Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 168

Chapter 168

Scott looked at the caretaker and handed his jacket to her. "Take this to the room."

The caretaker understood immediately. "Alright." She took Scott's jacket and left, leaving Naomi stunned there.

What was he trying to do?

Scott undid the buttons on his sleeves and rolled them up, showing off his muscular arm. Naomi realized what he was trying to do. She immediately said, "You don't have to do this, you're busy. I'll be fine with the caretaker here."

He wanted to take over the caretaker job and care for her. There was no need for him to do so. He was so busy.

Scott ignored her. He rolled his sleeves up, went behind her, and pushed her out.

Naomi opened her mouth, but no words came out. He was behaving just like the night before. He was not listening to whatever she was saying. He merely did as he liked.

What else could she do?

She closed her mouth as he pushed her forward.

Scott took her out of the hotel. It was a slow scroll, like a walk after dinner.

The work day had just ended, and the roads were particularly busy. A crowd was beginning to form on both sides of the road as well.

"Where do you want to go?" Scott suddenly asked, catching Naomi off guard. She thought they would just keep on heading forward.

She replied, "Anywhere." She had no idea where to go. She only wanted to get some fresh air.

"Hmm," Scott responded and said nothing more. They fell into silence once again.

Naomi pondered for a while before saying, "Last night was an accident, don't take it to heart. I just need some time to get better. You don't have to take timeout of your busy day to care for me. The caretaker you hired is great. She's thoughtful and caring. You don't have to worry about me."

There must be a reason he had returned to the hotel, but it had to be unimportant. Coincidentally, he bumped into the caretaker, taking her out for a walk, so he took over from the caretaker.

He had only done something because he bumped into them.

That was who Scott was.

That was why she told him in detail about her situation. She used an extremely gentle and tender tone to reassure him and told him not to blame himself or feel guilty. She also reminded him not to do things he did not want to do just because of other people.

Just like their marriage.

She did not want him to give himself a hard time. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

Scott stopped in his tracks. What she said was calm and gentle, yet also indifferent and distant.

Scott looked ahead. His gaze darkened.

Naomi did not hear a response but felt the wheelchair stopped. That meant that he had heard what she said.

She was a little relieved. She said even more tenderly, "You can go and work without any worry. Don't waste your time on me. I'm doing well. Don't worry."

The pen is mightier than the sword.

Scott listened to her continue talking. He lowered his gaze and looked at her seated in her wheelchair. Her neat dark hair has been combed back and tied with a black band. She looked calm and quiet, yet also highly unattainable.

His fingers curled around the wheelchair's handles, and he continued pushing her forward.

He looked ahead once more. He said, "I don't think you would say that if I was Charles Ward."
