Chapter 34 Michelle
“TOUCHDOWN!”
I jump up and scream with the crowd. My heart is pumping with excitement. This is Maddox’s third touchdown! A few more points and they will win for sure!
Not that I am surprised.
He is good at this.
Really good at this.
I never understood football all that much, but after watching Maddox play and coming to all of his practices, I am finally starting to get into the groove.
Maddox waves at me from the field, and my heart flip-flops. We have been going out for a while now, but I still can’t control the butterflies in my belly. Love is a strange thing, isn’t it?
“Gosh, we have the best view!” Addison gushes next to me.
My smile remains.
Maddox made sure our seats would be excellent. Addison’s eyes turned wide earlier when I led her to the chairs with VIP signs. I don’t blame her; I’m not used to the VIP treatment either!
“So glad you invited me,” Addison says dreamily with her eyes glued to Jason’s ass. It’s as if she wants to devour him.
“Actually-…” I trail off. I want to tell Addison that it was Maddox’s idea to invite her, but she is distracted again.
“He is so hot.” Addison means Jason.
“I-I don’t know if Jason appreciates you staring at him like that. You’re not even being secretive.” I laugh, blushing at the way she is behaving. It’s a little much.
Wait.
Is that how I look when I watch Maddox play? “Of course Jason likes it. They can’t wear those tight uniform and expects us not to look!” Addison shakes her head with a “Pfft” sound, making me laugh again.
“You sound like a total pervert.”
“And you sound like my granny. Watch the game, or you will miss something important,” Addison scolds me, so I turn my attention back to Maddox and the game.
Jason runs through the field, then pauses to look at the crowd. He frowns as he sees us. My eyebrows shoot into my hairline. Why is Jason frowning? I thought he liked me!? Oh wait, it isn’t me he is looking at. He has his eyes on Addison, and boy, does he look pissed! “Eeek! He is looking at me!” Addison squeals. I lift an eyebrow at her. “Why are you so acting nervous? Aren’t you guys friends?”
“Are you kidding? Jason still hates me,” Addison says without looking at me. She hasn’t taken her eyes off Jason this entire time.
Jason isn’t innocent either. He should be playing but keeps turning his head to look at us every once in a while. Why do his eyes keep traveling back to her if he hates Addison?
He must like her…
“Hey, Addison?” I poke her shoulder, but she is too busy gawking. I raise my voice. “ADDISON!
“Huh? What is it?!” Addison looks so startled I almost feel bad for bothering her. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
“So you and Jason… You like him a lot, right? Why don’t you just ask him out?”
“Ask him out? You can’t be serious!” Addison looks at me as if I’ve grown two heads.
“Yes?” I blink. “Last time I checked, Jason was single.”
“Oh, but that’s not the problem! Jason can’t stand me. He saw me at his last game and called me a stalker…”
There is a pout on Addison’s face, and I study her face.
I don’t know much about her.
Addison is only sitting here because I ran into her at the supermarket. And then, Maddox pestered me until I invited her to the game.
I need friends, and Maddox is aware of that.
Addison seems like a lovely girl, albeit a bit of a stalker. At least when it comes to Jason Deluca.
A small smile teases my lips. “How many games have you been to with Jason in them?”
“All of them… I even show up for their practices, but I hide…” Her face turns redder, guilty.
“Oh…” I try to keep my smile. “Then I get why Jason thinks you’re a stalker because that’s kind of what you’re doing. Stalking him.”
“Not you too! I thought you were a friend!”
“But you are a stalker! Friends tell the truth to each other. If you show up to all of Jason’s games, you’re either a stalker or… Wait, are you in love with him?”
“Stop it! I don’t love him!” Addison barks, but her cheeks are redder than tomatoes.
“Whatever you say,” I smirk and turn to look at Maddox. It takes my breath away, his form when he moves. “He is so sexy…”
“Thirsty much?”
Startled, I turn around to look at who is talking to me, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Stephanie…
She wears a red midriff top with a pair of low-rise jeans that fit her body to a tee. My bitterness is bubbling to life. Is the woman at a football game or a dance club?
“Hey, Stephanie,” I say quietly. I don’t want to engage her, but at the same time, I can’t escape
her when she is sitting right behind me!
“You are so right about Maddox being sexy. I’ve been massaging him, and it has been so much fun. And the way he moans when I put pressure on his sore muscles…” Stephanie stops talking and smiles mysteriously.
What the actual fuck?
“I’m glad
