Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

"Please don't worry, though. Chloe and I are doing well, and I'm back. on my feet again with my career. My new movie is out on the big screens, and it's gotten terrific reviews," Linda said.

"Everyone who watched it seems to like me. There are people who understand the message I'm trying to put out there.

"These last two years, I've been wondering if I would make the same. decision I did back then if I could go back to the past. I never knew what to think, but I have my answer now."

She paused momentarily before continuing, "If I could go back, I would never have played the hero. Even if I saw a life disappearing before my very eyes, why should I feel guilty about it? I didn't cause it. I feel so silly for saving someone only to leave myself covered in wounds and scars."

Samson patted Linda on the shoulder.

"Adeline and John wouldn't want to hear you beat yourself up so much. As parents, all they want would be to see their children happy," he said to her before turning to the gravestones.

"Don't worry. I'll keep our promise and take good care of Chloe and Linda. They're both grown up now and are really independent. They don't even need my help with most things anymore, so please don't worry. Your daughters have grown up to be excellent people."

Chloe was not a crier. It was with a calm expression that she said, " Mom, Dad, to be honest, I feel like I'm someone who never truly suffered. Since I went to Idaly to study and even now, living with Lindal back home, I've taken good care of myself.

"Of course, I need to thank you guys for working so hard so that I can live comfortably without having to strain myself.

"I know you guy's would have been the most worried about Linda. I've also felt like she was too much of a klutz to trust completely, but don't worry, okay? I'm not a klutz. I'll take good care of her. Please be at ease."

Samson walked down the hill with Lexi first.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

After all, it was only natural that there were some things Linda and Chloe couldn't say around Samson or Lexi.

Samson suddenly met William halfway down the stairs.

It was William's first time seeing Lexi in person.

"Happy New Year, Mr. Wilson," Samson greeted first.

William, however, was staring at Lexi.

"Are you here to visit loved ones?" Samson asked before frowning and saying, "From what I know, there are none of your loved ones buried here in this cemetery. Could it be that you're here to visit Linda's parents?

"If that's the case, I would suggest you leave. The two of them are still having a private conversation with their parents. If you show up, you'll most likely sour their mood. I wouldn't like to see them in a bad mood during the New Year."

Samson was a very agreeable man who only showed his thorns whenever he was around William.

"Is this your child?" William asked dazedly, looking at Lexi in distraught. She was currently clutching tightly to Samson's hand.

"Who else would she belong to? You, Mr. Wilson?" Samson knelt and said to Lexi, "Lexi, please introduce yourself to this man." Lexi obediently said, "Hello, Mr. Wilson. My name is Lexi. I'm turning three this year."

Th

"Wow, Lexi. What a pretty name."

Lexi didn't know about any of the complicated adult stuff that had happened. All she heard was a compliment toward herself.

"Thanks, Mr. Wilson! My mommy said she saw the name in at children's book she was reading. The girl in the book was named Lexi, and she loved the name so much she gave it to me!" William gazed at Lexi as a memory resurfaced in his mind.

They had gone out to dinner with some of their older relatives, who had given them a set of children's books as a way to encourage them to have kids.

Linda had been sitting in the passenger seat.

She was reading one of those books on the drive home.

She said to William, "If we ever have a kid, and it happens to be a girl, let's call her Lexi, okay?"

What had he said in reply?

He couldn't remember, but he knew it couldn't have been anything good.

For some reason, he had been in a reminiscing mood lately without even noticing it.

Every single memory dredged up from his mind hurt like blades against his skin.
