My Ex-wife's Hidden Personalities

Chapter 33

Chapter 33

Danna’s heart dropped. “Radley…”

“So, I hope you can issue an apology statement,” he continued.

At his words, Danna became anxious. If she released an apology statement, wouldn’t that imply that she had been lying in the past?

What was more, the statement was directed to Freya!

“Radley, do you know how much my fans have spoken up for me? If I apologize now, it would be a betrayal to them, and 1-”

As she gritted her teeth, she still wanted to argue more. However, when she looked up and met his gaze, those indifferent and cold eyes seemed to see through everything and pointed straight at her heart.

Danna’s heart skipped a beat, and her voice became tremulous as she asked, “Radley, why are you looking at me like that?”

With a cold and stern expression, Radley frowned. “You know, I don’t like it when people lie.”

“I’m sorry, Radley. At that time, I was just too panicked and scared. I never thought things would escalate to this point.”

Danna gritted her teeth, feeling extremely resentful.

“I’ll post on Twitter in a moment to explain the situation and apologize to Freya.”

Seeing that his expression had softened slightly, she tentatively asked, “Radley, did Freya contact you? Shall I apologize to her in person?”

“Never show up in front of her again.”

With Freya’s current temperament, it wouldn’t lead to anything good for Danna if she appeared in front

of Freya.

Sharpness. Her cold demeanor and aura were as sharp as a piercing Diade.

“Well, Radley, will you stay today?” Danna held onto him as she changed the subject.

A blush appeared on her previously pale face as she continued, “You haven’t spent time with me lately.”

However, Radley looked at his watch and responded, “I have a weekly meeting this afternoon. Rest well, and I’ll see you tomorrow.”

With that, she reluctantly watched him leave. An increasing sense of crisis rose in her heart.

It seemed that he was becoming more and more impatient with her!

After leaving Danna’s ward, Radley met her assistant who was returning with tea in hand.

“Mr. Monaghan, are you leaving now?” the assistant asked.

“Yes, and I’ll leave her to you,” he instructed.

As he passed by the nurse’s station in the center of the corridor, he stopped and turned toward the doctor’s office located just beyond it.

“Excuse me, who is the attending physician for Danna Delgado in ward 7?” Radley asked.

The young nurse, who had been secretly playing with her phone, looked up to see his handsome face. Blushing, she stuttered in her response, “It’s Dr. Brown, in the innermost room. Do you want me to show you the way?”

“No, thank you,” he replied before continuing on his way.

With that, Radley went to the doctor’s office alone.

After being asked about Danna’s condition, the doctor explained with a bitter smile. “The patient has significant psychological issues. Perhaps she’s too worried about her heart problems. Although I’ve told her that her heart is healthy, she still thinks that she is sick. This kind of problem is quite common among elderly patients. If the patient insists on being hospitalized, we have no choice. Are you the patient’s family member? You need to console her more.”

Radley listened calmly and then stood up. “Okay. Thank you, Dr. Brown.”

The hospital corridor was very quiet.

He silently prepared to leave. However, when he passed by Danna’s ward again, he heard the sound of shattered glass coming from inside.

“Freya is truly a b*tch! She has been occupying Radley for so many years, and now Radley is asking me to apologize to her! Who does she think she is? What’s the deal with you? Didn’t you investigate her before and find out that she’s just a mortician? How did she suddenly become a rich young lady from the Kaufmann family?”

The assistant’s voice was servile. “Miss Danna, her family background was too difficult to investigate, and we also didn’t expect that a wealthy young lady would take up such an unlucky profession!”

The commotion in the ward could be heard through the door, giving a vague feeling of uneasiness.

Radley’s gaze grew increasingly cold.

Then, he turned around and left the hospital.

In Braxton’s ward, Freya rested her chin on her hand while waiting for her brother to wake up.

Looking at his leg that had been stitched up, she felt deeply heartbroken. Although the injury didn’t affect. his life, it was still painful.

Matthew sat on the chair opposite her. “Kittie, why don’t you take a break for a while?”

“It’s okay. I’ll watch over him.”

Matthew sighed lightly. “Wonder what happened to the owner of the car that hit your brother.”

She looked up and asked, “What kind of car was it?”

After the car accident, while Braxton was still conscious, he called Matthew because he was afraid of frightening his mother and sister.

Therefore, Matthew was the one who had shown up at the scene.

As he recalled, he answered, “It was a pretty big semi-truck. I don’t remember the exact model or license plate mumber because I was too focused on Braxton at that time.”

A semi-truck?

“Where did the accident happen?” she inquired with a frown on her face.

“It was on Tranquility Avenue where the Monaghan Building is located. There’s a small street at the intersection called Serenity Street, Matthew replied.

Freya didn’t have any recollection of Serenity Street, but she knew that no semi-trucks were allowed to pass through Tranquility Avenue before 8 p.m.

Her expression subtly changed.

Half an hour later, Braxton finally woke up.

Seeing that, Freya hurried over and asked, “Brax, how are you feeling?”

Braxton was still in a daze once the anesthesia had worn off. As he blinked his eyes, his handsome face was full of concern.

“Frey…”

“Yes, I’m here.” This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

“Don’t get back with Radley.”

Freya was startled and felt heartbroken that her brother was still subconsciously worried about her.

“Brax, I know. Don’t worry.”

Matthew laughed on the side. He felt relieved when he saw Braxton had awoken. He sat on the other side. of the bed and began chatting nonsense with Braxton.

“Braxton, we’ve been buddies for so many years, and I’ve never seen you like any woman. Tell me, are you

gay? Are you secretly in love with me?” Matthew joked as he returned to his usual carefree self.

Freya frowned. “Don’t bully my brother.”

On the bed, Braxton was still in a daze as he replied, “Umm… I’ve always wanted to hug you.”

At this, both Matthew and Freya were taken aback, and their eyes widened in shock.

Matthew was in a panic, and he almost jumped out of his chair in agitation. “Oh my god, the truth comes out after anesthesia?! Braxton, I’ve been treating you as my brother, but you-

Lying on the bed, Braxton furrowed his brows again. Another whisper came out of his lips. “Isabella.”

His voice was weak, but at least audible.

Matthew clutched his chest, looking as if he had been greatly startled. “Okay. That scared me!”

Freya raised her eyebrow.

Isabella?

Always wanted to hug you?

After waking up from anesthesia, Braxton was both in pain and tired. After babbling a few words, he closed his eyes again.

He had fallen asleep this time.

Seeing that, Freya propped her chin and waved her hand. “Matthew, watch over him for me. I’m going to make a phone call and inform my mom.”
