“More than breathtaking, Evelyn. You look stunning. Just like the beautiful lady of the night,” Jayden replies, glancing at her body from head to toe.

He is caressing her body with his dreamy eyes. He is not staring at her like a creep, but instead with admiration filled in his eyes, appreciating how beautiful she looks.

Evelyn narrows her eyes. “Who is the lady of the night?” She asks him. She has never heard of that before. It sounds so strange to her.

He beams a charming smile, revealing his dimples. “Evelyn Jones. You are the beautiful lady of the night,” He replies.

Evelyn’s cheeks turn pink. “I can’t believe this is coming from you, Mr. Jayden. I feel on top of the world because you are complimenting me. Thank you,” She says bluntly.

“Get used to receiving compliments from me, if you are going to look beautiful every day,” He tells her, shooting a wink at her.

Morris glares at them. The crazy boss and the ungrateful secretary. They are flirting in his presence, without even caring about him.

His hands squeeze into fists. He is staring intently at Evelyn. She is really an ungrateful bitch. She wore the gown he bought for her just to devote her attention to Jayden. What does she think she is doing? Is she trying to play with his feelings or what? He makes a mental note to deal with her, for trying to make him a laughingstock. He stares at them for the final time and walks away from them.

Evelyn notices that Morris just walks out of their presence. She knows that he is obviously pissed off with her, but she doesn’t care right now. She doesn’t want to think about her crush. She only wants to focus her attention on her boss, Jayden complimenting her, with a sweet smile plastered on his face.

It feels like she is in heaven. She is on top of the world. Her boss telling her these for some reason, makes her feel so happy.

“Let’s dance,” Jayden suddenly whispers gently in her ear.

His breath attacks the hair all over her back, making them stand straight. Why does her body have this kind of reaction to him? To his voice?

Her boyfriend should be the only one allowed to make her feel this way. By the way, it has been a long time since her so-called boyfriend made her feel like this. But, her boss? He makes her feel so special like she’s the only woman in the world. How is that possible?

“Don’t you want to dance?” Jayden asks when she doesn’t give a response to the question he asked.

He lifts her jaw with one of his fingers, making her look into his eyes. “I don’t mind if you step on me. I just want to have you in my arms, while dancing. Trust me, I will teach you how to dance and protect you from falling,” He vows.

Jayden wishes that they can stay in this position for a while, he likes the way his eyes are piercing into hers. He likes the color of her eyes. They are brown, an ordinary color, but they are still beautiful. Her honey-brown eyes are better than the colored ones, including his green eyes.

Evelyn nods her head. “I will dance with you then. Don’t get upset if I step on your toes with my heels,” She says to him, while he just smiles at her and leads her to the dance floor.

Emily stands in a corner, watching Jayden and his secretary on the dance floor. She shut her eyes for a second, feeling a pang of jealousy and anger. Angry with Jayden and her secretary. The crazy bitch was the one that sent her out of Jayden’s company the other day. Are they dating or what? Since Jayden hates being in a relationship, Emily guesses that Eve may be his sex partner.

She feels like punching Evelyn hard on her face and spoiling her beautiful look.

“Hey, waitress,” She calls one of the waitresses, having a smile on her face.

“Hello, ma’am. What should I get for you?” The waitress asks her, and she places her hand on the lady’s shoulder.

“What is your name?” She questions her.

“Emily, ” The waitress replies to her with a confused look on her face.

“You are my namesake. I want you to do a dirty job for me and I will pay you $200 now. Are you down for the deal?” Emily says, grinning from ear to ear. Of course, she knows that the innocent girl won’t be able to refuse the offer. Two hundred dollars will go a long way. She may not even get that amount at the end of her stay at the party.

The waitress’s eyes widen. She doesn’t even care about the dirty job Emily wants to give her, she is ready to do it.

“I am in,” The waitress blurts out, and Emily pats her on the shoulder.

“Good girl. See the lady wearing a white dress over there,” She pauses, stylishly pointing at Evelyn who is engrossed with the dance.

“Hmm,” The waitress nods her head.

“I need you to spill a glass of red wine on her body. Make it seem like a mistake,”

The waitress shivers, shaking her head. “Jayden Turner? I am scared of him. What if he gets me arrested or something?” Jayden is someone no one would want to mess around with. Although he has just been in Oklahoma not long, but he’s quite famous and can be dangerous.

“He can’t do that. I know him very well. Trust me, Jayden is a soft-hearted person. He won’t punish you for a little mistake,” Emily assures her.

“Are you sure?” The waiter asks, her palms already becoming sweaty.

“I am sure, dear. Remember that I will pay you some money. I may increase the money to $250 if you impress me with the task. I want the drink to stain her white dress badly. If you can make the drink red in color, I will be very happy,” Emily rambles, trying to convince her.

The waiter nods affirmatively. The money is a huge motivation for her to do the dirty job.

“Okay,” She mutters, and Emily grins wickedly. This is the tip of the iceberg. She is going to show Evelyn Jones the real thing soon. She is going to make Evelyn suffer.
