"Mr. York, if it's not about money, then is it about love? You seem to treat her really well. She kicked you, but you didn't even get angry."

Dylan did not hide his love for Fox. "You guessed it. I want to make her mine, but it's not been going well. It's been three or four months and I haven't even gotten her name or number."

Theo was silent for a moment before he replied, “That's weird, Mr. York. You're not just our boss, you're also a York. Lots of girls would kill to marry into your family. How could she possibly not like you? You've known her for such a long time but she still hasn't even told you her name. Unless... she's not straight, or she's married. Or do you think she might be a lesbian?"noveldrama

Dylan glared at Theo and retorted, "You're the lesbian! She isn't one. She doesn't swing that way."

Fox did not seem like she was married either, though he did not know if she had a boyfriend. Did she have someone she liked? Was that why she remained indifferent to him? Imogen was such a proud woman and even she fell for him after he pursued her for some time.

"I don't know if she has someone she likes, but she doesn't seem married."

"Does she know your true identity?"

Dylan replied, "She does. She's really impressive. I think she's on about the same level as Julian Bucham, though I wonder where she gets her information. You've been working with me since I started in the working world and after so many years, I hope you know I'm only telling you all of this because I think of you as a trustworthy friend."

Theo immediately looked grateful. "Thank you for trusting me."

Dylan replied, "I'm telling only you about all of this. I haven't even told my brothers. Actually, I've asked people to tail her before and even tried it myself, but my men always end up getting blindfolded before getting beaten, and they come back with nothing. I haven't been successful either. She loses me easily and she's really good at it. I think she might actually be a detective, there's just no proof of it yet."

Theo was speechless for a moment. "She's so mysterious."

It was no wonder she was able to live in Dylan's mind rent-free. Sometimes, that was just how people were. The more unattainable the subject was, the more they wanted and admired it.

“She is. I can't get anything on her. If I didn't know for a fact that Julian doesn't have a sister, I'd think she was his sister."

That was how impressive and particularly well-informed she was. If she was not related to Julian, then she had to be a detective, considering how knowledgeable and good at losing tails she was.

"I wanted to treat her to a meal, but she refused and ran off. I don't even know when I'll be able to meet her next," Dylan said with disappointment as he walked back to his office.

Theo yelled at his back, "Good luck, Mr. York! You can't give up! It's rare for you to encounter someone you like, so you have to win her over no matter what! We're counting on you for a lady boss!"

Dylan turned to say to Theo, "Thanks for your support. If my wish comes true one day, I'll double your bonus too."

Theo laughed. "It'll be best if you could double my year-end bonus too."

"Sure," Dylan agreed readily.
