Suddenly Married

Chapter 27 Second chance

I raised my eyebrows to meet his gaze, but I was also the first to look away. I looked like a teenager with a red face because I was staring at my crush.

I sighed and gasped again. I was really hungry so I didn’t care even if Kian was watching me eat. I could feel his warm gaze on me, and I tried not to be affected.

“You look even prettier, Moo…” He giggled like a teenager. I rolled my eyes.

“I’m lucky to have you. It’s a good thing I tied you to me,” he said proudly. I shook my head. I picked up the glass of ice tea and drank it. He was still staring at me. I could see the amusement and love in his eyes.

When I put down the glass he grabbed my hand. He lightly touched it and brought it to his lips. He kissed it lightly. I blushed, especially when I heard the gasping of the students at the other table. I could see the thrill on their faces as they looked at us.

“So sweet…”

“Hoping all…”

“He’s so handsome!”

“She’s beautiful too. They look good together.”

We still got attention. Kian didn’t mind it though. He is now playing with my finger that used to wear a ring. Our wedding ring.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Unconsciously, I look at his ring finger and was so shocked to notice that he is still wearing our wedding ring. The ring that I’ve given him years ago. The ring I bought with the money I saved just a few years.

I’m not luxurious so I put more than what Dad and Mom used to give me in my piggy bank. I’ve been saving it since I was in elementary school. I was planning to use it to start a small business after finishing college. But as the saying goes not everything planned happens especially if destiny does not allow it.

Putting aside my plans, I thought that I should use the money to buy a ring- our ring.

I don’t regret spending it all on our wedding ring. He didn’t even think to give me a ring even silver or even a cheap ring that can only be bought somewhere. I never thought he would appreciate it.

I was so moved to know that he didn’t take it off for years, even though I broke up with him and left without a word. My eyes watered. He smiled when he noticed me staring at his finger.

“I am married to you. And I have no plan to end our marriage. You are mine, Moo, and I am yours.”

I sighed and immediately picked up the tissue on the side of my plate to wipe the tears that were about to fall from my eyes. The emotions I feel now are mixed. I just realize how much I miss him all these years.

What if he signed the annulment papers then? What if I don’t find out what really happened? That he didn’t really cheat on me. Thinking about the past made me realize my mistakes.

“I love you so much,” he almost whispered.

“Where’s your ring?” he asked when he got no answer from me.

“In my wallet,” I answered. I removed it with my fingers but I never thought to throw it away. Even though what I had in mind was that we were separated. For the past years, though we’re apart, I feel like I am still married to him.

My love for him never fades even a bit. I tried to move on with my life without him. I tried to cover up my happy and painful memories of him. Maybe I was able to divert my attention to something else but to forget him, I didn’t.

I fought my longing for him. Seeing him now after those years of being apart, I felt like my love for him gets deeper. Oh, how I miss him so bad!

After I ate, Kian took me out of the fast-food. He took my hand and immediately folded our fingers. He smiled as he looked at our intertwined fingers, and me taking a deep breath.

“Let’s go to the grocery store before we go home. I don’t eat at home so there are no stocks.”

I just nodded and drifted off as he gently pulled me into the supermarket. He took the cart without letting go of my hand. He looks so happy and he even has a hum as we take stocks off the shelves.

Then I smiled too. I felt delighted now. It was getting dark when we got home.

The house still looks the same. It has new paint but it’s still the same color as its previous paint.

I also looked at our house. It still looks the same. The light is on and there are two cars parked in the garage.

We worked together to arrange the groceries we bought. We also cooked together. We didn’t talk much, because I couldn’t think of anything to say. But he never runs out of topics.

“I’ll do the dishes. Take a bath first,” he said while hiding a small smile on his lips. I could see the twinkle in his eyes.

“Okay,” was my only reply.

I went up to our room. What the room used to be like is still the same. There were only added picture frames hanging on the wall near the study table.

Our pictures. There is also a picture frame placed under the nightstand. It was our last picture together. My eyes watered as I remembered that day.

I just took a quick shower. I wrapped my body with a towel before going out of the bathroom. Kian and I looked at each other. I could see the waves of his adams apple as he simply glared at my body.

I also looked at his swelling manhood even if it was covered by his jeans it was obvious. He cleared his throat before pointing to the clothes he had prepared.

“I-I’m going to take a bath too,” he said before quickly entering the bathroom.

My cheeks blushed when I saw the undies that came with the shirt and shorts he had prepared. After I got dressed, I stared at the picture of us under the nightstand before I went to bed.

Minutes later Kian finished taking a bath. He was wearing a white shirt and boxer shorts. He leaned over to me but was there a few inches between us. He faced me while I lay flat, facing the ceiling.

“What are you thinking?” he asked. I took a deep breath and shooked my head.

“That night, when you said that I was your biggest mistake did you mean that?” he suddenly asked.

“No. I just said that out of anger, ” I answered before facing him. He smiled sadly. So am I.

I caressed his cheek. He closed his eyes to what I did but he also immediately opened his eyes and looked at me.

“I thought it was the last day of our marriage. I thought it was the last time I would hug you.”

I said almost whispering. It felt surreal.

“That will not happen. I will not allow us to go that far,” he replied. I could feel his love for the words he had been uttering to me ever since. He caressed my hand holding his cheek.

“I love you so much, Kian. Thank you for not giving up. Thank you for not ending everything for us. I’m sorry for leaving you. I am here now, I will never leave again.”

“And I will never make any reasons for you to leave me again,” he added to my remarks. I smiled.

“I think it’s the part where I should kiss you,” he playfully said. I laughed and clung to him myself.

“I love you, Moo,” he whispered before he attacked my lips with passionate kisses.
