Linda shoved Jimmy.
She began contemplating her earlier conversation with him after finishing her meal at his place.
To be honest, she didn't like being in the spotlight.
Perhaps it was due to her family's long-standing education, a deeply ingrained belief that women shouldn't seek the limelight.
Yet the same people who held such views acted contradictory to their beliefs.
In the afternoon, Linda didn't return to the company but went straight home. Samson was also at home, having just put Lexi to sleep.
"Are you not planning to go to the company anymore?" she asked.
"I had a meeting at the Industry and Commerce Bureau this morning."
"A criticism session?"
"You think they'd dare?"
Linda shrugged. "I've never been there, so how do I know?"
"It's no big deal. People like to stir things up toward the end of the year. Since there wasn't much happening at the company, I decided to come back early." Linda then shared with Samson the conversation she had with Jimmy.
Samson said, "I support whatever ideas you have, but you need to consider the impact of you. Don't just focus on whether it translates into box office success.
"I understand that as a director, you want your movie's earnings to reflect its investment, but I don't support that mindset. The
expenditure is worth it even if this movie loses money, as long as you feel fulfilled and have expressed what you wanted during the
shooting process."

Samson's love for Linda was akin to that of an older brother for his younger sister. He understood her thoughts well.
If Samson were to discuss this with someone else, he would focus on the return on investment, but with Linda, he couldn't reduce everything to financial gains.
"Samson, I understand this money is nothing to you or our company. It's just a drop in the bucket." She understood his meaning.
"You know the money isn't much, so why put so much effort into it? I make the decisions here. I'd support you if you want to create your personal brand or vlog, but if you're doing this to boost the movie's box office sales at the cost of your time and energy, I won't agree," Samson argued.
He felt that Linda was too obsessed. He turned and went upstairs, fearing he might relent if he stayed.
The conversation ended on a sour note. Despite this, Linda persisted with her idea to collaborate with several departments in the company to create a day-in-the-life vlog of a director. The results were indeed as Jimmy had predicted.Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
After the final day of the roadshow, Linda and the main production. team had a meal together. It was kind of a farewell dinner since the actors might not collaborate on the next movie.
