Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 591

Dustin was taken aback, "Dad, why are you trying to find Ms. Nathalie? She's just a housewife." Dustin replied, "The Stewart family's troubles started with her, and they must end with her."

Dustin was skeptical, "Does she really have that kind of power?"noveldrama

Regan answered, "I have no idea where she gets her influence, but I'm sure all the recent problems with the Stewart family are somehow linked to her."

Ashley seemed to know a bit more and was quick to back Regan up, "Alright, Grandpa, I'll go get her right away."

Ashley rushed over to Nathalie's place.

The doorman, hearing she was looking for Nathalie, silently led her through the house until they stopped at a secluded door. "The person you're looking for is in here," he said.

But when Ashley pushed the door open, she was surprised to find Nathan sitting at a computer desk. The room was so large that his black outfit made him look even more commanding, like a king on his throne. "Nathan, why are you here?" Ashley asked, astonished.

Nathan gave her a look, "Sit down, let's talk."

Ashley wasn't in the mood to sit, but Nathan's presence had a way of weighing down on her. She sat down reluctantly.

She looked at Nathan's face, her mind flashing back to a gaunt face she remembered, struggling to tell what was real and what was imagined.

Nathan said, "What you're asking for, my Nathalie can't help with."

Ashley was disheartened, "Nathan, please, help the Stewart family." She was desperate, grasping at straws.

But it seemed she had stumbled upon a hidden opportunity.

"You're right to ask me."

Ashley perked up, "Nathan, are you really willing to give the Stewart family a break?"

"What do you mean by giving the Stewart family a break?" Nathan frowned.

Ashley explained, "Grandpa said it was you trying to defend Nathalie and deliberately sabotaging us." Nathan let out a dismissive snort, clearly denying Regan's claim. Yet, he took the blame anyway, "Let's say I did it."

"Then, I've got one condition. Get the coward from the Stewart family, who's been hiding all these years, to step up and apologize for what happened in that school incident years ago. Do that, and I'll make sure the Stewart family's finances stay intact. Deal?"

Ashley was taken aback.

Why was Nathan's demand for helping the Stewart family exactly the same as from the McCoy family?

Ashley pleaded, "Nathan, if you force

the Stewart family to admit they're connected to that old school

incident, our reputation will be in shambles. How can we show our faces after that?"

Nathan's expression turned icy, "How the Stewart family manages is not my problem. If he had the guts to do something so disgraceful, he should be ready to face the consequences. My Nathalie lived through years of hardship because

of his cowardly actions." Content ofhis

"My Nathalie is the innocent one. If she could endure that, why can't the Stewart family, the ones directly

and indirectly involved, face the same?"

Ashley trembled, tears spilling as she begged, "Nathan, please..." She dropped to her knees, her

forehead hitting the ground in desperation.

Just then, Nathalie's gentle voice came from the doorway.

"Nathan, I brought you some pastries."

Nathan's expression shifted dramatically as he quickly signaled to Ashley, "Get up, don't let her suspect anything."

As the words left his mouth, Nathalie walked into the room.
