Hence, they got in Mu Ming’s car which headed towards the hotel.

“I should meet the lawyer in the afternoon. Could you show Xin around the city? She kept nagging in my ear.” Qin Muxuan said to Jian Xi.

Jian Xi was immersed in her thoughts, so she didn’t react promptly. She stared at Qin Muxuan blankly. “What?”

Qin Xin climbed onto Jian Xi’s lap. The girl raised her head. Jian Xi saw a trace of expectation in the kid’s eyes. “Xixi, please!” After saying that, Qin Xin directly held Jian Xi’s arm and slightly waggled the woman’s hand.

Jian Xi was about to reject him immediately after she heard that. However, Qin Xin cut in first. “That would be great! Xixi, Uncle Mu can join us!”

Jian Xi gaped at Qin Xin awkwardly. After a while, the woman opened her mouth in a low voice. “Don’t you have to work this afternoon?” She raised her head and peered at Mu Ming.

Mu Ming was afraid that Jian Xi would rebuff him. Hearing her question, he became relieved inwardly. “Mmm, I’m free today.”

In the hotel room, Qin Muxuan had a warm bath. When she stepped out of the bathroom, she saw Jian Xi sat on the sofa with Qin Xin’s doll in hands. Jian Xi was in a daze.

Qin Muxuan strode over and held Qin Xin in her hands. “Hey, what are you thinking about?” She asked Jian Xi.

She shook her head repeatedly, trying to get rid of those ridiculous ideas. ‘Well, forget about all these!’

Qin Muxuan gave Jian Xi a radiant grin. “Mu Ming’s a nice guy. You can try to date him.” Qin Muxuan heeded Jian Xi’s expression.

Jian Xi went stiff when hearing Qin Muxuan mention Mu Ming as if her friend had seen her through.

“He doesn’t have a thing for me.” Jian Xi muttered.
