Ash Moon
Amelia didn’t pay Alexander any heed as she went downstairs and found the panther lying on the floor of the living room.
The panther seems to have gotten fond of her since the days Its master abandoned them for a long time.
Amelia snorted at the thought of Alexander again, so irritating!
Meanwhile, Alexander got up from the bed and was ready to walk out but that sickening feeling kicked in again and he had no choice but to grumble and walk towards the bowl of hangover soup.
He had only heard and seen people take it but he hadn’t tasted it before.
He took it close to his mouth and winced his nose in utter disgust, he didn’t like taking medicine but when he thought of how Amelia had said that it could help him a lot, he hesitated before closing his eyes and drank a mouthful but surprisingly it wasn’t too bitter.
He gazed at the bowl again and drank the remaining Soup left.
“Hmm hah” Alexander sighed and walked out of the room
He walked straight to his room and just then, his phone rang Liam was the one calling
“Hello,” Alexander said as he made his way to his bathroom to brush his tooth
“Grey Scorch was after our lives yesterday, were you aware??” Liam asked directly
“I know, My men were in the area at that time, though they didn’t inform me but they had already prepared everything, he wouldn’t have had the chance to even pull the trigger!” Alexander said as he stood opposite the mirror on the wall of his bathroom that was covered in silver tiles.
“Spare me that, how are you so sure he wouldn’t have blown up our brains??” Liam asked with raised brows from the other side “And don’t get it wrong that I’m doubting your skills or sort!”
“He was targeting us but my men were targeting him from the buildings close by, they watched him closely,” Alexander said “For some reason he didn’t do anything!” Alexander added with a frown
“Maybe he had come after us without Knight’s approval ” Liam reasoned
“Maybe,” Alexander said again as he narrowed his eyes at the mention of knight.
“He’s been calm lately ” Alexander’s expression was so cold like an underwater that was kept in a fridge, his two brows joined in a tight frown.
“He’s too cunning, he surely has something up his sleeves but too bad for him, we’re the alphas” Liam bragged as he chuckled a little
Alexander’s lip formed into a cold arc as he had a charming and yet chilly smirk on “Too bad for him!”
They talked about some business-related matters before he ended the call.
He dropped the phone to brush his teeth, when he was done, he walked out, and then again, another call came in
He frowned as he brought the phone to check who the caller was but his frown softened a bit when he saw the caller.
“Hey Xender!” A sweet and cute voice came from the other side
“Ash what’s up” Alexander said without much expressionContent protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
“Guess what??” Ash said from the other side with a giggle but still had an air of nobility.
Alexander raised a brow, totally not in the mood for guessing “Get straight to the point!”
Ash’s expression immediately dropped a bit with Alexander’s statement but she waved it off as she was already used to his sarcastic and nonapproachable persona.
At least she held a candle in his heart, she was his friend from college and colleague at work back when Alexander was still in America.
They only separated when he came to Europe to Expand his business so she was left in the subdivision company in America.
She secretly has been crushing on him since Their college days but Alexander was too cold and gave her some restrictions so she hadn’t had the chance to be in a relationship with him.
But she still had hope because Alexander hadn’t been in a relationship after his previous relationship with Hilary, nor had he been involved in a relationship scandal which was a great hope for her.
She still had a chance to win his favor
“I just got Transferred, from now on, I’ll be working in The Ron’s Headquarters and we’ll be partners again!!” Ash laughed from the other side.
“Oh, congratulations, your hard work paid off” Alexander praised Ash as she was a devoted worker.
Ash smiled as her heart bloomed with red and pink roses, a word of praise from Alexander could make her go crazy and keep smiling like a fool all day long.
She was the only female amongst their group of friends, so she had a greater chance of dating Alexander Ron.
But she couldn’t act like an uncultured and not well-bred up girl, so she immediately adjusted her emotions and said calmly this time around “I’ll be coming tomorrow morning by 10 am, you’re gonna pick me up from the airport right??” Ash asked with high hopes
“I’ll send a driver over,” alexander said as he sat on a chair with his head resting on it.
“I don’t want that, you know it’s my first time being to Europe, I don’t know much about the areas and I also might need your help to book a hotel, and I don’t feel comfortable staying with a stranger,” Ash said with a coquettish tone, trying her best to convince and influence his decision “please…”
Alexander sighed and felt his forehead “Okay, i understand!” Alexander couldn’t help but agree to her request, she had being by his side since college, ash and Hilary were once best of friends but he had taken a fancy for Hilary instead. Even after the breakup with Hilary, Ash was still willing to stick to him which he appreciated.
When he first became CEO of his family’s business, Ash was beside him and she knew the ups and downs of the business, she was also aware of his second identity but she wasn’t frightened away.
She had been there for him over the years, and he had grown to see how proficient she was and how competitive and competent she was. And he admired her strong will.
“And you also have to treat me to lunch!” Ash added, still waiting for his approval, alexander was so difficult to deal with so she had to always be conscious of how she dealt with him, he sometimes had mood swings and turned down her requests.
“That will be a welcome gift anyway so, it’s a yes” Alexander said cooly without many expressions, he didn’t wait for her reply and directly ended the call
The colors in Ash’s face drained as she stared down at her phone.
He hadn’t changed a bit.
But that was good, he wouldn’t be approachable or accessible to any woman, she would be the only girl close to him until he realized that she was the right one for him.
With those thoughts, colors immediately rushed to her face again as she grinned like a mad woman.
