Chapter 288

Terence reprimanded him sternly.

Emmanuel hadn’t responded yet, but Alessandra quickly apologized, “Old Mr.

Quillen, I’m really sorry! Our family was going through some tough times, and

as the head of the family, I couldn’t financially support them for their

honeymoon. I’ll make sure they’ll have some quality time together this time!”

Of course, they had to go on a honeymoon.

Who knows, maybe they’ll come back from their honeymoon with a few little

ones in Mackenzie’s belly.

The two elderly parents were in perfect sync, leaving Emmanuel with no

room for refusal.

“But Grandpa, I still have matters to attend to at my company,” Mackenzie

tried to resist.

Terence immediately shut her down with a cold tone, “Can’t your company

handle things without you? You of all people should understand the

importance of a work–life balance! In any case, you will be going, or I’ll help

you quit your job right this instant!”

She was speechless.

Quit my job?

Terence Group will be shaken to its core!

Unfortunately, Terence, as the chairman, had the power to fire her if he so

wished. Although she knew it was an empty threat, she’d really rather not risk

truly enraging Terence. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“Mackenzie, let’s go together! The more, the merrier! Plus, we’ll only be gone

for a few days,” Claudette smiled as she urged beseechingly.

Mackenzie ignored her. She knew that any plans from her rival in love would

be unfavorable to her.

“Well, Mackenzie. Let’s go and have some fun for a few days.” Emmanuel

eventually compromised.

It’s hard to withstand parental pressure.

Mackenzie snorted but did not continue to refuse. Therefore, Emmanuel took

it as her giving the green light regarding this matter.

The wedding finally concluded successfully.

The happiest person was none other than Alessandra. She had been worried

sick as her children hadn’t gotten married yet. Little did she expect that within

less than two months, both of their marriage matters would be resolved.

Now, she was eagerly waiting to become a grandmother.

Ryder did not attend the wedding today. Since Abellyn had completely

abandoned her family, he had lost all hope in her.

Now he was taking care of Tommy alone, regardless of whether that woman

was dead or alive.

But unexpectedly, as he was driving his scooter with his son back home, they

happened to pass by the road where Chloe’s rented house was, and he saw

a parked BMW there.

“Dad, why did you stop?”

Tommy was curious. Why is Dad staring at that car?

There was only a man around thirty years old in the car, and Tommy did not

know him.

But Ryder recognized him. He was the man who had been intimately involved

with his wife that night.

“Don’t say anything, Tommy!“.

He quickly hid with his son. He had a premonition that this man parked the

car here because he was waiting for his wife.

Sure enough, after he waited for a few minutes, Abellyn came out of Chloe’s

rented place. She was dressed in a tight skirt with heavy make–up, and Ryder

could barely recognize her.

This woman had been married to him for over six years, but she had never

dressed up so beautifully before.

“Dad, isn’t that Mom? She looks so pretty!”

Tommy did not know what was happening and even wanted to run over and

hug his mom.

But Ryder was so furious that he threw down his scooter and ran towards

them like a madman.

Abellyn was opening the passenger door and getting in when Zane placed

his hand on her thigh and asked, “What do you want to eat tonight?”

“Well, I feel like having—” Her voice turned sweet and alluring, but her eyes

suddenly widened in fear, prompting her to quickly push away Zane’s hand.

Zane furrowed his brows, displeased by her reaction, when he saw a

dark–skinned man running towards their car in a fit of fury.

“Get out of the car! You adulterous couple, get out of the car right now!!”
