Chapter 8 I’m Not Leaving Tonight

Chapter 8 The Not Leaving Tonight
He headed to the study with the other glass. He was about to knock when the door opened, revealing Adrian.
Philip stuffed the glass into his hand. “Stop working. Adrian. Don’t you realize it’s your wedding night? Here, drink up and have a good night’s sleep.”
“Thanks, Grandpa.” Adrian accepted the glass without thinking much of it.
Philip sat on the couch after watching the two youngsters drink the milk. He waved at them and said, “Go to your room and hit the hay. Don’t worry about me–I’ll sleep on the couch.”
Farrah was worried he would catch a cold. “There’s a guest room, Grandpa,”
“Nah, I like the couch.” He put his walking cane down and lay on his side, his gaze trained on the master bedroom. “Get in there, you two.”
Adrian and Farrah were rendered speechless. The former could tell Philip was forcing them to sleep in the same room, and the latter seemed to get this, too. She felt a little awkward.
After a brief silence, Adrian turned to head into the master bedroom. He didn’t shut the door. Philip frowned at Farrah. “Why are you still standing there, Fay? Get in and get some rest! Chop chop! Time is of the essence, especially on your wedding night!”
