Chapter 35
All eyes turn to stare at the gorgeous lady who just walks into Sunrise Nightclub. People can’t keep their eyes off her sexy body. Evelyn obviously deserves the attention she is getting. She is putting on a tight-fitting gown that reaches her upper thigh. Her exquisite perfume also calls a lot of attention to her body.
She glances around the nightclub, ignoring the stares she is getting from the ladies and the winks from the men. She is sure that a man is going to approach her soon.
After Evelyn left the company in the afternoon, she went to the shopping mall. She almost spent all the money on her first credit card, buying things she doesn’t really need. She just wants to spoil herself and forget everything that is happening in her life.
Now, she is in a nightclub.
Evelyn walks over to a corner in the nightclub. She doesn’t want anyone to disturb her moment, that is why she chose a seat in the corner.
She orders alcoholic drinks only. She wants to get herself drunk and probably get laid too. She is ready to sleep with any man who approaches her.
This is not the right way to forget about Raymond, her parents or her messed up life, but this is absolutely the right way to forget about them this minute.
She needs a strong man to fûck her to the extent that she is going to forget everything, including her home address. She wants a man to deal with her in bed so that she won’t be able to walk for a week. That she will just be in her bed craving for more.
The attendant gives her what she ordered. Evelyn gulps down everything in five minutes and asks for more. She is not obsessed with alcohol but she really wants to get drunk and goes beyond her limit of having wild fun.
Fortunately for her, she is rich. She is ready to spend any amount of money, just to have fun tonight.
As expected, a man approaches her beaming a flirtatious smile.
Evelyn lifts her shoulder in a half-shrug. She is definitely going to reject the man’s attempt to sleep with her.
Obviously, he is not her type.
The man is too short and he has five rings on his fingers. She doesn’t know whether he is married or not, that is a walking red flag.
Well, she is going to use him to kill time or make him pay her bills, till another man comes around.
A line appears between Joe’s brows, as he stares at Evelyn Jones.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
“What is she doing in a nightclub?” He wonders.
Joe had seen her familiar figure since she entered the nightclub and attracted everyone’s attention, but he is trying to be sure whether it is Jayden’s secretary or not.
Now, he is a hundred percent sure that she is Evelyn Jones.
Joe watches how Evelyn is flirting with a short man. It is obvious that she is drunk and she is not in control of whatever she is doing now.
He wonders if he should call Jayden or not. Maybe, calling Jayden won’t be a bad idea.
Jayden is not going to like it if anything happens to his secretary. He removes his phone from his pocket and dials Jayden’s phone number.
“What do you want tonight, dummy? Get ready to sleep in the nightclub if something is wrong with your car,” Jayden’s voice echoes in his head.
Joe shrugs. “Why are you always rude? Well, I have something important to tell you. Choose if you want to listen to not,” He says rudely.
“Say whatever you want to say, dîckhead,” Jayden snaps at him, his voice getting irritated.
“Come over to Sunrise Nightclub,” Joe orders.
Jayden hisses. “I am not interested in a damn nightclub. You of all people should know that. I am not a lazy fool like you, I have some important things…”
Joe interrupts him. “Your secretary is here, and she is drunk. I don’t know why she is acting unreasonably. Better come here before this ugly man takes advantage of her drunken state,” He rambles.
Joe hangs up the call, not letting Jayden say another thing. He hopes that Jayden won’t think that he is messing around with him or he wants to prank him. Well, Jayden is intelligent. He should know when he is very serious or joking.
Joe’s eagle eyes are fixed on Evelyn. She is still flirting with the ugly man. Even though Jayden is not here, he won’t let anyone take advantage of her.
Jayden reaches Sunrise Nightclub about ten minutes after he had the phone conversation with Joe. He drove the car at a fast speed, which is why he can beat the time. He is sure that Joe is not pulling his legs when he said someone is trying to take advantage of Evelyn. So, that is the reason he rushed to the nightclub.
Jayden walks into the nightclub. This is his second time in Sunrise Nightclub since he arrived in California. He is not really a fan of nightclubs and night enjoyment. He prefers surfing the internet at night to drinking alcohol and hitting on ladies.
“Fool,” Someone pats Jayden on the shoulder. He turns and it is his friend, Joe.
“Where is Evelyn?” That is the first question that slips out of his mouth. He hates that he uttered those words first. Now, Joe is going to tease him about it again.
The corners of Joe’s mouth curled upwards. He is grinning from ear to ear, sipping the alcoholic wine he is holding.
“Lover boy,” He says.
Jayden runs his hands through his hair, glancing around the nightclub. He is trying to catch a glimpse of his secretary.
He turns to Joe when he doesn’t see Evelyn. “Don’t waste my time. Where is Evelyn?” He asks.
Joe lifts his shoulder in a half-shrug, his eyes roaming around the nightclub. “I don’t know, Mr. Jayden. Do you know where she is?” He asks back, using a teasing tone.
Jayden swallows a gulp down his throat, controlling his anger. “Don’t tell me you called me here just to waste my time,” He says.
“Well, no. That is Evelyn,” Joe mutters, pointing in the direction where Evelyn is sitting.
Jayden heaves a sigh of relief when he finally catches a glimpse of her. He doesn’t bother to tell Joe ‘thank you’. He doesn’t deserve those kind words, after stressing the hell out of him.
“Ungrateful dîckhead,” Joe yells.
Jayden shoves his hands into his pocket and walks over to where Evelyn is sitting.
“Get lost,” He tells the short man, flirting with his secretary.
“Who are you?” The short man queries him.
Jayden throws him a deadly glare, staring down at him. “Should I punch your face before you obey a simple order?” He barks.
The short man doesn’t feel intimidated by Jayden’s height and threats. He also wants to act like a man.
“Who are you? You can’t tell me what to do,” He snaps at Jayden.
Jayden opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes out of his mouth. That is because Evelyn stands up from her seat and hugs him tightly.
Jayden is speechless. He doesn’t know if he should break the hug or hug her back. A huge part of him doesn’t want him to break the hug anymore. He is enjoying the scent of her perfume which is filling his nose deeply and the warmth her body is providing.
Evelyn lifts her head from her chest and turns to the short man. “Leave. My husband is here,” She says with a sweet smile plastered on her face.
Jayden’s mouth falls open. Something is wrong with the lady in front of him. She is really drunk. A sane Evelyn will never address him as her husband.
“But, you told me that you are single,” The short man mutters.
“Keep quiet,” Evelyn snaps at him. “I was deceiving you. My real husband is here and he is going to take me home. Should I just prove to you that he is my husband?”
Jayden gazes at Evelyn with a questioning look. She is facing him, this time around.
Evelyn stands on her toes so that she can be the same height as him.
His eyes blaze brightly. “Evelyn, what are you…”
Jayden is unable to complete his sentence. Well, that is because Evelyn captured his lips in a kiss. A rough kiss…
