Chapter 264: Have to Go Home
Three years later, in country M.
In the office of the Qin group, a woman was sitting at the desk, leafing through the papers in her hands. The sun shined upon her face, making her delicate little face look fairer.
Qin Muxuan flung the documents on the desk with her eyebrows knitted.
“Knock, knock-” Someone knocked on the door of her office all of a sudden.
“Come in.”
After she had said that, the door was pushed open. The woman who walked in was wearing a white suit and a pair of high heels. After she put the papers on Qin Muxuan’s desk, she sat on the chair in front of Qin Muxuan at once.
“I know everything. What’s your plan now?” The woman looked at Qin Muxuan with a worried look.
For an instant Qin Muxuan was froze. After such a huge incident, she couldn’t believe that the woman hadn’t blame her and only asked for her plan.
Then, Qin Muxuan shook her head, seeming very tired, “I don’t know.”
The woman sighed to herself after hearing Qin Muxuan’s word, then said, “Let’s sell the company.”
“Jian Xi…” Qin Muxuan, eyes wide open, looked at the woman in front of her with an astonished look.
Jian Xi stroked her hair, saying, “Why are you looking at me like that? Or you want to keep the company and watch us losing money.”
“No, that’s not what I mean, but I cannot sell the company.?” After Qin Muxuan pulled herself together and controlled her feelings, she said that slowly.
Qin Muxuan had poured her heart and soul into the Qin group over the past three years, she didn’t want to give it away.
Jian Xi knew what Qin Muxuan was thinking as she saw the look on the latter’s face. “You know about this company’s situation better than I do. We don’t have a better option other than selling it.”
Qin Muxuan was silent as listening to those words. She looked down in order to cover the look in her eyes. Three years ago, she had known Jian Xi through Yin Youting’s introduction. Jian Xi was a businesswoman who invested specially in the design industry. As they had known each other longer, Jian Xi had decided to invest in the company that Qin Muxuan had planned to start.
Since then, Qin Muxuan had created the Qin group and Jian Xi was the largest shareholder of the company. Because of this, now that capital chain ruptured and the cooperation with other companies couldn’t continue, not only would the Qin group go bankrupt, Qin Muxuan would also face huge debt loads.
“Sorry, Jian Xi.” Qin Muxuan said slowly and looked to Jian Xi with a guilty look.
She had let Jian Xi down. Not only had she failed to manage the Qin group, she had even made the company under the pressure of bankruptcy. Also, Jian Xi was the one who would bear the biggest loss.
“All right, there was no need to say that between us.” Jian Xi looked at Qin Muxuan with a resigned look. She knew that she couldn’t blame Qin Muxuan. After all, even she hadn’t seen this coming.
Qin Muxuan felt more ashamed hearing Jian Xi saying that. After three years’ of getting along, Jian Xi was not only a work partner but also a good friend to Qin Muxuan, which made Qin Muxuan more guilty.
Seeing Qin Muxuan getting down in spirits, Jian Xi changed the subject at once, “I have found an entrepreneur in China who is willing to purchase our company. This entrepreneur seems to be very interested in our brand and doesn’t care about our current situation.”
This was good news to Qin Muxuan and Jian Xi, as well as the Qin Group.
Qin Muxuan was a bit surprised to hear Jian Xi’s words. She had thought that Jian Xi had only had the thought of selling the company, little did she know that Jian Xi had already found a buyer. It looked like Jian Xi had prepared to lose everything long ago.
“Who is that?” Qin Muxuan was curious about the identity of the buyer. After all, a person who was willing to buy the company and take the loss shouldn’t be an ordinary entrepreneur.
“That person contacted me through his lawyer anonymously. I only know that his last name is Gu.” Jian Xi shook her head to Qin Muxuan. She barely knew nothing about the person who wanted to purchase the Qin group.
Gu?
Hearing that last name, Qin Muxuan remembered that man subconsciously. Gu Zijin.
Qin Muxuan shook her head and gave up that idea. There were so many people whose last name was Gu, it wouldn’t be him.
“Don’t worry. It shouldn’t be him.” Qin Muxuan had told Jian Xi about what had happened to her and Gu Zijin. Therefore, when Jian Xi acknowledge the entrepreneur’s last name, she had sent someone to do the investigations specifically. According to Gu Zijin’s recent actions in China, this entrepreneur shouldn’t be him.
Jian Xi’s words comforted Qin Muxuan a bit.
“I’ll think about it.”
Still, Qin Muxuan didn’t want to give up because she was expecting an opportunity to save her company.
“That person offered 100 million yuan.”
Qin Muxuan was startled by Jian Xi’s words again. Purchasing a medium-sized company with 100 million yuan sounded too dramatic anyway.
“I was also shocked when I saw the contract. However, that person seems to know our company well. As a matter of fact, if it’s not because of the current situation, it’s a good deal for him to purchase our company with 100 million yuan.” Jian Xi was telling the truth. Over the past three years, the direct sales brand of the Qin group had been staying in the top 10 brands in Country M.
That was a very impressive achievement for a medium-sized enterprise. Also, the designers that worked in the company were all very famous in country M. If that Mr. Gu could fill the hole in the balance sheet after purchasing the Qin group, the company could still run properly. Thus, the contract signed with other companies could still be carried on. Actually, it was very likely that Mr. Gu would make a great fortune.
“Give me his contact information.” Qin Muxuan seemed to be persuaded now. After all, selling a company which was about to go bankrupt at the price of 100 million was a tempting thing for everyone.
Jian Xi smiled, knowing that Qin Muxuan was already a bit moved. “Everything is here.” Jian Xi pointed to the paper she had just given to Qin Muxuan.
Qin Muxuan opened the file and found an acquisition contract of the Qin group as well as the contact information of the buyer’s lawyer. After that, Qin Muxuan put away the file and let out a breath slowly.
Maybe she should give up.
“All right, since the problem was solved, you should stop wearing that long face.”
Jian Xi was more carefree than Qin Muxuan had thought, and the bankruptcy of this company didn’t seem to have frustrated her. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
Seeing Qin Muxuan remaining silent, Jian Xi raised her hand to check the time and then continued, “It’s almost two o’clock. Why don’t we go to eat?”
“How can you still have the appetite now, considering of the current situation.?’
“Man is iron and food is steel. Are you going to bring this company back to life by staying hungry?”
Qin Muxuan, choked with words, moved her lips and said nothing. Then Jian Xi walked straightly to Qin Muxuan who was still sitting there and pulled the latter up from the chair.
“Let’s go. As long as you sell the company, everything will be solved.” After the company was sold, Jian Shi would get 40 million yuan according to the shares she had. Over the past three years, Jian Xi had invested 40 million yuan in the company. If the profits Jian Xi had gained for the three years were counted, she actually had made money instead of losing.
Qin Muxuan let Jian Xi pull her toward the door of the office. Jian Xi was right. Selling the company would be the solution for every problem they had.
“I’ll go back to China a few days later to meet Mr. Gu’s lawyer and talk about the details.” Qin Muxuan said.
Hearing those words, Jian Xi, eyes wide open, put on a cheerful look at once, “Really?”
Qin Muxuan nodded. Of course it was real. She would never lie to Jian Xi about something like this.
“Great. Deal. I’ll go with you then.” Jian Xi even wanted to hug Qin Muxuan at once and kiss on the latter’s face. She had thought that Qin Muxuan would ponder for a while, never did she know that Qin Muxuan would think it through so quickly.
After all, they were losing money so fast right now and the sooner the company was sold the better.
“OK.” Qin Muxuan nodded and agreed. It was a good thing that Jian Xi could come since she was the biggest investor of the company.
“Great, I can finally shut those old guys up.” Jian Xi said smilingly.
Ever since the company’s incident, the old men of the board had gone to the company nearly every day and each time they would bring Jian Xi with them, which bothered the latter a lot.
“By the way, this time we might be in China for a long time. What are you going to do with Xiaoxin?” As Jian Xi thought of Qin Xin, she couldn’t help but get worried.
Qin Muxuan also wrinkled her eyebrows. This was what she had been concerned about. Qin Xin was still too young to leave her mother.
Qin Xin was Qin Muxuan’s daughter and was three years old now. Three years ago, when Qin Xin had been one-month old, Qin Muxuan had moved out of Yin Youting’s villa regardless of his opposition. Although it was hard to raise a kid alone, Qin Muxuan still didn’t want to live in Yin Youting’s house for too long since they were only friends now.
“I’ll ask Youting to help me if there’s no other way.” Qin Muxuan said resignedly. Although she had hired a nanny at home, Qin Xin was actually on a closer term with Yin Youting. Though she couldn’t accompany Qin Xin during the time when she was in China, she believed that Yin Youting would take a good care of Qin Xin.
“By the way, President Yin, such a handsome, rich and eligible bachelor, has chased after you for three years. How can you feel nothing for him?” Every time they mentioned about Yin Youting, Jian Xi just couldn’t help teasing Qin Muxuan with the fact that Yin Youting had courted Qin Muxuan for three years.
“Are you still having a thing for Gu Zijin now?” Jian Xi asked Qin Muxuan tentatively.
“No.”
Qin Muxuan denied at once. She didn’t have a thing for Gu Zijin right now, but she also couldn’t be with Yin Youting either.
