Mr. Powell Is Hunting for His Wife

Chapter 33: Rumours

Chapter 33: Rumours

Diana looked like a seductive elf under the moonlight.

Her lips opened, and she spoke seductive words.

Diana smiled and turned around after she finished her words. She waved at Brooklyn, “Thanks for sending me back, Mr. Powell.”

After that, she walked into the apartment gracefully.

However, the next second, Diana fell to the ground.

Brooklyn pursed his lips and thought, “An interesting woman who tried to look sexy but don’t.” Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

Diana only remembered that she was still wearing Brooklyn’s coat when she arrived home.

She told Brooklyn before not to wear perfume, so he didn’t, but the coat smelled a bit like musk.

Other than the smell of musk, the coat also smelled like alcohol.

Diana frowned. Why did she wear Brooklyn’s coat back home?

Should she help him to wash the coat?

After some thoughts, Diana kicked away her heels and threw the expensive handmade coat on the couch. She then brought her bathrobe into the bathroom and took a shower. Diana headed into her room after a shower and fell asleep very soon.

It was a Sunday the next day.

There weren’t many people in the Powell Group building other than those who were on duty.

However, those who didn’t need to be on duty today rushed to the office an hour later.

Their supervisor informed them that the Powell Group collaborated with Hillvie and became the biggest dealer in Sliwell City and the whole country. Furthermore, Hillvie will use the perfume Anna created as the inspiration and element for their Spring Collection Haute Couture.

“Anna? Who?” Some staff didn’t know who Anna was.

“Anna, the girl who came to apply for the position of Mr. Powell’s assistant, and she got hired in the end.”

“A perfumer created by an assistant got picked by Hillvie? How is that possible? How much did Mr. Powell spend to make her popular? I think Anna’s perfumes aren’t a competition to Ms. Moss’s perfume at all.”

“Keep it low. It isn’t our business even if Mr. Powell spend money on her. Let’s get to work.”

Harper heard a lot of rumours and gossips about Diana after he walked around downstairs.

He shook his head, then decided to tell Brooklyn about these rumours.

“Mr. Powell, should we stop them? What if Ms. Miller heard?”

“It’s fine. Anna won’t take it seriously,” Brooklyn was holding a pen. He stopped and frowned a few seconds, then said, “Fire those who talked about Mirabelle.”

Harper stunned.

Wasn’t it too much even if Mr. Powell didn’t like Ms. Moss?

But Mr. Powell’s mother liked Ms. Moss a lot.

If Ms. Moss heard about it, it wasn’t going to be peaceful at Mr. Powell’s house.

The news about the collaboration between the Powell Group and Hillvie spread amongst the fashion and perfume industry.

Everyone wasn’t surprised by their collaboration.

It was within their expectation for the strongest company in Sliwell City and the biggest fashion brand in the world to have a collaboration.

But how would a big group like Hillvie notice a young perfumer?

And so happen she was Brooklyn Powell’s assistant?

People in the fashion and perfume industry, and even the rich families in the Sliwell Group was guessing who Anna was.

When a pretty woman got famous, people always expect that there will be a man behind her.

The man behind Anna was Brooklyn.

As the director of the famous Powell Group, Brooklyn has displayed his extraordinary talent in business since he took over the Powell Group at the age of 15 years old.

It wasn’t hard to make a woman famous for Brooklyn.

If Brooklyn wanted, he could spend a wholesome of money and make her the best perfumer in Sliwell City.

But wasn’t Mirabelle Brooklyn’s fiancé?

Mirabelle was the best perfumer in Sliwell City.

Then why Brooklyn wanted to make Anna famous?

In Brooklyn house.

Mirabelle came out of a milk bath, and she smelled like milk.

“Ms. Moss, news about Mr. Powell,” the maid didn’t look good. She brought the newspaper into Mirabelle’s room and handed it over to Mirabelle in fear.

Mirabelle opened the newspaper. She angrily threw the glass onto the ground after reading the news.

Anna got Hillvie’s attention with her perfume!

And she helped out in the collaboration between the Powell Group and Hillvie!

What the hell! Mirabelle knew Anna wasn’t as innocent as she looked. Brooklyn must be the reason Anna entered the Powell Group.

The maid was startled by Mirabelle’s reaction.

What’s wrong?

Why Ms. Moss acted differently?

The maid was shaking, “Ms. Moss, You…”

Mirabelle took a few deep breaths and tried to control her anger.

Mirabelle then recovered her usual look. She spoke tenderly, “I’m sorry, it was an accident. It fell out of my hands. Please clean up. Be careful, don’t hurt yourself.”

“Sure, don’t worry,” the maid felt relieved. The maid thought she was delusional.

Mirabelle put away the newspaper. She walked down from the bed, headed to the closet to get changed, then put on pretty makeup.

Mirabelle can’t help but remember Anna’s face.

Anna looked prettier than Mirabelle imagined.

Anna’s features are natural, and she didn’t need to put on heavy makeup to look pretty and unique.

Anna looked charmed, and Mirabelle could never learn how to be as charmed as Anna.

It was like Anna was born to seduce men.

The more Mirabelle thought, the more she got furious. Mirabelle planned to go to the Powell Group and taught Anna a lesson. Even if Anna was the best perfumer in the world, Mirabelle wanted to let Anna know that Anna wasn’t a competition for her at all. As long as Anna stayed in Sliwell City, Mirabelle will always have the upper hand.

Mirabelle walked out of the closet, and she wore red lipstick, “Get the car ready. I’m heading to the Powell Group to see Brooklyn.”

The maids in Brooklyn’s house knew Mirabelle was the future young mistress, and she will be one of the Powell family members soon. So they quickly prepared the car as ordered by Mirabelle.

Three hours later, a black Bentley stopped in front of the Powell Group.

The security guard helped Mirabelle to hold the car door.

Mirabelle gracefully walked out of the car in heels.

She raised her head and looked at the Powell Group building, then smiled cruelly.

“Anna, let’s you what you’ve got.”

“I’m interested to see what you could do when your boss fiancé is here.”
