My Gentle Wife is a Real Divine Being

Chapter 998

Drake kicked the table in front of him. “I wasn’t buying machines. I was helping you catch criminals, okay?”

The two interrogators looked at him like he was crazy. One of them asked, “Why don’t you tell us about the severed hand and the machines in the box?”

“I’ve been saying this for ages. I’m helping you catch criminals. Why are you arresting me? “Drake growled.

His mind was all on finding the culprit who set him up. He was in no mood for questions.

The interrogator ignored his outburst. “How many times have you transported these. machines? Who’s the buyer? Who’s the seller?”

“I’m the CEO of the Lowe Group,” Drake growled. “I’m from Orkgate. I want to know who the hell stole my machines as much as you do.

The interrogator raised an eyebrow. “So, the machines are yours?”

Drake laughed in disbelief, “You know what? Just call Marion and Debra. You must know them, right?”

The interrogators exchanged a glance.

In the Potter Mansion, Debra sat on the sofa. “What? Drake got arrested at the docks?”

Marion nodded. “Like a scene straight out of a movie. Quite dramatic.” novelbin

Debra couldn’t imagine it. Drake, arrested and frantic on the beach? That had to be a sight.

“Then what?” Erica asked, munching on sunflower seeds.

Marion replied, “The police called. Drake wants us to bail him out.”

Randy chimed in, “Why should we? He got caught red–handed transporting illegal machines. Let him face the consequences.”

“Exactly.” Erica agreed.

Andrew, sitting at his desk, sighed, “Could you all please stop discussing this in my study?

“Oh, come on.” Randy waved a hand. “We’re practically living here now.”

The Potter Mansion was vast, with more rooms than they could count. A few extra guests

made no difference.

Debra stood up. “We should go to see him. We can ask about the machines and find out what’s going on. If we don’t go, Drake won’t talk.”

“You’re right, dear. I’ll get the car,” Marion said.

Randy and Erica backed out. “I’m not going.”

“Why?”

“I don’t feel like meeting him.”

“Me neither. I hear the Lowe family’s head is terrifying.

Debra felt helpless. It was possible that Randy was scared, but Erica was always fearless.

She was probably just lazy.

“Alright then, I’ll go with Marion,” Debra said. Honey, go get the car.

Marion nodded. “Sure.”

Randy and Erica watched them leave, shaking their heads.

“Marion is a wolf,” Randy muttered. “How come he’s turning into a lapdog now? Isn’t that a downgrade in the animal kingdom?”
