“Such arrogance!” An elderly physician from one of the rooms stood up as his face darkened. “You don’t respect the Williams family? You must have a powerful background, right? Pray tell, who are you to say such things?!”
That physician took a few steps forward and looked Dustin in the eye. His presence was intimidating. “Dr. Lewis,” Amara said politely. “This is Dustin Fox, once an orphan adopted by us. Due to certain reasons, he was kicked out of the family. Since then, he has had a grudge against us and wants He came here today to cause trouble and to ruin everyone’s chance to meet the Medical Sage
“I truly regret that we had such a person in our family. My apologies to all of you.” Amara apologized to all the physicians.
revenge.
“Miss Amara, this isn’t your fault. You don’t have to be responsible for this arrogant brat’s mistakes,” a physician said.
“You ignorant fool, how dare you come here to cause trouble?! The audacity!”
“Chase him out! This is an important event! We can’t let such trash ruin it!”
The crowd was riled up, and the physicians condemned Dustin.
Dustin’s face darkened as he looked at Amara.
Was this how Amara truly was? She could easily manipulate people and take control.
Unfortunately, Dustin found such tactics disgraceful.
“I have paid for my entry. No one can chase me out of here,” Dustin scoffed.
“How d
dare you?! Do you know who you’re talking to?!”
The physicians were enraged.
Most of them had high social standing. Some of them came from powerful families. So, they were displeased with Dustin’s blatant disrespect.
Amara and Delia just watched from the side.
After fueling the flames, they wanted to see Dustin offend even more people. They would love that.
“You’re just a group of low–class physicians and aren’t all that great. You’re all so arrogant,” Dustin said coldly. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Right then, the statement hit like a stirred–up hornet’s nest. The physicians exploded in fury and yelled at Dustin. They looked like they wanted to skin him alive.
Simone was worried but could not say anything.
She did not understand how Dustin had become so arrogant.
“Dustin, you really have some nerve!” Amara sneered.
“Let Dr. Williams go!” Delia snapped.
Dustin kicked Alvin away from him.
“You brat!” Delia glared at him.
“Dustin Fox, is it? I remember you now, I swear on my name that I will make you pay for this humiliation!” Alvin spat as Simone helped him up.
Dustin could not even be bothered to respond to him.
This made Alvin even more enraged. He scowled in anger, and his eyes burned with hate.
“Dustin, apologize to the physicians! You’re of low social standing! How dare you offend them?!” Amaral yelled
Dustin looked at her like she was a fool.
“Do you think I’m still that Dustin who used to do your bidding? You’re not worthy of telling me what I should and should not do!”
Amara’s face darkened.
“Do you really think these physicians you summoned here can treat Elijah? Hah! None of them can!” Dustin sneered. “No one can treat the person I injured!”
“You b*stard! How dare you say that?!”
“Such insolence! I hate arrogant people the most!”
The physicians flew into a rage once more, and they looked positively livid.
“Miss Amara, Miss Delia, bring your brother here. We will cure him right in front of this arrogant brat!”
“Yes! Bring him here! We’ll show this brat that we live up to our names!”
“We’ll show him!”
Amara and Delia were delighted.
“Delia, go and bring Elijah here,” Amara said.
Delia quickly went away and pushed Elijah’s wheelchair to the fifth floor within just a few minutes.
Elijah was sedated and asleep. Once he woke up, he would start screaming again.
“Please, do your best everyone,” Amara said.
“I’ll go first,” an old man with a white mustache declared and stepped forward. He was Louis White.
He walked in front of Elijah confidently and examined him.
“Here I was wondering what sort of complicated injury he had. It’s just an injury to his nerves.” Louis sneered at Dustin.
Dustin looked at him mockingly and said nothing.
“Please, cure him!” Amara said hopefully.
Louis took some pills out and fed them to Elijah, who stirred in his sleep. The other physicians praised
him.
With great pride, the physician stepped back and waited for Elijah to wake up.
“Open your eyes now!” he said.
Elijah slowly opened his eyes.
Amara and Delia were delighted.
But the next second, Elijah’s face contorted in pain, and he screamed, “It hurts! It hurts!”
Louis was stunned.
Amara and Delia were dumbfounded.
“That can’t be! Why isn’t he cured? I’ve never failed before!” Louis was shocked, and his face darkened.
It was just some simple physical injuries, and it was not that difficult to cure. Why were his pills ineffective?
He had been a physician for decades, but this was his first failure!
“Let me see!”
Alvin’s teacher, Dr. Lewis, came forward.
He was a reputable top grade physician, and his status was higher than most of the physicians in the
room.
“Please,” Amara and Delia said.
Dr. Lewis checked on Elijah and frowned. His face turned grim.
He shot Dustin a grave look.
“Such a ruthless method! You managed to damage so many of his nerves. It’s a masterful attack. Most of the martial artists in Lovellia can’t do that,” he said coldly.
Amara and Delia were astonished.
Was this piece of trash really that good?
“It’s difficult, but I can handle it,” Dr. Lewis chuckled and fed Elijah more pills.
He was someone who truly deserved the title of a top grade physician because he was skilled in both martial arts and medicine. That was why he was so confident that he could cure Elijah.
Suddenly, Elijah coughed up some blood and fainted.
Dr. Lewis’s face changed. He took a step back with a pale and terrified face.
“How could this be?” He was absolutely stumped.
He looked at Dustin again. This time, his eyes were filled with amazement and disbelief.
This stunned everyone.
Even Dr. Lewis had been unable to treat Elijah. He had made Elijah cough up blood and pass out instead.
They looked at Dustin in shock.
How strong was he?
He was terrifying!
Amara and Della were surprised and furious.
“Dustin, what exactly did you do to him?!”
“You’re so cruel!”
Dustin sneered.
“I told you. No one can treat the person I hurt,” he said coldly.
“I refuse to believe that no one here can cure my brother. Someone will undo the damage you’ve done!” Amara yelled in rage.
“Go ahead and try,” Dustin said nonchalantly.
Of course, he was going to make them start questioning their own abilities if they did.
