Chapter 792
Chapter 792
Larissa looked up to see an angry, dark–faced Gary. Behind him was Marilyn, who looked very serious too.
When he saw Larissa standing outside, Gary stepped walking in surprise.
Larissa humedy greeted him. “Mr. Logan Senior, Mr. Logan Junior.” She bowed her head. She did everything she could to act like she was not familiar with these two men.
Gary nodded and grunted once in response to Larissa. Then, he walked away without even looking at her to help maintain her act.
Lewis also paused in front of Larissa. “Late with no reason. Your attendance bonus along with other bonuses for this month are deducted. “He played the part of a cold, heartless superior, and he ordered Larissa, “Come to my office and explain the reason why you were late.”
His voice was not quiet, so all the other colleagues stuck at the door of the meeting room could hear him.
Marilyn gave her a look of sympathy while the others sneered at her.
Larissa bowed her head even more. She followed behind Lewis.
The moment she entered his office though, she looked up at once and rolled her neck. She complained, “Fuck, it’s tiring.”
Lewis gave her a look. “Serves you right.”
He and Uncle Gary never wanted her to hide her identity in the first place. Larissa was the one who insisted on suffering through this. She even let idiots bully her.
Larissa pressec her lps together and decided not to argue with him.
“Is your lever gone?” Lewis sat in his chair and asked her as he worked on his computer.
“Yes,” Larissa also sat down on a chair in front of him. “I measured before going to sleep yesterday.”
“Fair enough. If your fever isn’t gone, Mr. Rogers would not have let you come.” Levis coked up to stare at her thick down jackel. Then, he said. “You could have worn the outfit you did lecay earler. You just had to make things harder for yoursell.”
“The others think my outfit is lame.” Larissa tugged on her collar as she pouted. “I just came here. Shouldn’t I try to blend in with the
department?
“That’s not necessary.” Lewis‘ tone became serous. “You will be the company’s future manager. You don’t need to have good connections with your subordinates and employees. The only thing you need to co is to convince them with your capabilities. Sa-
Lewis opened the slideshow she sent over and changed into work mode in a second. “Are you ready to report?”
Larissa’s preparations were very good, and her report made Lewis satisfied.
“Once your cold is completely gone, you will meet clients with me in a few days. You will officially follow up with projects.”
This was the process of getting familiar with the company’s operations, and it was something Larissa had to go through as the successor of the company.
“Okay.” Larissa was a little excited.
Compared to sitting at her workplace and staring at documents, Latissa preferred to perform fieldwork. She did not need to suffer any rejection from her colleagues either,
Alas. Lewis killed her excitement. He gave her a huge slack of documents and told her. “Firish reading all the information about the projects over the next few days.”
Larissa carried the documents back to her workplace.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
