Millie was ready to leave the debauched and ostentatious party on the sixth floor when she heard someone whisper, "Is Mr. Greer here?"
"What's his type of girl? My mom will punish me if I fail to sleep with him tonight. I can't afford to have things go wrong..." A skimpily- dressed young woman was on her phone by an emergency exit door.
Lips pressed together, Millie hid in a corner under the dim lighting.
Megan Lake spoke on the phone, "I heard his ex-
wife and current girlfriend are both on the cruise. Things are really tough for me. Can you help me? Dad, I... I..."
Megan started sobbing when her father hung up on her.
Millie's eyes narrowed. From the short conversation, she deduced that the poor woman's parents were trying to sell their daughter's body.
She let out a soft cough. Megan, alerted, spun around. She couldn't see Millie clearly from her angle, but Millie saw her face under the light-a childlike and innocent face.
"Are you looking for Winston Greer?" Millie asked.
Megan visibly panicked. "Were you listening in?"
"Do you have a crush on Winston Greer?" Millie interrogated Megan without offering an answer.
Lips pursed, Megan tried to walk around Millie, but Millie caught her arm. To escape, Megan stepped on Millie's feet, causing her to inhale sharply and
Megan then took her chance to flee the scene, and she was nowhere to be seen.
Millie cursed under her breath. All she wanted was to warn the young woman of Winston's cold-
blooded character. She would only invite trouble by scheming to sleep with Winston!
Besides, Joanna was on the cruise. Millie couldn't guarantee that Joanna wouldn't hurt Megan if she tried to seduce Winston. In the worst- case scenario, she might even be tossed overboard.
Millie left the corridor and entered the lounge area. She sighed helplessly at the sight of the scuff on her shoes.
She took a seat and tried to wipe it off. At that moment, someone joined her.NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
The man slurred, "I'll do it for you."
She turned and saw Sean. He draped his jacket over her knees before lifting her leg by the ankle. She watched him with a shocked expression as he cleaned her shoe with a wet wipe.
Where did he pop up from?
She felt the warmth from his fingertips on her ankle. Feeling her heart sinking, she couldn't help but take
another look at him.
He happened to look at her. Their eyes met.
Following that, he beamed at her. "It's rather embarrassing to have your feet stepped on by a young lady."
Millie turned away. "That's none of your business."
"You shouldn't be this stubborn at this age."
"Sean Stringer, I'm not that old!" she immediately retorted. At her age? She was just 24 years old!
"I saw your ID card. You're four months older than me. I wasn't wrong." His eyes shimmered every time he looked at Millie.

quickly moved away from him.
Straightening his jacket, she asked him, "Do you still want the jacket?"
“Hm? Of course. Why not?" He accepted the jacket from Millie and carried it on his arm.

Millie was surprised that he'd want to keep a jacket that he had draped over her knees. As far as she was aware, most of the scions were fussy glean freaks. Winston, for example, would not have wanted the jacket back.
"Mills..."
She had goosebumps all over her skin when she heard him calling out to her.
"Sean, don't flirt with me," she reminded him with a straight face.
Sean should not be flirting with her. Moreover, there was no chance of anything ever happening between them.
