Love Has its Will by Selena Lewis Chapter 321

Brandon was lost in thought. He looked down at the crown of Savanna’s head, his eyes shining with tenderness.

Brandon’s fingertips gently rubbed the hair on Savanna’s temples, and his warm voice slowly entered her ears, “Fabian’s offer is very tempting. But I didn’t hesitate to refuse him when he mentioned it. Everything depends on you. I’ll listen to you.”

In a split second, the last sentence was like a wisp of spring wind warming Savanna all over.

Her eyes squinted slightly, a hint of smile sparkling inside. “Thank you.”

They quietly held each other for a while. Then Brandon withdrew his hand. He looked at his watch and said to Savanna, “The hospital called in the morning and said that Grandma was awake. When I was about to go to the hospital, Fabian and his son came, so I was delayed. I have to go there right

now.”

“I’ll go with you,” said Savanna.

Brandon looked at her and nodded. He called Seth and asked him to drive out of the garage.

Two minutes later, Seth showed up in Maybach.

Brandon placed his right hand on the inside wall of the car and gestured for Savanna to get in with his other hand. Savanna seemed to see colorful bubbles in the air. She smiled sweetly. Just as she got in the car, Brandon also got in and closed the door.

The car drove to the hospital.

In the VIP ward, the nurse was bending over to unblock the glass tube on the back of Lorena’s hand. She curled her index finger and thumb and flicked the tube. The liquid in the tube began to flow slowly again.

The nurse said in a soft voice, “Mrs. Young, have a good rest.”

She greeted Brandon and nodded at Savanna before leaving

“Grandma.”

Brandon walked to the head of the bed and met Lorena’s light eyes. After the illness, her eyes were no longer as sharp as before. She even looked a little sleepy, like someone who had not woken up.

Brandon didn’t know if Lorena recognized him. She didn’t respond when he called her. She just stared at him. After a while, she looked at the woman behind Brandon, Savanna.

Meeting Lorena’s gaze, Savanna had to speak. “Mrs.

Young,” said she.

Lorena stared at Savanna for a full minute before she slowly shifted her gaze away. She still did not speak and only closed her eyes, looking very tired.

Brandon looked back at Savanna and motioned for her to leave. Savanna nodded and whispered, “I’ll wait for you outside.”

With that, she went out.

Brandon sat down on the side of the bed. He adjusted the quilt for Lorena. Brandon glanced at the silver hair on her temples. Her hair was all white, and the outline of her face was not as clear as it used to be.

The medicine not only changed her appearance but also caused severe damage to her internal organs.

Lorena sighed, her words slurring, “You’re all laughing at me, thinking that I brought it on myself, aren’t you?”

Brandon said, “Of course not. Grandma, during the time you were unconscious, the Young family had signed several big projects. Everything is developing in a good direction.”

Lorena still had her eyes closed, as if she was in great pain. “You would even risk your life for her. I have such a serious illness, but you’re not willing to come back to see me. In this life, I’m a loser.

Whether it’s you, your father, or your grandfather, none of you listened to me.”

Brandon fell silent when Lorena mentioned this.

He didn’t want to have any more disputes with her.

Brandon’s silence stirred up waves in Lorena’s heart. She opened her eyes and looked at Brandon with a sharp gaze. “She will destroy you.”

Brandon remained silent. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Lorena said, “You’re not afraid of anything, just like your father and your grandfather. For a woman, all of you are willing to throw yourselves into danger. Even if what’s ahead of you is a cliff and you’ll be dashed to pieces, losing your life, you’ll be willing to do it.”

Brandon glanced outside the door and did not see Savanna. He walked to the door and saw her standing outside. When he looked over, Savanna just looked up at him. Meeting his gaze, Savanna smiled at him. Brandon was not sure if she had heard what Lorena had just said.

He said to Savanna, “Wait for me in the car. I’ll come down immediately.”

Savanna responded with “OK”, turned, and left with her phone.

Lorena sneered, “Why did you send her away? Are

you afraid that I’ll hurt her? Can I hurt her in this

state?”

Lorena felt that she was such a loser mired in abject misery.

She began to smash whatever she took. She was completely unable to control the anger surging in her chest. As she smashed, she scolded, “Shelton, if you don’t listen to me, even if I die, you won’t get the inheritance of the Young family. Before I die, I will donate all the assets of the Young family to charity.”

Brandon was indifferent to Lorena’s roar. It seemed that he was not afraid of her threat at all. He even sat down by the bed and calmly lit a cigarette, completely ignoring her crazy behavior.

Lorena couldn’t move her body. There was nothing she could smash next to the bed. Then, she began to beat Brandon. Each blow was heavier than the last. Brandon endured the pain and still ignored her. Gradually, she became extremely irrational and began to tear off Brandon’s clothes.

Lorena made such a big move that she pulled the tube between her fingers. The electrocardiogram fell to the ground with a beep, and then “Clank”, the screen went dark.

Brandon couldn’t take it anymore. He shouted, “Can’t you be quiet?”

Brandon’s cold face, bulging forehead, and the evil aura that leaked out from between his brows gave Lorena a bit of a fright. She panted heavily and her eyes widened. “You yelled at me? Shelton, you actually yelled at me?”

“You unfilial brat, you…”

Like an experienced general who had won hundreds of battles but suddenly failed, Lorena was overwhelmed with frustration, which tore her body, causing her to lose her mind.

The color of her lips slowly turned dark. Brandon realized that something was off, and his eyebrows jumped fiercely. He reached out and pressed the bell. Before the doctor came, he held Lorena’s hands tightly, not allowing her to move.

Lorena couldn’t move, so she could only grit her teeth and glare at him as if she wanted to chop him up.

The doctor came quickly and gave Lorena a tranquilizer. Lorena rolled her eyes and slowly fell asleep. Her white hair, which was dripping with sweat, glowed under the sun.

The doctor instructed Brandon not to provoke Lorena again. Otherwise, she might not be able to make it.

The doctor left.

Brandon stood in front of the bed and stared at Lorena’s sleeping old face. The corners of his mouth gradually became bitter.

The nurse came over and said that Lorena’s attending doctor wanted Brandon to go to his office.

Brandon went there immediately.

The attending doctor said while holding the result of Lorena’s laryngeal mirror examination, “Mr. Young, in the morning, a few of us experts had a discussion. We think Mrs. Young can’t have an operation, so we can only resign her to her fate.”

Brandon was silent.

The doctor continued, “You can ask her family to cook some food that she likes. In two days, she won’t be able to eat.”

People with gastric cancer all starved to death.

Brandon originally wanted to go back to cook by himself, but Savanna stopped him. She said, “You stay in the hospital. I’ll go back to cook and take the food here.”

Brandon nodded. After giving the car keys to Savanna, he turned back to the hospital. Savanna was very upset as she stared at his back, feeling that he seemed no longer as tall as he used to be.

Savanna drove the car back to the Moon Villas.

As she cooked, Neil called.

Neil said, “Ms. Thompson, it’s true that Dahlia came back last month, but according to my investigation, she’s had no contact with Byron since she came back.”

Savanna’s eyes were cold and sharp. “Provide the evidence of Rafael’s crime to the police. Find a lawyer to sue him, and never withdraw.”
