"It's me, Linda." William sounded humble.
Linda couldn't help thinking about five years ago and how humble she had been whenever she called William.
It seemed that the dream she had recently had been accurate. Their roles had switched.
"If there's anything you need me for, you can email my secretary, Mr. Wilson. You shouldn't keep switching numbers to call me." Her tone was light, and there was no emotion in her voice. She sounded business-like as if she was discussing a contract.
"Linda, there was a minor detail in our fathers' collaboration that we didn't notice in the past. I've discovered it, and we may need to speak face-to-face about it." William did not even dare to bring up their personal matters.
He knew that as soon as he touched on anything personal, Linda would immediately refuse to see him.
"Please contact the person in charge at my company in regards to any problems with the contract." Linda maintained her distant manner.

"Mr. Wilson, I'm sure there aren't any problems with the contract details or anything to be discussed after So much time has passed.
"As far as I know, that contract was completely destroyed after my father provided financial help to your company. If you bring up problems with the contract now, it will only lead me to think you're causing trouble on purpose.
"My current life is very peaceful and happy. I hope you won't stir up trouble for me, Mr. Wilson. To be honest, it annoys me. I would like a peaceful life." Linda walked inside as she spoke. William was silent for a long time.
"If there aren't any other problems or anything that you need to tell me, I'll hang up. It's time for lunch, and I don't want anyone to affect my mood or appetite."
"Linda, wait-
Luke cut William off. "To the beautiful Ms. Felix, we're almost ready to serve lunch. However, we'll need to wait a little longer for the soup.

apology.
"Linda, who are you with?"
"Who I'm with has nothing to do with you, Mr. Wilson. Whether you're speaking as my business partner or my ex, it is none of your business." Linda looked meaningfully at Luke, and he understood at once. "Mr. Wilson, are you planning to join Ms. Felix and me for lunch?"
William recognized Luke's voice, just as they had known he would.
William felt as if he was going insane with jealousy.
"I stand by my words. If it's about work, please contact my secretary to make an appointment with me. Please don't contact me personally, Mr. Wilson." Without bothering to check whether William had heard her clearly or not, she hung up.
Luke gave her a thumbs up.
"I can finally see that you really don't care about all those years of your relationship anymore."
"Why should I care?" Linda put her phone into her pocket and went to the kitchen to wash her hands. "I've always been a heartless person."
"The more you say that, the more it makes me want to know you further."
Linda turned to look at him. "Coincidentally, I feel the same way. I think you're like a treasure."
