My Rich Hot and Infertile Husband (Celeste and Liam)

Chapter 38

Chapter 38

The sounds from outside the window were no help to him. What he wanted to hear wasn’t that

“Knock, knock-

The knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. Liam said thoughtfully. “Come in”

The maid entered with a cup of tea.

“Sir, the black tea is ready”

Liam took off his glasses, rubbed the comers of his eyes, and said tiredly. “Thank you, put it there”

The maid put down the tea and left

Liam took a sip and frowned. It didn’t taste the same as before, a bit sour and nauseating

He didn’t drink any more, and just as he was about to pick up his book, his phone rang

He glanced at it, saw it was a strange number, and didn’t answer

The call rang for a while, and then the other party called again. He finally pressed the answer key

“Hello, Mr. Beast Your wife got drunk at our bar. Can you come and pick her up?”

“You got the wrong number”

Liam said indifferently and hung up

But not long after, the other party called again.

Liam frowned and answered again.

“No, I didn’t dial the wrong number. She left this number. Mr. Beast, is your wife at home? How do you

know if the call is wrong or not?”

Liam replied impatiently, “I’m not Mr. Beast”

After saying that, he hung up again.

This time the other party didn’t call back, but a few minutes later, his phone received a photo.

The photo was taken in a dimly lit environment, but it was clear to see that the woman lying drunk on

the bar counter was Celeste Liam’s eyes darkened, and he immediately called back, “Where is it?”

“Where’s my drink? Celeste squinted her eyes and shook her empty glass, stammering, “Who had my

drink?”

The bartender handed her a glass of water, “Here’s your drink.”

Celeste laughed, took the glass and drank a big gulp, then the next second cursed, “You tricked me

with water? Are you afraid I get drunk and not pay? I tell you, my husband is very rich! He can buy all

the bars for me, do you think he cares about this little drink money? Pour me another!”

The bartender had never seen such a drunk woman. She could still tell the difference between water

and alcohol, but she kept babbling about where she lived

One moment she said her husband was a tycoon with enough cars to fill an underground garage, who

traveled in a Rolls-Royce and took a private jet on trips. Then a while later, she was crying and

complaining about having to divorce and not being able to enjoy those things anymore, asking how to

get more money in the divorce.

The bartender was very envious, after all, he no longer had the energy to dream like that.

A commotion came from the entrance, a gray sports car parked outside the bar, splashing a string of

water

Someone nearby exclaimed, “Wow, it’s a Bugatti!”

The bartender was taken aback, and the next second saw the car door open, a man holding an

umbrella walked out, heading straight for the bar’s entrance.

A man walked into a bar, dressed in a suit and tie, looking all serious and out of place

He seemed like he’d fit in better at a high-scale gathering of celebs, not a small pub like this.

But who knew what rich folks were thinking, right? Maybe he just wanted to experience the vibe of a

small pub?

The bartender greeted him with a professional smile, “Welcome…”

Celeste, annoyed, tapped her glass, “What are you saying? You haven’t poured me a drink yet! Hurry

up!”

sta loss with the drunk girl and could only try to calm her down, “Miss, we’re out of alcohol, and the bar

is about to

close.”

“You’re lying! Everyone else has a drink, why don’t 17”

The drunk girl was obviously not good at hiding her feelings. Seeing the Bugatti owner approaching,

the bartender suddenly had an idea, “We really are out of alcohol. This gentleman bought the last of it.

Maybe you can come back tomorrow?”

Celeste frowned and wobbled up, grabbing the man’s collar and poking his chin, “Did you buy all the

drinks?”

Her cheeks were flushed, her clothes disheveled, her hair messy, and she reeked of alcohol, a far cry

from her usual self.

Liam frowned and pushed her hand away.

“Speak up! Did you buy all the drinks?” The bartender’s words, meant to pacify her, were taken literally.

She clung to Liam’s collar, arguing. “I got here before you, why did you buy all the drinks? Haven’t you

heard of first come, first served?”

The bartender got nervous, worried about Liam getting angry, and quickly explained, “Sir, the lady’s

had too much to drink, please don’t take it personally.”

“You’re the one who’s drunk!” Celeste glared at the bartender, “You money hungry guy, did you sell him

the drinks just because he paid more?”

Seeing her almost pull Liam’s clothes out of shape, the bartender womed she would offend him, so he

compromised, “Miss, just let go of him, and I’ll give you a bottle of alcohol for free, okay?”

Celeste held up a finger, waving it in front of him, “No!”

The bartender was utterly disheartened, only to hear Celeste giggle and say, “I can’t drink for free, I

have to give you money”

She let go of Liam and started rummaging through her bag for money, but couldn’t find any. She

frowned and muttered, “Where’s my money?”

“I’ll give it to you for free, no need for money.”

“No way!” Celeste insisted, “I must pay!”

Suddenly, she pulled a diamond ring from her bag and held it up with a grin, “I don’t have money, so

take this.”

The diamond on the ring was astonishingly large, glittering and dazzling under the lights.

Just as she was about to hand the ring to the bartender, Liam snatched it away

Celeste frowned, “Why are you taking my ring?”

Liam gritted his teeth, holding back his anger, “You’re using your wedding ring to pay for drinks?” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“What’s it to you?”

Liam’s face turned ugly.

The bartender hesitated, wondering how this guy knew it was a wedding ring. Seeing Liam’s

expression, he suddenly thought, could he be the rich husband the drunk girl mentioned?

Celeste looked at his face and suddenly leaned in, “Handsome, how much for you to spend the night

with me?”

Liam’s face was cold, his eyes like ice, devoid of warmth.

He spoke in a low, dangerous voice, “What do you think?” Celeste, her head a mess from the alcohol,

didn’t hear the danger in his words.
