ‘referee‘ begins to count, as the large man groans and rolls around slightly on the floor…

“Nah he’s out there’s no way he’s getting up!” Jace laughs back over to Del, who smiles and nods in agreement, as I look between them both horrified.

I look to Anna, who was silent and confused like me, as she didn’t look amused with the whole event either.

“STILL UNDEFEATED… YOUR CHAMPION TONIGHT AGAIN IS… OUR BOY ALEX – THE DEVIL!” The announcer calls, as confetti canons are shot over the ring – as he holds Alex‘ arm up and the crowd goes wild again.

They hand him a large black and silver belt, as he smiles slightly and looks around the room briefly before-

His eyes land up at the balcony, his face falling completely into a hard glare the second we make eye contact!

He wastes no more time before leaving the ring – as everyone cheers and the announcer takes over again to conclude the night.

“He’s f**king pissed…” Jace states, as the boys lead us towards the stairs again, my heart hammering with each passing second. Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Alex was an animal in that ring… I’ve never seen anything like it… he looked as though it was effortless, the way he defeated the large guy and was unfazed about it after!

I couldn’t ever get on his bad side… when I thought he was worse than Tommy, Jason and Holden back home… I was absolutely right.

managed to escape those three bullies, but Alex was next level… I need for him to not hate me!

“Why the f**k are they two here?!” Alex emerges into the corridor, shoving Del slightly as he looks infuriated.

“It wasn’t his fault! We came by ourselves!” Anna defends Del, feeling guilty that they were getting the brunt of our own actions.

“They wouldn’t be f**king curious if you hadn’t mentioned it this morning at breakfast!” Alex points a finger in Dels chest next, as he shrugs him off.

“F**king chill out will you?! They would’ve followed us at some point! Del defends, as Alex turns his burning glare towards me next, as I gulp and step behind Del.

“Take Anna back to whatever f**king car they used to get here! I’ll deal with her!” He points directly at me, as the two boys make their way to the exit with Anna…

Why is he going to take his rampage out on me? It wasn’t even my idea!

My eyes tear up, as I step back from the enraged male, as he steps closer closing the gap again..

“I don’t EVER want to see you here again! Do I make myself clear Lottie?!” He snaps, poking a finger into my shoulder, as a tear falls and I nod frantically.

“It… it… it…” I stutter like a babbling idiot, as the fury passes through his eyes like a tornado.

“SPIT IT OUT!” He roars, as I cry more, completely and utterly terrified.

This wasn’t the Alex from the party… this was the Alex who would no doubt ruin my life in a split second!

“It… wasn’t my idea…” I find myself whispering in defence, as he corners me against the wall – enclosing me with his large arms.

“Do you have your own brain? Your own tongue?” He questions in a low tone, eerily calm, as I nod once at his questions.

“THEN USE THEM AND SAY NO NEXT TIME!” He roars, as I cover my face and attempt to hide myself from his fury.

“Stop with the tears! Do you know the types of people that come here? They wouldn’t hesitate on throwing you in their trunk and doing unimaginable shit to you if they got the chance! Don’t be so f**king naive next time!” He finishes, thankfully stepping back as I suck in a

breath of air.

“Let’s go.” He motions, as I follow behind him slowly, wiping furiously at my wet cheeks – not wanting the others to see.

Why does he even care where I go?
