Chapter 202 First Love
“Yeah, do you like it?” Nathael’s gaze landed on her as he spoke in a low voice.
Maggie nodded, “Sam & Co comes from Bretagne, Lefran, and it’s a prestigious family brand. Later on, it got bought out by a Gerland piano group. Almost every piano is handmade, making it one of the top luxury brands in the world, like the ‘Maybach‘ of pianos.”
“I heard that Sam & Co has only sold a little over a hundred pianos over the years. I never expected you to
have one.”
Seeing the sparkle in her eyes, Nathael’s expression softened. “From now on, it’s yours.”
Maggie was caught off guard for a moment, almost thinking she misheard him.
“Why she began, but Nathael had already looked away.
His voice was deep as he continued, “You’re now my wife.”
Maggie felt a tightness in her throat, unable to find the right words to say.
Suddenly, Maggie snapped out of her daydream and focused her gaze on the piano, her eyes slightly
moist.
After all those years of touching the piano in her past life, she finally had the chance to see it.
The piano had a sleek deep brown lacquer finish, made from red spruce wood. Its design was simple and clean, with a subtle gold logo of the brand, giving it an elegant and majestic look.
Maggie calmed herself, set up the camera on the side, tried a few different angles, and made a few. attempts at recording.
After several adjustments, she had found the right spot and vibe.
During another recording attempt, Nathael quietly pushed the doof open. As he stepped in, he saw the girl in a flowing white dress, her long hair cascading freely around her shoulders. Her delicate fingers glided. effortlessly across the ivory keys, producing beautiful melodies that filled the room.
Nathael didn’t interrupt. Instead, he leaned against the door frame, watching her silhouette with a gentle
gaze.
As the piece came to an end, Maggie was just about to stand up to check on the camera when she realised that Nathael had quietly returned.
“How was it?” Maggie’s face brightened with a smile, her eyes meeting his as she couldn’t help but ask.
“It’s excellent as always.” Nathael‘ approached and glanced at the camera, then remarked in a low voice, “You’re not showing your face?7
“Yeah, this video is actually fór Sierra,” Maggie’s eyes twinkled mischievously as she deliberately teased. him.

You want to let her take the credit,” he said.
“How did you know?”
Maggie frowned, feeling a bit sceptical.
Nathael chuckled, running his fingers through her hair, and whispered, “If you can make me happy, I’ll tell
you.”
Suddenly, Maggie remembered the embarrassing incident at the hotel when she was changing clothes. Her checks turned red as she pushed him away. “I’m not here to make you happy.”
Nathael didn’t insist. He just adjusted the camera angle and settings, then signalled for Maggie to start.
Maggie calmed herself and played a rendition of “First Love.” She had planned it out. This sweet yet a little sad melody fit the vibe she wanted perfectly.
Though it wasn’t anything fancy, it easily reminded them of young love, bringing back memories of their innocent days and feeling a connection.
As the piece ended, Maggie let out a long breath and turned to Nathael, asking, “How was it?”
But unexpectedly, when she looked at him, she met a pair of dark, mysterious eyes.
“What’s wrong?” she asked nervously.
Nathael set the camera aside and lifted her, placing her on the piano.
Maggie was startled and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her legs wrapping around his waist. She glanced back at the piano, worried that it might cause any damage.
“You’re out of your mind! What if I break it by sitting on it?” Maggie hung onto Nathael like a koala, afraid of being put down again.
Nathael chuckled softly and replied, “We’ll just get a new one if it breaks.”
Maggie was speechless.
Having money sure makes things easy, huh?
It’s like squandering a treasure!
“Let me down. My legs are numb.”
Maggie urgently asked to be released, worried about damaging the piano, but Nathael had different
intentions.
A hint of amusement sparkled in Nathael’s dark eyes as he turned her around and gently placed her on a nearby long table.
The vase nearby trembled, and Maggie’s tense nerves relaxed a bit. She gazed up at him and inquired, “What… what are you up to?”
Leaning down, Nathael kissed her lips gently and murmured, “Thinking of my first love.”

Chapter 202 First Love
“Huh?”
Maggie was kissed into a state of confusion, almost questioning if her ears were playing tricks on her.
Her eyelashes fluttered as she looked at the enlarged handsome face before her, filling her mind with questions,
Does Nathael have a first love?
The thought left Maggie feeling a bit uneasy, unable to shake off a sense of bitterness.
After all, it seemed odd to think of him not having had a youthful crush.
“Is she pretty?” Maggie pushed him away slightly, unable to resist asking.
Even though she knew it was a dull question, it seemed that once you liked someone, curiosity took over.
“Pretty. Nathael’s deep eyes were as dark as ink.
Maggie pouted, still holding onto a glimmer of hope. “As pretty as me?”
Nathael took a good look at her before saying, “Almost,”
Maggie felt a bit annoyed. Why couldn’t he just admit he couldn’t tell if she was pretty?
But Maggie gave it a second thought.
If she caught his eye, she couldn’t be too bad.
“Did you tell her how you feel? Did she feel the same way?” Maggie’s heart raced, feeling anxious about the possible answers.
She couldn’t quite picture what it would be like for Nathael to be passionately in love with someone else.
Just the thought of it made Maggie feel the sting of jealousy, a sour feeling bubbling up in her chest like lemon fizzing in soda.
“Yeah, I confessed, and she accepted,” Nathael spoke solemnly, his
ice a bit hoarse.
Hearing this, Maggie felt a surge of mixed emotions. “Why the heck were you kissing me if you were reminiscing about your first love?”
“Nathael, are you crazy?”
Maggie pushed him away and hopped off the long table. “First loves are no big deal. Everybody’s got one.”
“In high school, I had this senior who was tall, handsome, and good at basketball. He used to help me with my homework every day,” Maggie/rambled on, unaware of the way Nathael narrowed his eyes, his gaze growing more intense.
“Did you have a crush on him? Nathael asked, his tone calm, giving no hint of anything unusual.”
Maggie hesitated briefly. “No, he was the one who crushed me. He confessed later.”
Nathael’s eyes rested on her radiant face. “And were you into him?”
This time, Maggie stayed silent, lest in reminiscence.
During her sophomore year, she joined the school’s student council, where the president, a senior, stood out for his tall, handsome, and warm demeanour.
Maggie didn’t want to deny that she had experienced some innocent infatuation. Though she couldn’t claim to have loved him, being around him back then brought her happiness.
Recalling Nathael’s mention of his first love, Maggie nodded casually. “Yep!”
As she glanced up and met Nathael’s sombre gaze, Maggie’s heart skipped a beat.
She quickly caught on.
Oh dang!
Is this sneaky guy trying to trap me with his words?
