Chapter 6
“Will you take that off?” Quin scowled.
“But the dress is too short,” I said, clutching the coat.
She wouldn’t let us leave the car and go into the party until I dropped the coat.
If I bent in this thing my thong would flash for the world to see. The bust was tight so it elevated my breasts more than normal.
“You look sexy! Besides, you owe me for this.”
Yeah, if she hadn’t come over Neel would have known I lied and he was already annoyed with me after I brushed him off.
“Fine.”
“There! You look hot. Don’t have too much fun, you’re an engaged woman.” She smirked.
I sighed and followed her inside. I clung to my bag as we walked inside. The music wasn’t loud so we could hear each other speak, but the living room was packed with people playing games and making out on the couches. I passed an open door leading to the pool outside as we made our way to the kitchen to grab some drinks.
I picked up the red cup before Quin and took a large gulp.
“You’re drinking?” Quin laughed.
I winced as the burning liquid went down my throat.
“Bad idea,” I said.
Quin wore a flashy red leather dress that hugged her generous curves. The sweetheart neckline elevated her breasts. A few guys eyed her up as they walked by not me though, because my brothers could rip their heads off.
With my makeup and straight hair, not everyone should recognize me. At school, I was the girl with the messy bun and long cardigan clutching her books. I wasn’t classically popular but being the Alpha’s daughter made me popular by default. Quin deserved her popularity. She was the head cheerleader and the beta’s daughter. She was the centre of attention at our table and always got invited to the coolest parties. I took another swing from the bitter stuff in my cup. Sometimes I felt like her lap dog. I had other friends but Quin always told me they weren’t popular enough to hang out with us.
When I zoned back into reality Quin was talking to Dom, the party host. His cool blue eyes landed on me and drank me in.
“Don’t get funny ideas, Dom,” Quin said, with a hint of malice in her tone.
“Don’t be a buzz kill, who’s your friend?” He nodded at me.
The makeover worked.
Quin scowled. “Elaine!”
“Elaine? Damn, where’ve you been hiding that body?”
Heat rushed to my face. Quin rolled her eyes and grabbed her cup off the counter.
“I’m going to find Helen and Jenifer.”
“What? No…” but Quin was already through the kitchen door.
Dom was a high school graduate like most of the guys at this party. Normally my brothers wouldn’t let me attend but they were too busy to stop me and I was intent on getting away from Neel.
“Want to sit with us? We’re playing pool.”
Maybe after tonight, I wouldn’t be Neel’s perfect virgin. I grabbed my cup. Dom was a handsome dude. Quin lost her V-card when she was sixteen while I’ve been scared stiff.
Dom guided me through the back door to where a bunch of people swam in the pool. We passed the large pool and joined a group of guys and one girl surrounding a pool table. I drowned the rest of the alcohol and dreaded the emptiness of my cup. I recognized two of the guys as last year’s seniors, the girl was foreign to me but the other guy…
“I brought us a friend, Elaine’s on our team.”
“I can’t play,” I said quickly.
Dom grinned. “I’ll teach you princess.”
A chuckle and Lucas straightened his spine after making a shot.
“Isn’t it the Alpha’s little princess? Good to see you, Elaine, real good,” Lucas said, licking his teeth.
Dom took my cup. “I’ll get you another drink.”
Lucas closed the gap between us and smiled. “I bet you don’t remember me.”
His intense woody cologne went to my head but I liked it. “How could I forget the guy who wore hot pink pants and yellow cardigans?” I offered him a pressed smile.
His nostrils flared and then the girl burst into laughter.
“It’s a wonder how no one beat you up, Luke!”
“Fran,” he growled.
She slipped off the stool and walked up to us.
“Francine Shaw,” she extended her hand.
Did she know I was a Ryker and we were sworn enemies? There wasn’t anything malicious about the girl with cool blue eyes and coyly blonde hair. I shook her hand and smiled.
“She’s on my team,” Fran said.
Dom returned with my drink. I took a large gulp and suddenly I relaxed. I didn’t mind that Quin abandoned me and I didn’t know the first thing about pool. All I wanted was a good time.
After my third drink, I was ready to skinny dip! It was my turn to hit the ball with the stick last time the stick flew out of my hands and everyone laughed. I giggled thinking about it. I fumbled with the stick. It felt like butter and my hands were a hot knife. I giggled imagining my hands as a knife.
“You look like you need a little help,” Lucas said as he walked up behind me.
He took the stick wrapped his body behind me and enveloped me. His hot breath caressed my cheek.
“Follow my lead,” he said.
My body bent with his. I tried to focus on the stripped ball but it kept moving.
“Ready?” Lucas whispered.
I bobbed my head. Lucas made the shot and the stripped ball hit the other stripped ball and rolled into the corner whole. Fran and Dom clapped.
“Thanks for helping my team win Luke,” Dom grinned, his eyes fixed on me.
Lucas ran his hand down my arm. “It was worth it. Want to get out of here, Elaine?”
I frowned at my empty cup. “Will there be beer?” I asked.
“Something more pleasurable than that, sweetheart,” Lucas chuckled.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
So long as it was beer I was going.
Dom stepped forward, grabbed my left arm and yanked me forward but Lucas gripped my waist.
“Watch it, Luke,” Dom boomed.
A bolt of Alpha power passed through me and hit Dom. He winced and stepped back.
“Watch it. Elaine wants to go with me, don’t you, sweetheart?”
I giggled at him. “Of course. Can we go now?”
Lucas smiled. “Of course sweetheart.”
Dom shook his head but Lucas and I walked off together. I stumbled a few times but Lucas’ arm around my waist prevented an epic fall. I felt like a butterfly. Carefree and beautiful. I felt like I was glowing under the waxing gibbous moon. We got to the parking lot. I span and wrap my arms around Lucas’ neck.
He slammed me against a car and inhaled deeply.
“You don’t have alcohol. You want to fuck me.” Normally I wasn’t this forward but the power of alcohol was mystifying.
I didn’t care that Lucas was the enemy. In the moment I was a glowing butterfly.
Lucas chuckled. “You want that, Doll?”
I nodded enthusiastically. Lucas opened the door and I fell into the backseat.
“Good.”
He ripped off his leather jacket and climbed in.
I grabbed the back of his head and crashed his lips against mine. It took me a minute to get into his hungry rhythm.
“You taste so good,” he groaned.
His knee parted my legs. Moisture formed between my legs. I hoisted my hips so I could grind myself on his thigh.
Lucas threw his head back and laughed. “We’re going to have so much fun.”
“Lucas!” A voice with the equivalence of an explosion interrupted us.
“Oh fuck.”
Lucas climbed off me. “Where are you going?” I whimpered.
A staggering man bore down on us. His blue eyes locked on me. Damn him, he interrupted us.
“What the fuck are you doing with her?” He demanded.
“Nothing, nothing,” Lucas replied.
“I thought you were going to fuck me?” I asked, staring at him.
Lucas shut his eyes and sighed. “You don’t kiss and tell, Elaine.”
The large man grabbed Lucas by the shoulder and shoved him away from me.
Just then other cars violently drove into the parking lot and several guys dressed in dark leather stormed out of the cars. Was this a raid?
