Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

Samson pointed to the couch where a red box was placed. "Daddy prepared a box full of presents."

"Mr. Lynch, you're amazing." Linda was in awe.

She then asked Lexi, "Lexi, do you know how you should keep your presents?"

Lexi shook her head. She seemed to have many but didn't understand how she should store them well.

Linda continued, "You might not know how, but I do. I'll help you store the toys that aren't suitable for your age. It's the same whether I give you any, right? The toys will end up with me anyway.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

"In return, I'll buy you pretty dresses. Don't you want to be the prettiest girl in the neighborhood?

"You'd be heartbroken if anyone steals or spoils your toys, right?"

Lexi couldn't quite process all this. "You're right, Mommy."

She then wriggled her legs, trying to get down from Linda. "Mommy, take all this and buy me lots of dresses."

Linda looked at Lexi with a gentle smile. "I was just kidding. Even if you don't give me your toys, I'll still buy you dresses because you're my precious darling."

Linda took out a key from her bag. "I stored all your toys away in a room."

"Are there so many toys in a room?" Lexi was three years old, so she wouldn't understand how big a room could be.

"Of course, there's a lot. It's even more than what I gave you. When you grow up, you'll understand how many toys and materials are int

there." Samson approached them and crouched down.

The family of three chatted in the living room until Lexi got sleepy.

After the nanny took Lexi upstairs, Simon and Celine handed Linda a present.

"Linda, these are your presents."

Linda was a bit shocked to receive three presents in one night. "Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Lynch. But I'm past the age for presents."

"Is there an age limit for receiving gifts? In our family, children can always get presents as long as we're still alive." Celine smiled lovingly.

"Linda, you might have gotten used to not receiving gifts during your stay abroad, but here, presents are a must," Simon said, trying to stuff the present into Linda's hands. Samson added, "Just take it. My parents have plenty of money. Buying you a gift won't make them bankrupt."

He then received a kick for his quip.

"Is that how you talk? Are you looking for a beating?" Simon asked.

Samson grinned. "I'm just telling the truth, Dad. This little money is nothing to our family."

Linda checked out the present and figured that although it might not be too costly, it was estimated to be priced at annual living expenses for an ordinary family. "Okay, I'll keep it. Get some early rest."

After Simon and Celine went upstairs, only Linda and Samson were left in the living room.

"There will definitely be people visiting during the holidays. What do we do about Lexi?" Chap 15:

Although they might be family, there might be some with ulterior

motives who would secretly take pictures of Lexi. Linda would never risk Lexi's safety.

Samson understood her concerns.

"Don't worry, Mom and Dad have prepared for that. Only close friends or business partners are invited for celebration parties this year."
