Our Billion-Worth Twins

Chapter 1368

Chapter 1368

The old man's voice was tired but domineering.

Then the journalists and onlookers made a way for the man...

Yael wheeled Dracon wobbly through the crowd,

"Grandpa?" Catelyn and Cedrick turned to the old man.

Yael wheeled Dracon up to Catelyn and Cedrick. Yael waved his hand resignedly, "I tried to persuade Grandpa Mason into resting at home. But he insisted on coming to see who stirred so much trouble for our family."

Sofia’s eyes gleamed with anger as she saw Dracon.

"It's you! You're still alive!"

Though Dracon didn't receive chemo, he looked strained and weary due to cancer.

He couldn’t fall asleep due to the severe pain.

His eyes were sunken deep into their sockets. Also, there were dark circles beneath his eyes.

Looking at Sofia, who appeared to be so arrogant, Dracon sneered, "How could I die before you, you wicked woman! Ced, don't believe her. Your parents always loved each other!"

Catelyn conjectured that there was an inside story and thought it was an opportunity to reveal the truth.

She pretended to know nothing about it and asked," Grandpa, you mean Mrs. Evans is lying? What’s the real story?"

Dracon took a look at Cedrick, who looked a bit odd.

His memory raced back through the years:

About twenty years ago, Cedrick's father was young and decided to remain celibate for life because of the hereditary illnesses in his family. And then, he joined the army and became a captain.

Later, he accidentally rescued Daphne from an earthquake.

At that time, they were trapped under the rubble of a supermarket. A romantic spark flew when they were huddled in the confined space. Desmond, however, had no courage to express his feelings, because he knew what was in store for his children.

However, Daphne thought Desmond was the one, so she applied for an army medical doctor to follow Desmond.

Her courage moved and annoyed Desmond.

Desmond had tried to persuade her to leave many times but failed. Later, he could only give up...

At the same time, Sofia appeared.

Sofia, from an honored family, was also an army medical doctor and had taken a liking to Desmond on their first meeting. She ran after Desmond, though everyone thought Desmond and Daphne was the perfect match.

Dracon was in Sapphire City then. He made up his mind to separate them when he knew his son was in love with a country girl of humble birth. He contacted Sofia and expressed his willingness to support

her.

Since then, Sofia had taken herself as Desmond's fiancee.

Later on, Desmond suffered terrible injuries on a mission and needed immediate medical help.

Taking advantage of her network, Sofia stood in for the doctor who was arranged to treat Desmond. Besides, she used the opportunity of taking care of Desmond to provoke Daphne deliberately. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Daphne refused to be the other woman. In an inconsolable mood of despair, she opted out of the competition and ran a clinic in her hometown in an effort to help with disaster recovery.

After almost losing his life, Desmond realized he couldn't live without Daphne, even if their children might get his family disease.

Anyway, at least they had happy memories!

Therefore, he asked for a leave of absence to get her back.

Instead of giving up, Sofia sent people to rape Daphne and drugged Desmond in an attempt to have his baby.

Furious, Desmond threw Sofia out of the army through his power and warned her that he would return blow for blow if she didn't change her nature. Outwardly Sofia admitted her mistake, but in reality, she did not spare Daphne...
