Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time

Once seated, he wasted no time and got straight to discussing the collaboration details.

Although Cole had already partnered with Wilson Tech, that collaboration had been handled by someone else from Franklin’s team.

This was actually Johnny’s first time discussing a collaboration directly with Franklin.

During last year’s birthday banquet for Elder Mrs. Miller, when Franklin and Nolan spoke about the AI field, Johnny had already gained some understanding of just how deep Franklin’s knowledge was.

However, back then, Franklin hadn’t spoken with Nolan for long.

Today, however, they had spent nearly three hours discussing Cole’s new–generation chips, the requirements for their computing and reasoning abilities.

During the conversation, Johnny realized that Franklin’s understanding of AI was far deeper than he had initially thought.

No matter what they discussed, Franklin was never stumped; his knowledge seemed vast.

Johnny even felt that Franklin’s capabilities in this area weren’t any worse than his own.

With this thought, Johnny suddenly felt a twinge of discomfort.

Franklin glanced at the time and said, “It’s almost twelve, shall we continue the discussion this

afternoon?”

Johnny replied nonchalantly, “…Sure.”

Franklin spoke again, “How about we grab a meal together? My treat.”

Johnny didn’t seem interested in dining with him. He replied, “Thank you for the offer, Mr. Wilson, but I’m a bit tired today. I don’t feel like going out. I plan to just grab something simple in the cafeteria. You’re free to go ahead.”

Franklin smiled, “The cafeteria is certainly more convenient and hassle–free. If you don’t mind, would you allow us to join you?”

Johnny:

A few minutes later, the group found themselves in the cafeteria at Cole.

Johnny, as the company owner, alongside Franklin, both of whom were strikingly handsome, attracted the attention of many people as soon as they entered.

Maggie was already eating.

She was sitting across from Glen, engaged in a conversation. At first, she didn’t notice Johnny’s arrival.

It wasn’t until she heard someone greet Johnny, calling him “Mr. Gray,” that she looked up and realized not only Johnny but also Franklin had entered the cafeteria.

Glen also glanced up in response.

When they both looked up, Johnny, Franklin, and Chad noticed them.

Seeing Maggie having lunch with Glen, it seemed their relationship was quite close, but Franklin didn’t show any noticeable reaction.

Johnny had, of course, noticed Maggie as well.

He gave her a glance, signaling her to eat, assuring her that he would handle the situation with Franklin.

Maggie nodded and looked away.

Since the decision to cooperate with Franklin had been made, Johnny had already planned to take full charge of this collaboration.

As for Maggie, during the process, he preferred to avoid any meetings between her and Franklin whenever possible.

After ordering the dishes, Johnny led Franklin to a seat far from Maggie.

Franklin didn’t voice any objection.

Throughout the meal, he didn’t glance in Maggie’s direction.

However, Chad stole several glances at Maggie.

He had heard rumors about the situation between Maggie and Johnny but couldn’t confirm their authenticity.

This morning, when Maggie met Franklin, her attitude had been quite cold, and now in the cafeteria, she

still didn’t show any sign of warmth toward him.

It seemed that she had truly let go of Franklin.

He also observed that, even though Maggie appeared to be close with Glen, and Franklin and she hadn’t yet married, Franklin seemed unbothered.

This didn’t surprise him.

After all, over the years, he had witnessed just how much Franklin disliked Maggie and adored Julia.

With that thought, Chad shifted his gaze.

By the time Johnny and Franklin finished their meal, Maggie had already left the cafeteria.

In the afternoon, Franklin had other matters to attend to. Around three o’clock, he left Cole, though their collaboration discussions were still not finalized.

Therefore, over the next few days, Franklin returned to Cole several times. However, apart from their brief encounter on the first day, he and Maggie hadn’t crossed paths again during the following days.

For the past few days, there had been no interaction between them.

Aside from Johnny, who was aware of the situation, no one else could have possibly guessed that they were married.

After Franklin had visited Cole a few times, the whole company began to learn that Wilson Tech and Cole were going to collaborate on a project.

One day, when Maggie was heading to a meeting, she stepped into the conference room and overheard a female employee saying,

“I ran into Mr. Wilson, the boss of Wilson Tech, in the elevator just now. Oh my God, he’s so handsome!”

“Not only is he incredibly rich, but he’s also so good–looking. I heard he’s really good to his girlfriend too. Recently, he even gave the company Wilson Tech to her! How extravagant! I can’t even imagine how happy I’d be if I were his girlfriend!”
