Olivia's expression fell. She looked at Connor intently as if trying to read his mind.

Connor looked at her, lowered his head, and snorted.

Olivia furrowed her brow, rather displeased.

Connor said with a chuckle, "Just joking!" He looked up at her smiling as if he did not see the changes in her expression.

Olivia was stunned for a while. Then, her brow stopped creasing. "You've changed, Connor."

"What?" He never expected that she would say such a thing. He looked at her curiously.

Olivia smiled. "You've become naughty. You'd never tease me like that in the past."

In the past…

Connor narrowed his eyes and slowly ruminated on that. Many memories came rushing back. He used to listen to every word she said in the past. He would never lie to her or tease her. He gave her all his heart. Nothing left for himself.

Connor smiled. He looked at the confident Olivia and said gently, "Well, like you said, it's in the past."

Olivia's heart skipped a beat. Then, she panicked a little. Guilt and other complex emotions soon followed. She looked away and pursed her lips.

She looked out of the window and said with a smile, "Have you all settled on the time and location?"

She looked at Connor once more, her gaze clear of emotions.

Connor looked at her, still smiling. "Not yet."

After breakfast, when Naomi and Scott met up with the rest of the group, the rain got heavier. The smell of rain mixed with the smell of the sea was something Naomi never experienced before.

Dylan was still with everyone that day. He promised everyone that he would be with everyone for the next few days. He would join them and work with them. Sure enough, he honored his promise.

With Dylan around, even if the weather was a damper, everyone was soon put in a good mood.

Soon, everyone got into a car and headed to a small town. The place they were going that day was a little far. It was a town south of Herland, a two-hour drive.

Dylan, Naomi, and Scott were in one car while the others were in other different cars. There was a staff in each car. Chandler was there, too.

Dylan was in the front passenger seat. He turned around to look at Naomi and Scott behind him and noted that Naomi was reading her documents.

To prevent the two-hour journey from being too boring, Dylan prepared all the information about the place they were going to visit that day so everyone could read on the journey there.

Naomi was focused on reading at that moment.

Dylan looked at Naomi before looking at Scott.

Scott was sitting next to Naomi in silence. He had his eyes closed.

Dylan raised an eyebrow and smiled. "What is it? Did you not sleep well last night?"

Naomi looked up when she heard what Dylan said. Dylan was smiling at Scott rather…suggestively.

Naomi realized that he did look like he did not sleep well.
