Duncan's eyes gleamed with anticipation as he imagined their wedding.

Emmett said, "Of course. We can't have your wedding be lackluster compared to your friends.

"You don't have to wait till tonight to inform Mom and Dad. You can send them a message in the family chat later."

"Is everything going well for Liberty in Jensburg? Tell her not to hesitate to ask for help if she needs it. Although we're far away, we can still lend a hand if she requires assistance."

The Lewises had treated Liberty like family ever since Liberty took care of Duncan after his accident.

If Liberty required help in Jensburg, the Lewises would surely come to her aid.

"She doesn't need any help for now. Even if she encounters a problem, she'll think of a way to solve it herself."

Duncan leaned against his chair and said, "It feels special seeing her growing and becoming stronger by the day.

"I'll head to Jensburg to oversee her company after settling stuff here. I want her to be able to achieve her goals without worry. A few families and we have invested in her company anyway. It'll feel as if I'm managing my own company."

"You're going to Jensburg again?"

Emmett's smile disappeared. He frowned and said, "It's inconvenient for you to move around now. It's better to minimize your travels.

"Besides, we'll be ushering in the new year soon and Liberty will be back by then. You can just wait for her in Wiltspoon.

"If you really wish to help her, you can do so by looking after Sonny."

Duncan returned a question, "What was it like when you were dating Charmaine? Were you two often separated and unable to meet each other?"

After a moment of silence, Emmett said, "Since you've already made up your mind, I won't stop you. This is between you and Liberty. It's fine as long as you two have discussed it. Are the preschoolers' winter break starting this week?"

Duncan's youngest niece was already in elementary school. Emmett had not been keeping track of the preschool schedule for a long time.

"Sonny isn't coming with me. He's

going to Annenburg to visit his friend. He also hates the cold

weather in Jensburg. Besides, Sonny doesn't need me to take care of him. Serenity and Zachary are doing a great job. If they don't have time, they can send Sonny to Wildridge Manor and have one of the many willing adults take him to

Annenburg.

"Zachary said he even got scolded for not taking Sonny back with him and Serenity to Wildridge Manor the last time."

Emmett chuckled. "That's because Sonny's cute. Are you and Liberty considering having another child after getting married? I know you love Sonny and are very close to him, but he isn't your biological son after all.

"Liberty is younger than you by several years. You two can try for a baby as soon as you get your marriage license. It doesn't matter if it's a son or daughter as long as the child belongs to you. Having a child together can also strengthen your relationship with Liberty

The Lewises had accepted Liberty and did not mind that she was a divorcee.

Nevertheless, they hoped she and Duncan could have a child who shared Duncan's blood, be it a son or daughter.

No matter how adorable Sonny was, the Lewises had always considered him a child of the Browns.

Duncan stopped smiling. He said in a serious tone, "It's her call. I won't bring up having a second baby to her or ask her to bear my child.

"Although Sonny isn't mine by blood, I treat him as one and will raise him until he becomes an adult. I believe he'll respect me as a father as well. Besides, I don't expect him to repay me.

"Sonny and I were brought together by fate. I like him."

Emmett sighed. "Dad and Mom are worried that you won't want a child of your own because you love Liberty too much. Although they're anxious, they can't tell Liberty a thing. They don't want her to feel uncomfortable or drive a wedge between you two.

"However, you should talk to Liberty

about having another child. What if Mom suddenly tells her about it after

your mariage? Liberty mig ne

relationship with her. It's better to discuss it before you two get married."
